We always end up waiting 2 and 3 hours to be seen by a the vet.... Because there is always an emergency... i get it they take priority... but... let patients with appointments know instead of making them wait for hours... very unprofessional.... I even called 10 minutes before my appointment... and asked how the Dr was running with appointments... i was told ... they were running on time... i get there... 10 minutes later...and i check in ... and still waited 3 hours!!! Was told there was an emergency... same thing happened a week later... this time i waited 4 hours in the parking lot because i have a dog that gets stressed in the waiting room... and i never even saw the Dr... the assistant ended up giving my dog vaccines in the parking lot!!! it seems to happen A-LOT... it leads me to believe they either over book their schedule or the Drs don't know how to budget their time ... and its with both Drs... i only waited because i was going on a trip and i needed to get vaccines in order to board.

But I believe these people are loving of animals! This will be our last dog as costs to get help are rising all the time. But it's a good place to bring your pet. Consider getting pet insurance to help with rising costs.

The day after our appt the vet called me first thing in the morning kindly giving me the results of tests they had taken the previous evening. The staff did not push for decisions to be made immediately instead allowed me the time necessary to think through my beloved puppy's health outcome and all the staff even showed concern for both my wonderful furbaby and myself. They worked with me teaching and providing medicine so that I could be attentive through the weekend. Which I thoroughly appreciated. Although the outcome was not one that my heart liked I made the decision with full information including cost, potential prognosis and other alternatives. I honestly felt as though I was provided all of their knowledge, test results, understanding and compassion. The place is very clean, well organized and schedules are kept timely. I travel full time and they could not soothe my intense heartache yet everyone that I interacted with at this location made my puppy going to the pearly gates sooner then I was ready ease my grief a very small bit. Nothing will take her place and time alone will endear the memories moreso yet I truthfully feel indebted to all the of people at this facility for being the shoulder that I could depend on during this difficult time.

My pup was recently neutered. His post op was so good, pup didnt even know anything happened. A perfect recovery. The have a great reminder system for busy people to not overlook upcoming events. The Dr. was extremely insightful with some abnormal problems I was having. All my visits have been above expectations. Very clean and comfortable environment, lobby and exam rooms. I highly recommend Dr. Dymund for her exceptional surgical skills. I place 100% trust in this organization. Especially when decisions are to be made in confusing situations.

Very matter of fact and absolutely no compassion. That should have been a clue. Now my elderly dog is at the end: we know his larynx is now an issue and he has rattling sounds. It's time. Emailed them Sunday and asked if I could bring him in on Tuesday. In the meantime gave him cbd to calm him so he can breathe. Explained the situation that we don't want him to die a slow death not being able to breathe. Response? The time you request is unavailable, pick one of these two times on Wednesday. I'm attaching a photo of the email. I called and texted are you kidding? Response was we don't have an opening. Go to an emergency vet. What callous creeps. Needless to say, we didn't want to bring him to a stranger but it looks like we have to. The vet situation in the Poconos is awful and after Awsom wellness shit down the rest have us by the throat. My mission is to contact our local politicians and see if they can't help fund an animal clinic with visiting vets so that all of us with animals have a caring, compassionate place to bring our animals.

She was seen by another vet prior to visiting Pocono Peak that did her vaccines and I sent the records through Pet Desk their so called "convenient" app to make appts. I was told it would be okay to send records through the email the app provided. Not only is it an email they don't use, but they blamed me for not having received the email with the records. Furthermore, I made an appt to get the Lyme/Lepto vaccine done for my puppy on the 6th of October for a nurse visit. Immediately after the visit I made an appointment for October 27th for the vaccine to get boostered. They gave a "final" DHPP INSTEAD of a Lyme/Lepto vaccine when I brought her in for the appointment. If she was coming in two weeks after to get it boostered it SHOULD HAVE been put in the notes in Infinity (their computer system) what vaccine she would be receiving October 27th so the mistake could have been avoided. When I called about the error they said they never received records (when they were 100% sent) and that I would not be receiving a refund due to it being my mistake not theirs. As a veterinary technician I have been in this field for quite sometime and I trusted this hospital with the care of my new puppy. It's not what you say, but how you say it and them blaming me for this was extremely unprofessional. I highly recommend taking your pet elsewhere such as Barton Heights Veterinary Hospital, Pocono Lake animal hospital or Animal Hospital of Mt. Pocono.
