They always provide excellent care, seeing kids the same day if sick or squeezing you in if you forget your kids needs a physical at the last minute. I love that their are so many doctors because my kids each have a favorite who suits their individual personalities/needs. The entire staff from reception to medical department are so kind. She is the most amazing doctor. I can't say enough about this practice. She truly cares about the kids she takes care of. I tell all of my friends to go here. When the nurse assistant came into the room to take the swab, he never confirmed our child's name or information. My wife immediately noticed that the test container had the wrong name on it, but instead of correcting it on the spot, it seems it was left as is. Now, more than 48 hours later, we still do not have any test results. Each time we called to follow up and explained that the name was wrong on the container, we were told the same generic response: "test results take 24 to 48 hours." Not once did anyone take ownership of the mistake or provide a clear answer on whether our son's test was actually processed correctly. As first time parents, this situation has caused a lot of unnecessary stress and worry. Accuracy and proper communication should be the most basic standards in pediatric care, especially when testing an infant for RSV. Instead, we left feeling ignored and brushed off, without confidence in the care or the system in place. Parents trust facilities like this with their children's health, and unfortunately our trust has been completely shaken by this experience. If you do bring your child here, double check every label, name, and detail before allowing them to proceed, because clearly the staff does not.

No problems getting an appointment and the staff was friendly and helpful. An EKG was done and reviewed y Dr. B. He said it was a non-functional murmur and no medication was needed. He was personable and very clearly explained the situation. He spoke to my son as if he were his own. My son and I left his office and he told me it is unnecessary for follow up. I very highly recommend Dr. B, if a pediatric cardiologist is needed.

I have been going to the Port Jefferson office for about 6 years, because it was so close. The…read morefirst couple years, all was well and there were a few decent doctors, however in the last 3 years, most of those doctors left and the whole practice became highly unprofessional. I've had to wait to be seen every single time, up to an hour after scheduled appointment time. They rarely run tests beside strep tests to thoroughly check what's wrong with you and don't take the time to talk to you about possible causes, medications, etc. And perhaps even more concerning is that they've tried to pressure me into getting some sort vaccination every single appointment. I've had every required vaccine there is and they still pushed me to get additional ones. Dr. Forletti yelled at my 11 year old sister for refusing an optional vaccination during a physical and Dr. Newshots was rude to me when I simply asked her to run a test. Having such bad experiences with doctors has given me a lot of medical anxiety however we are now at a very good practice that is starting to restore my faith in the medical system. They are more pharmaceutical sales-people than doctors, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

On Monday we went in to see their NP Loretta to follow up from an urgent care visit the Friday before. While at the appointment on Monday we brought up another concern that we had which was left leg pain. We believe that he's having growing pains since he's 4.5 years old and has grown 2 inches since his well visit in May. She immediately shut us down and was dismissive of this stating "He's too young for growing pains." She suggested that we eventually take him for an x-ray if the pain continues and then follow up with an orthopedist as well. This morning, less than 48 hours after being in the office I called to ask for an order to take him to Zwanger for a simple x-ray. I was told that I needed to bring him back into the office which I found to be inappropriate. I took him for an X-ray after another physician (not in their practice) ordered one and stopped in immediately after to sign a records release. While speaking with the office manager who is very nice she told me that nothing about the leg pain was ever documented on Monday. Not only is this inappropriate, but it's negligent and borders on malpractice. Not only did we bring up the issue, but we were counseled by this practitioner on what our next steps may be. To top things off I was told that I'll be charged $.75/page for records excluding vaccination and growth charts.
