Dr. Shoop is a wonderful, compassionate vet. He will even come to the house if you have a pet that needs to be euthanized. His prices are very reasonable also. He came to give all 4 of my cats their vaccines. Done in the comfort of their home. read more

Came to the house on a Sunday I paid extra for Sunday visit. Would tell him dog was is pain no response. Did blood work and never treated pancreatitis or hypothyroidism. Found dog also had diabetes he gave very low insulin amount for a huge dog. Her sugar went up to 700 and dehydrated. He texted me about thyroid medication 5 days after. The day my dog was so far gone with no hope. Dog was walking when he saw her, and in 6 days with little contact. My dog could no longer walk. He was busy or on the road I was told over and over again. Didn't see things as urgent. I pleaded with him asking when he would make another appt. I can send texts to prove this review. Now my dog is dead. I am sure in some cases Dr. Weiss is very good Will be contacting the board of Veterinary Medicine. read more

We only moved to the area a few months ago, and I feel so lucky that when I searched for a vet online, Pocono mobile veterinary service is who I chose. Our beloved Kirby was rapidly declining, in his health, abilities and seemingly his quality of life. He was a dog with issues from the beginning, and in his old age it became more worrisome to us on how we might get him to the vet. Dr Weiss answered my call himself, listened to me blubber on about my dog, and agreed to come at the time I needed him to come without hesitation. ( I needed to wait for my husband to come home from work from NYC) When the Dr. arrived, he patiently listened to us talk about our dog, our fears, concerns and just about Kirby, and all the things we loved about him, and what made him so special to us. Dr Weiss was so reassuring as we came to the inevitable conclusion that this would be the end of our dog's long happy life. With such care and concern, FOR US, as well as our dog, he gently helped Kirby cross that rainbow bridge, in the comfort of his own home, not afraid and traumatized in an office which he always hated so much... I will always have dogs, we will adopt again when the time is right for us, and I also do know I will never use another vet. Dr. Weiss was referred to us by a family who chose at home euthanasia for thier beloved pet. We wanted to eliminate any undue stress for our 13 year old dog, who hates car rides. Dr Weiss returned my call quickly, and was at my home in Easton in 30 minutes. Our very sick baby quickly took to him and after an evaluation right in our living room was able to diagnose his condition and felt that euthanasia was unnecessary. He administered a few shots while our baby laid comfortably on the couch, provided 10 days worth of medication, clear instructions for his care, and wants a follow up call in 2 days. All this at a very reasonable price!! I am sure my regular vet would have insisted on bloodwork and x-rays which probably would have cost more than double what I paid Pocono Mobile Vets. I can't ever imagine going back to my old vet. Dr. Weiss was personable & caring.. just absolutely wonderful!! read more
