One of the outcomes of this localism is that you can't rent boards in the north at least not around Bajamar. The combination of the fact described and a Coast full of rocks and me being super clumsy almost ruined the last days of our Vacation. I tried to enter the Surf Spot near Bajamar walking over the Rocks. Before even entering the water my Board was already smashed. My girlfriend was the best and let me take hers and me being a thankful person of course had to ruin that board when i left the water again! Not much to say more. So we went to the Surfstore "Soul Grind" to ask if they could repair our Board if there is a ding repair somehwere. They said we should walk 100 meter down the main road direction Punta de Hidalgo and Ring at a Door with waves and surf on it. So the place is not really visible as a store or anything. So and there we found Tato. He is a really great guy. Unfortunately he doesn't speak much English or German but we were lucky meeting some German Students fluently in Spanish to help us translate. I didn't mention this all happened on Friday morning and our plane left on Sunday. So our big ask was to get it repaired ASAP so we could still go surfing on Saturday, knowing the Fact you can't rent Boards. BUT there is actually a Loop whole as when you smash your own Board Tato will rent out one of his in the meantime. I actually also think he actually sells Boards and is shaping them, but i am not sure about that. Tato agreed fixing the Board and ask us to come back 24 hours later to pick it up, but wanted a bit more money for our expedited repair. The price was 30 Euros per Board which i thought was totally fair. Comparing with the Price i'd pay in Hamburg i probably had to pay more for it and he really knows his business. 24 hours later we got to fixed Boards, they looked like new. On mine i had a huge whole but you can't see anything at all anymore. I'll upload a picture of the fixed spot when i get my Board in hand next time. Tato saved our holidays! And did i mention he doesn't speak much English? I doesn't actually matter. With my only few words of spanish and his few words english we had a big laugh. He is super funny and nice. All the time in his store we were laughing out loud together. I really enjoyed doing business with him and if you ever go there cuddle his cute dog for us i could write another 5 Star review about the dog...

Lovely experience being able to feed lemurs. You can purchase pelates to feed the monkeys, we found…read morethough that they are not too fond of this though. You are able however to bring your own fruit which the monkeys loved. We brought a few oranges and bananas which they enjoyed. They also have little birds, and some reptiles. On arrival we saw three turtles lying on top of a crocodiles back, never thought I'd see that!

Monkey Park is the best thing on the Island in my opinion and fantastic value for money…read more We got a taxi there which was cheap when we were a good 20 mins away and although the staff didnt have the english skills of people in more central areas and resorts, they were kind polite and helpful and rang a taxi for us to take us back to our resort. Even with the taxi fares, it was still great value for money. Its fantastic value for money and is a safe haven for the animals there. Theres a caged area where you can walk through and feed the monkeys who will come up to you and take food off you. There was a beautiful black panther there when I went and some birds who mimicked you which was a viscious circle really as they made you laugh then they'd copy your laugh - i could have spent the day there with them even though its a fairly small site/attraction. I would definately go back again if I was going to be in Tenerife again. My daughter loved it, as did I.

And I wanted to give a few notes. If you like taking the fitness classes... choose or stay with good looks gym! The classes are far better... and the staff are incredible friendly. At gofit in Malaga, there are lots of classes... but their easy. They don't have dune, and they don't have a proper schedule. The same class is at different times each day making a schedule impossible. Not to mention extremely rude staff! Unless you need to swim (like I do), stay with Good Looks. The classes are advanced... and the staff know you by name. I miss that!

Visited December 15, 2023. About 30min walk from the Lighthouse. Didn't really make it past the…read morefirst few dunes but might have been a good idea. The sand is very fine (nice). That day wind was blowing from a certain direction and depending on which way you are facing, you could be well exfoliated from the sand. It was lovely to be on top of the dune and just lookout at the other dunes. Water was a bit chilly that time of year but people were definitely still bathing around. Beware: clothing optional. It was interesting that signs were trilingual there (Spanish, English & German). In fact, on this island, English was the preferred language.
