The one and only picture of us on their fridge is from 2007. So, my husband and I decided that we might as well get pictures taken, so we can give a few to my parents, too. I mean, after awhile, it's like what do you give your parents for Christmas? Ours have everything they need. We decided we should get some for ourselves while we're at it. I contacted McKay Photography, mainly because we have known them for a long time and respect their work. We were able to schedule a time to meet one evening and it was nice enough to take pictures outside. This was a casual session, since we do know them and also because these were not formal pictures being done. And, we had two unruly dogs with us! We couldn't have been more pleased with the results and the price. I asked to have some pictures printed, which they did for us, as well as giving us a CD with all of the pictures on them. I am familiar with McKay Photography's work and prices. They are very reasonable, accommodating, and professional. They mostly do weddings, engagement photos, senior pictures, etc. But they were willing to take the time to do a short session for us, just so we have some new pics for the 'rents. Highly recommend! Side Note: I was unable to upload any pictures to yelp, because it said the file was too big. I will see what I can do.

We planned to use mostly the pictures from the flash drives we ordered but after many calls and one email we have yet to receive these paid for devices. Our pictures are posted so we may order from her web site so I can only believe that she is hanging on to the flash drives in hopes we will order more expensive pictures from her. She verbally told us everything in our package; the time her and her assistant would be there, the group photos we wanted taken, the high quality prints included in our package, the USB flash drive, and online gallery. At our wedding, the assistant left early. It took months after the wedding to get my "sneak peak" photos she offers, and weeks upon weeks after that our online gallery was up. She has yet to fulfill her obligations in our contract. We have never received the flash drive, which she claims to have mailed twice and refuses to reply to my emails asking for a tracking number. We have yet to be able to order our high quality prints in the sizes and amount to come with our package per our contract. It has now been almost 9 1/2 months that we have given this company to simply honor the package we bought.

My husband Matt and I spent a lot of time online reviewing photographers' websites and grew frustrated as we couldn't find anything that we liked. Many of them had a stuffy, dated look to them. Dan was referred to us through a family member, and as soon as we looked at the photos on his site we instantly knew that we wanted to work with him. His photos are modern yet classic, and truly capture the joy, beauty and intimacy of a wedding day. When we had a phone call with Dan, and then met him in person for our engagement shoot, our expectations were exceeded again. He is very helpful and responsive with calls and emails, and incredibly friendly, down-to-earth and fun to be around. Spending the afternoon around NYC during our engagement shoot felt like hanging out with an old friend, even though we had just met. Dan had the same ease with our family and wedding party during our wedding day, and we didn't even find out until nearly the end of the evening that he had a very high temperature and was sick all day! The sweet spot of competence, character, passion and raw talent intersect in his photography.
