He had fully planned to stay on, but for various circumstances involving his own health, he appropriately requested to step down, and gave notice in a full-page newspaper ad. If the patient was taken aback by the admittedly unforeseen circumstance, she wasn't playing attention. 2) The records retrieval and chart copying charge for $10 for each child and $1 per page is wholly fabricated. If it were true, it would be highway robbery. But shouting that a banana was priced at $14.95 does not mean it actually happened. When a copy of a chart is requested, the .75 cents per page is a standard dictated by the New York State Dept of Health; that has always been the case with this and most physicians' offices. The contention that "the most" one can charge for copies of charts is .25 cents per page is the creation of an ulterior mind. Likewise, the retrieval charge for accessing the records from storage is also a standard $5/child--always has been, and always was at the time, and is based on actual expense. However, with some rare exceptions--mostly chronic or persistent congenital conditions, such as diabetes or development delays--complete charts are mostly useless for the offices that receive them. Pediatricians' offices require one thing for the vast majority of healthy children that transfer to their practice: an updated immunization record. And here's the real kicker: Copies of these are always available for NO CHARGE. Free I tell ya! So while the story relayed by the reviewer makes for great cigar-chomping, muckraking, scenery-chewing melodrama, for what she REQUIRED to transfer to the physician of her choice, she could've easily had for a song and a dance. Without all the ensuing drama. 3) Former employees, released for just cause, have one thing in common: an axe to grind. Add to that the embellishment of a former patient of a former physician of a former office, and you have makings of tabloid fodder with about as much validity as TMZ.com. A more accurate test would be asking current patients in the (usually full) waiting room for their opinion: Are they there for the no doubt impending censure of the office of "doctor misconduct new york" (whatever that is) or just to bask and soak in the "money-hungry" milieu? Bemoaning unforeseen circumstances that are no one's fault, creating phantom charges from thin air, citing the suspect testimony of biased vindictive parties: these are the shrapnel of a destructive mind bent on some kind of self-satisfying vengeance. Keep this in mind before swallowing wholesale anyone's OPINION (me included!). Here's a novel idea: If you're in need of a pediatrician, come in one day. Look around. Ask other parents their thoughts. Schedule a visit. See for yourself, not based on someone's delusional bad experience. Then if you're so inclined, write your own (good or bad) review, based on objective facts. THAT, folks, is accurate and constructive.

I rarely have a problem getting an appointment and they have sick hours which are amazing. And I have even called after hours before when my daughter was sick and received a call back from Dr. Mazur. Like any office there is a wait time when you arrive-but this is like any office-so it amazes me that people complain about this. But if you go in the evening or weekends, expect to wait. Staff is amazing. The secretaries that have been there forever are so friendly and remember us by now! And we have seen and worked with all three of the doctors there. The nurses welcome my girls behind the desk to pick out a million stickers after each visit. They do require all their patients get vaccinations-which I appreciate it. So if you do not vaccinate your children, this is not the practice for you! I love this place and have gone SO MANY times, especially during the winter months with croup and ear infections! During a brief insurance lapse of just a few weeks, when my 2-year-old with asthma began coughing, I reached out for help getting his usual medication -- and the entire experience was unnecessarily cold, bureaucratic, and dismissive. I was told that because I hadn't filled that prescription since April (less than a year ago), we'd need to come back in person, even though it was clearly on record. I was also told there were no refills left, but CVS confirmed there actually was one -- which they refused to transfer from our old pharmacy on Long Island. When I tried to clarify what to do next, the front desk repeatedly talked over me -- even after I calmly said, "I'm still speaking" -- and then hung up. A doctor called back at one point and left a voicemail saying, "Call if you need anything," but when I did, I was told the doctor wouldn't speak with me and that I'd need to wait until Monday for the office manager. It's now Wednesday, and no one has called me back. Most concerningly, I was repeatedly shamed for not taking my son to a local doctor -- even after explaining that we were temporarily uninsured and trying to avoid hundreds of dollars in fees for what should have been a simple refill of a medication already on record, prescribed for a 2-year-old child with asthma. One staff member even accused me of not bringing my son in for months, which was both untrue and completely inappropriate. He is fully up to date on all well visits and vaccines per AAP guidelines -- I simply hadn't needed to bring him in because he hadn't been sick until now. The lack of compassion and communication was deeply disappointing. I'm a concerned mother trying to prevent my toddler's asthma from turning into something serious while waiting a few days for insurance to restart. It shouldn't take this much effort, or meet this much indifference, to get a necessary medication for a young child. Ironically, the same week this happened, the office was still calling and texting me to schedule well visits -- so perhaps their systems, and their approach to patient care, both need some reevaluation.

This office was referred to me by a close friend who has two young children, but I didn't want to go to the first office referred to me right off the bat. That is why I placed several calls to other pediatrician offices. This office immediately stood out. And now, even after going for my son's two month wellness check up, I know for sure I made the right decision. Right off the bat, from my initial call, the office manager was extremely informative. She sent me paperwork prior to our first visit and let me know how things would go about after my son was born. I was instantly relieved as they explained what needs shortly after birth. Our first visit (and the others right after, because our son was a bit on the smaller side) were just as informative as my initial phone call. I also had a visit with their lactation specialist who was super cool, easy-going, and very reassuring. She is there every Tuesday, and you could book an appointment just to see her or book an appointment to see her on the same day your child has and appointment. They also have a great protocol put into place for COVID. You wait in your car and once you arrive you text the office to check-in. They text you back with a number for where you can wait in the waiting room. Appointments are very well spaced out and I feel safe visiting each time. They have several doctors at the practice, and we've seen three of them so far and they all have been great. The nurse staff is awesome as well. After today's two month check up I noticed that our nurse recognized our son, which was very refreshing. The office itself is very clean, and fun for children. Each room has a different theme and there's also a huge fish tank in the center of the waiting room, very entertaining for children. Finally, I do have to speak to their telehealth system. A few weeks back we had a question and didn't know if it was serious enough to bring our baby boy in. We set up the app and booked a telehealth appointment and within 30 minutes we saw one of the doctors, virtually. He was empathetic that we were first time parents and reassured us that our baby was OK and we were doing a good job. If I could praise this place more I would. I am super comfortable with my baby being treated here, and look forward to him growing with this office.

It was a terrible experience and they misdiagnosed my son. I had heard about Dr Caduri but i was concerned about the hours since she was a sole practitioner. She always makes herself avaliable for me. When she is not in the office, calls get forwarded to her cellphone (which she ALWAYS answers). She even volunteered to come to the office on Saturday to see my son when he wasn't feeling well. She takes her time and is very thorough and gets to know the kids. My son is not just another patient to her. I am moving to Florida in 2 weeks and my only complaint is that I cannot take her with me. I will never find a pedisairican as good as Dr Caduri and it makes me very very sad.
