This was my first venture into a maternity store and I have to say I was not very impressed. The…read moresales associate seemed disinterested and did not smile at all. As someone who has worked in customer service for a very long time, I guess I've come to expect a certain level of warmth and hospitality, whether it be food service, retail or professional. She asked me what I was shopping for and I said jeans. She immediately walked over to a nearby rack and started pulling pairs of jeans off and loading me up. I had about six pairs in my arms when she started to lead me to the changing area. It was then that I noticed the price tag on the top pair...$235!!!! She had loaded me up with designer maternity jeans! I stopped in my tracks and said "whoa this is way too much! I wouldn't pay this much for a regular pair of jeans, much less ones I will only be wearing for a couple months!" At this she seemed somewhat annoyed and took the jeans from me and led me to the other side of the store where the jeans were priced between $40-$80. I thought it was incredibly presumptuous to assume that I could afford or that I would even want a $250 pair of jeans. I guess that once she realized I was a "commoner" she was no longer interested in assisting me. I shopped alone and brought items back and forth from the change area without any further interaction from the associates. I did end up getting a decent pair of jeans for about $50, but I won't be returning. It's incredibly rare that a store would leave such a negative impression on me as I'm pretty easy going and generally very understanding, but this one is now a no go in my books.

This is the only store of its kind in Calgary, in Canada for that matter but with a kiosk location at the Chinook Centre. Natalia the store owner got it right last June when she created T-E-T because the store should attract those parents with a global consciousness, a love for design and an appreciation for function. In fact Natalia found the products and furniture in her store by researching what celebrity parents are shopping for. For example T-E-T sells the products from the line "Bloom". Bloom was created by four fathers who just happen to be architects so what you can expect is high quality, furniture and accessories but with sleek design and tons of function. Being four fathers themselves, safety and environmental sustainability are the priorities in the Bloom creative process; every Bloom product exceeds all applicable safety standards and regulations. In fact Bloom products are lead free, phthalate free, PVC free, heavy metal free, and AZO dye free. Wow, I bet you didn't know you would be buying all that in one high chair. Plus the designs of these Bloom products are beautiful but without designer high end pricing. They have on stock these really great sleek rockers and ultra hip high chairs which are one of the first in adapting to the size of your newborns. They have clothing made from soy bean products and an anti-fungi, anti-bacterial foamy tub which is hypo allergenic for newborns that fits into the curvature of any sink. Plus they have a great range of fashionable pregnancy apparel. It was a quiet place, but that ment she just checked up on us a little more. We we're there for 2-3 and did even go through half the store. They have wonderful selection, and sizing. We did see some things that were XS-M, but mostly L-XL. (There were a few larger things.) The prices are such a deal! With was seems to be 1/2 -3/4 off the original price. The also have some hats, a lot of purses, and tons of shoes.
