I commented on changes in the store and she responded by mocking my poor memory and continued to make rude comments when I defended myself. I was walking around downtown yesterday after lunch and decided to pop in for a look since I've never been. I've lived downtown for almost 2 years and never been in this place since it's kind of off the beaten path. Also, I think it's important to mention that I chose to shop locally over the holidays and not ONCE did this place pop up during any of my searches for local finds in Boise. Yedterday, right after walking in I was treated rudely by the woman behind the counter. She had a dark short bob haircut and I believe she was wearing glasses. I honestly wasn't going to leave a review until I happened across their Instagram account today. Their post yesterday explained why they as a small business are requiring masks by their patrons, even though there is no mandate, and asked people to #bekind. I think they need to practice what they preach. With our city growing and so many new people coming to the area, you think they'd be kinder and more welcoming. I will NEVER go to this place again, masks or no masks, solely because of their hypocrisy. I don't think they can afford to continue with the bad behavior . The locals can only keep you in business for so long. It's the new people in this growing city that will keep you thriving, but not with their ugliness. Rude service, I walked in with my friend and we both had our masks on, but i guess her mask was crooked? The store owner raised her voice and threatened to to call the police and have us removed if my friend didn't "put her mask on properly" but I swear we didn't realize that her mask was only partially covering her nose! Got off work early to celebrate my wife's birthday, she was excited to drive to Boise to visit this store...she likes hippie stores! Upon entering they rudely told us we would have to leave if we didn't put on masks. My wife had one in her purse, I didn't have one since I have a medical letter from my doctor saying I should not wear one due to health reasons. They said they didn't care and that I would have to leave. Not wanting to ruin my wife's day I agreed to don a mask if they had one. When given one that hooks behind the ears I simply asked if they had a different style because that style yanks my hearing aids off, (they cost over 8000 and have been thrown to the ground when trying to remove masks). They rudely replied that I would need to leave if I didn't put on the mask. I wasn't arguing and never said another word, I had only asked one question. I wasn't going to make a scene and upset my wife. I simply put on the face covering. My wife was extremely upset with their rudeness, and so we left after 5 minutes. She was still upset hours later at dinner. There is no reason these kids working at these stores need to treat people rudely. I guess they simply don't need or want our business. We will never return. We will however suggest a great hippie store pretty close to this one called Eyes Of the World Imports. read more

I was referred by a friend to go to this store. When we entered the store the lady behind the counter was very rude to my husband. This was the first time we had been there and I was really excited. I frequent eye of world imports and was excited to have another place that is similar. I had driven from out of town and it was my birthday. I was very disappointed. I will not be returning to Dragonfly. The staff is rude. They follow you around like you're a thief and watch you even as you walk out of the dressing room. negative vibe and bad energy. Lots of other places to shop in the North end. They do not even have a public restroom for their shoppers. I had to go across the street at the bagel place. That's so rude and inconsiderate of them to their fellow business owners. How hard is it to be nice to your customers? Offshore low quality products. The clerk made me feel terrible for breaking a poor quality bracelet so that I ended up paying so called extremely hight 'their cost' for it!! If you need a unique gift, try Dragonfly. This store has an assortment of random stuff that you likely won't find anywhere else in Boise. Fun clothes for all tastes (hipster, hippie, or funky), with an eclectic jewelry collection as well. All sorts of unique gifts too, particularly their awesome sock collection. Prices aren't exorbitant, but as with everything in downtown Boise these days, not inexpensive. I've been coming to this store for 20+ years and I'll continue to be a regular patron. Customer service is great, too: the cute gal who waited on me was very attentive. She kept offering to get me different sizes as I tried on clothes and was on-the-spot with everything. My husband and I went to this amazing store to find a gift for our sister-in-law and were so happy we did! They have so many options for gift giving. The staff was super helpful and not at all intrusive. I am grateful they have a mask policy, which by the way, is a mandate in the city. This is one of the reasons we are shopping within the city limits. They get in trouble if they don't. I would encourage everyone to support this lovely establishment. It's really funky for us oldish ladies, we found awesome gifts and a great selection of clothing, handmade stuff, cards, jewelry, incense, candles and Idaho gifts and more. I like the items in the store but I do not like the workers following me around making uncomfortable assumptions that customers are stealing. Ladies behind the counter, we can hear you whispering & watching us rudely, just FYI. I have heard this from a lot of people and your rude presumptions do not make my shopping experience delightful. Do you need to ask your customers for a strip search before leaving after paying? If so you should ask for bags at the door. I live in Seattle come to Boise for business. I have been here 3 times the first time service was good then about a month ago had horrible service so thought I would try one more time today. I was in about 330pm got followed around the store like a thief, VERY uncomfortable! The small clerk with dark hair was EXTREMELY rude (same rude clerk as last time) and she was staring down customers? I spend a lot of $$ shopping and expect to be treated with respect -not rudely and like a criminal!! If a person doesn't like their job they should go find something they do like. As far as the products - good selection of women's clothing and jewelry some of the prices are a bit steep compared to similar shops.
