I took my fur baby who was 17 yrs old to be sent to heaven as he was extremely unwell…read more I had the most traumatic experience of my life by taking him to Kirrawee Veterinary Hospital for his end-of-life experience and cremation. I would never in a million years recommend you go to this vet as it has been my hellish nightmare. Firstly the EFTPOS machine was thrust into my face before his final moments. But yet this was not even the worst of it. I paid for him to be cremated. He was supposedly cremated the week before Xmas. I rang the vet and spoke to Megan a Vet nurse, after waiting 2 months to find out where he was and I was told that they couldn't locate him and he was possibly discarded with other unclaimed dogs. I was then told that my fur baby was displaced because I hadn't let the vet know what I wanted done with him even though only 2 days later I paid and request what I wanted to be done with his remains. Then I was later told that he was finally located with the other "Bodies" in the freezer of other unclaimed dogs and maybe it was my fault that I took too long to tell them what I wanted to do with my baby's remains. I paid and told them 2 days after his passing. After speaking with Megan (the vet nurse) she told me that he would be sent off for cremation 2 months later. That night I cried my eyes out about what had happened to my fur baby and I worried about how he had been treated. I sent Megan an email and then she rang me the next day and said that she expected my response and thought that I should have been angrier as she thought I was too calm when I spoke to her the previous day. Of course, I was calm I was in total shock that I was going through this and Kirrawee Vet didn't seem to think it was an issue. I told her I didn't trust and told her that I wanted to ID my pets body. I didn't want someone elses dog coming home to my home. She rang me back and said his body was already sent for cremation and if I wanted to ID him I had to let her know ASAP as he would be defrosted. (Now this was getting worse and worse). She said he was already sent to Pet Rest. I was given a number to ring and the lovely man at Pet Rest said that my dog was sent to Parramatta and he was in Mona Vale. A lovely lady from Pet Rest rang me to ID him. My dog was incontinent and at the time of his passing, he was wearing a nappy. Kirrawee Vet told me that they would remove it and thankfully they didn't as this was the only way that I knew that he was correctly identified. The lady told me that he was a little white dog and I said "Yes" I am sure that you get many little white dogs. My baby was a PugxMaltese and yes he was white. The only thing that let me know that it was him was because Kirrawee Vets left on his nappy that was white with orange things on it that were little orange ducklings that let me finally know that they had the correct dog. If it wasn't for them leaving him in his nappy I would never have know that I truly had the right dog. On 10/2/2023 Megan "Promised" me she would ring me when would let me know when my little boy would return home to us. Of course, she did not. On 28/3/2023 I rang Kirrawee Vet yet again and found out that he was returned and I could pick him up. I am so angry, disappointed, and brokenhearted that our family has gone through this most disgusting experience. I did finally speak with the practice manager who apologized. but to be honest this is not enough. Kirrawee Vet seems to be more concerned about making money than they are concerned about your pet and the end of life of a four-legged fur baby than the families who are left behind. I would not recommend them ever.

As sweet as a Vet gets…read more.. This animal hospital is situated in the semi-rural suburb of Rossmore, in Greater Western Sydney. It's the only vet in Sydney that has an Magnetic Resonance (MR) Unit that have facilities for your pet to perform an MRI scan if necessary. This is a pioneering veterinary center that employs staff who really care about your animal. I recently took my kitten here for a consultation regarding his "bad breath" which I was affectionately told was caused by Gingivitis he contracted when he was a stray, as he was born on the streets and I found him in my garage when I moved into my last house. This wasn't too concerning as he is going through his teething phase anyway where his kitten teeth fall out and new adult teeth come through - and he was prescribed a fortnights worth of antibiotics which worked immediately, and his bad breath was sorted within a day! I was very pleased with the result and the trustworthiness I felt towards the vets at Rossmore Vet, so I booked him in with them to be desexed the following week. Being the new mother of a kitten, I was of course, very concerned about my little boy's admission into the Veterinary Hospital, but I had every faith in the Vets that work there, so I felt very secure that he would be just fine. And he was! They didn't even keep him overnight, I simply dropped him off at 9am and then was able to pick him up after work at 6:45pm that evening. Delighted that he had recovered from his sedative with no issues, I left the Vet being told by the surgeon that he was one of her favourites, and everyone who worked there thought he was a little sweetie! I have since booked him in for his further vaccinations, as I am very impressed with their work ethic, employees, environment and overall vibe of this new service which I must now become accustomed to. I am just so pleased that I have found an appropriate, convenient, and valuable (value for money too - they do not overcharge you) complex within the outskirts of Inner Sydney.

If only I had not sent her to Rossmore Vet, my little girl would have been alive and celebrating Christmas with us. On Tues (20/12), my little girl went for a simple procedure of de-sexing and was discharged the next evening. We found her breathless the following morning. Rossmore Vet deny any wrong however she was bleeding internally and discharged without appropriate checks. She was the MOST beautiful, caring and gentle soul. I will never forgive Rossmore Vet - you have taken a part of me. Please be careful when you take your pet to this horrible place - they simply don't care. Look after your babies...and avoid Rossmore Vets. My fit and healthy girl had many more years to live but this right was taken away from her. How can you be so cruel and negligent in your duty of care? How can they continue to carry out their business?? I will not rest until I find justice for my little angel..... Whilst Rossmore Vet & staff enjoy Christmas, my house is quiet with silent cries and thoughts of our baby. We cry the most when our other dog cries as he misses her so much - our heart is absolutely broken. I wouldn't recommend an inch of a STAR for this awful business!!
