A hidden gem in Angelino Heights that you don't want to miss out on. If you can't find parking,…read morethey do have valet, which made it so convenient. The outdoor beer garden offers a lot of seating, shade and some great vibes. A perfect place to bring a bunch of friends to grab some food and enjoy some beer (brewed on the property). We all enjoyed some amazing beers and we ordered quite a few things on the menu to try. Everything was delicious, I was very impressed. Most of the time breweries don't really have the best food, but this one had amazing food! Service was prompt and very friendly. I got a blonde brew and it was so good and refreshing. We ordered: - 3 in a bun - Filet Mignon - breaded pork cutlets - Fennel and Pear Salad All very tasty! I definitely recommend coming by and checking this gem out. Cheers!!

Each bench has a blanket so it helps if you are willing to use it. I am a bit of germaphobe so I couldn't use it. lol My friends and I, all loved the vibe. We ordered many items on the menu but there were only two things we liked; the Mackerel and the Eggplant. Unfortunately the rest of the food was not good at all. Another thing was that none of us got buzzed from the beer. lol Majority of us agreed that the beer was watery but maybe that wasn't a bad thing. hahahaha Again, it's a cute place especially for summer time. And the Mackerel was really really good. I will probably go back for it.

Parking is on street only and can be challenging. Service was excellent, starting with Dylan who waited on us and was helpful, patient, and super friendly, as were the rest of the staff that chipped in throughout our visit. DRINK: Extensive German beer menu, but also cocktails, and non-alcoholic selections. We ordered a bottomless cup of Coffee ($4), a .4L Reissdorf Koelsch ($8.50), stein of Hacker Pschorr Weisse ($19), and a stein of Paulaner Oktoberfest ($19). FOOD: We started by sharing a Sausage Platter ($17) which came with 3 sausages, 3 mustards, and some sliced pickles. For our entrees, we tried the Beef Rouladen ($26) served over mashed potatoes, and the Jäger Schnitzel ($28), served with 2 sides. NOTE: The schnitzel was $5 more than shown on the menu. I asked about their Spaztel which the chef said was one of their specialties. He brought us a small sample, and it was delicious! We finished it off with Apple Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream ($12.50). The flavors were very good, although some of the preparations were a little different than I'm used to. I'm half German and my mother is full, so we think we know German cuisine very well. All in all, it was a great experience and we will definitely be heading back for more!

What a wonderful experience our family had at Kiez Küche & Beer Garden…read more There were nine of us, and we arrived during a World Cup game, so the whole place was buzzing with energy and fun. Our family is German, so we know good German food....and let me just say, they nailed it, my friends. The Jägerschnitzel was the best I've ever had (sorry, Oma). The cucumber salad, red cabbage, appetizers, and beer were all fabulous. And the desserts? Absolutely heavenly. The apple strudel was even better than the one I had at one of the finest restaurants in Berlin, and the bread pudding was a warm ambrosia. I was honestly surprised to see a couple of reviewers taking off stars for the most dumb stuff, because our experience was outstanding from start to finish. The service, the food, the atmosphere...all of it was on point. If you're looking for authentic, delicious German food in a lively, welcoming setting, Kiez Küche & Beer Garden is absolutely worth a visit. Such a memorable meal and experience for our family. We will be back!!!!

This place is always recommended to me on Yelp anytime I try to find places to eat in Little Tokyo…read moreand technically it's in the Arts District, but it's within walking distance. I've had my brother and several friends say that it's good and since we were closer to this area for a pop up event, we dropped by and I finally had a chance to try it. We visited during the final game of the World Cup, so there was no more indoor dining, but there's a couple bench tables outside at the side of the building. Part of the building shades over the seating, so even on a pretty hot day, this worked in a pinch and there was a slight breeze too, thank goodness. Staff was helpful and and answered our questions. They also brought our order out to the tables outside, which was nice. They also took our trash and tray back when we were done too. Each table has ketchup, brown and spicy mustard if need be. Inside, you order and pay at the cashier, grab a number, and they bring it to you. There's a bunch of sausage links on display, as well as the sodas and you can see some of the beer that they have too. For our Sunday lunch, we got the: 1) Sunset Zero soda: -It's an imported German soda. Love that there's a zero sugar version. It's a citrus cola with ending vanilla notes. Way better than some of the orange Pepsi/Pepsi Fire they ran in the past. Nice to try. 2) Rattlesnake & Rabbit with Jalapeno Peppers: -Unique combination of predator and prey meats all encased into one sausage. Also, not often you can get these meats as well. -Slight spicy kick to it from the jalapenos and rich, buttery texture of the meats together. -Each hot dog comes with 2 toppings and we got caramelized onions and sauerkraut with this which added a nice sour and sweet taste to it too. -I liked this the most of the 2 of them. 3) Pheasant with Herbs de Provence: -Nice savory flavor, but I was a fool and ordered this with the sweet and spicy peppers as a topping since they were different from the other toppings we got and I mostly just tasted the bitter aftertaste of the peppers that sort of overpowered the meats. My mistake if anything since the bites with just meat and mustard were delicious. 4) Groot of Belgian Fries: -Huge serving, way too much for 2 people especially with 2 hot dogs and we sadly could not finish it, but at the very least it came with 2 dipping sauces. -Before ordering this, I didn't groot referred to anything other than a Marvel character. -Fries had a rich, deeper flavor than standard fries, nice slight crispiness. We got it with curry ketchup and sundried tomato mayo. The tomato mayo was fine, definitely a lighter flavor and since the fries tasted so rich on their own, I feel like the curry ketchup was a more flavorful and better match. I love a good hot dog, so being able to try it with more exotic meats, flavors, and sauces makes it definitely worth stopping by.

The space has a dark, industrial vibe, and I loved seeing the sausage display when you walk in. We shared the duck & bacon, mango jalapeño, rattlesnake & rabbit, and the Klein. The duck & bacon was easily our favorite. It was juicy and packed with flavor. The mango jalapeño had a nice balance of sweet and savory but I wish it had more heat. The rattlesnake & rabbit was interesting but could've used a little more salt. I also loved the toasted buns, sauerkraut, and caramelized onions. The fries were fluffy inside but I wish they were a little crispier. I also loved their beer selection and they let us sample a few before ordering. If you go definitely get the Kasteel Tropicale!! It was my favorite beer of the night! The service was great and the cashiers gave us awesome recommendations. Overall, I'd definitely come back. It's a fun spot to grab beers and sausages with friends!

I don't otherwise go to sports bars, and Biergarten isn't exactly a sports bar anyway, but it's an extremely happy place for an L.A. World Cup Korea Mexico hugfest experience. I'm a fan of Biergarten in general, too. It's a great place to drink, easy if you're not trying to catch a literal World Cup game, with friendly service and a comfortable, unpretentious K-Town gatsropub atmosphere. The place has been around for a long time, now, as have I, and I appreciate having it in the neighborhood. Food is solid, I just had some of the chicken wings and kalbi poutine as I watched Korea's inglorious defeat and Mexico's rousing victory, and there's plenty of beer and soju on the menu. I think I had my first Delirium Tremens here many years ago, and I spent the other night drinking soju and the house Biergarten lager, a nice, refreshing beer you can order by the pitcher. I always have fun at Biergarten and look forward to my next visit, even if it is in another four years.

What stood apart (and I've lived in München!) is how "light" everything was. Usually, I have to be wheeled out of German restaurants in food coma. Beautiful schnitzel, prefect sides (fresh kraut!) and I loved the Camembert version of the Liptaur that came with the Bretzl, and the horse radish mustard is out of this world. And the Helles?! Wow. I had TWO... which is a miracle on a hot day while eating starchy food. The owners have paid meticulous attention to detail in the design of this place as well. Hours are limited because they can be. Def worth the stop if you love the complex simplicity (I know! But a proper Lager is NOT easy to brew) of an on-point German beer with a beautiful head! Despite being hot, a wondering afternoon was spent in the garden. Highly recommend. Edit: ok one huge pitfall is the payment method. You pay per item you order and it just becomes a massive nightmare if you are paying as a group. Plus the tipping gets out of hand and it's just kind of a pain in the ass to constantly tap your card. I had to take an extra algebra class to figure out what my group owed each other!
