I can't say enough GREAT things about the Chino Hills Drawn2Art studio.I've had 2 kiddos happily enrolled in art classes for almost 6 years now. My 10 1/2 year old daughter has being taking classes and camps, since she was 5 and my 7 year old son, since he was 5. The art instructors are incredibly gifted and clearly enjoy what they do...and it shows! Throughout the years the teachers have become like family. It's been such an amazing "extracurricular" activity for my kids and I can't rave enough. Not only are my kids being taught "fine art" skills, they are being taught in a caring and creative atmosphere. Taking classes at the studio has improved my kids focus and concentration and has bolstered their creativity in new and fun ways. Ms. Tatiana, Miss. Paola, Miss. Savanna, Miss. Kayla and Miss. Kristina have ALL been such an important part of my kid's lives. Ms. Kristina in particular, has worked with my kids the longest, having taught both my kids before her new role as Art Director. Ms. Kristina is truly a GEM!!! She has a heart of gold and an artistic talent that she enjoys sharing with her students. She has done an incredible job encouraging and expanding on her students natural artistic abilities, while nurturing them in a positive learning environment. UPDATE: I reached out to the director, Kim, to explain the situation and she was very gracious, apologetic and understanding. She immediately rectified the situation and granted me a refund. Kristina also called to personally apologize. I appreciate how quickly this was handled and as a result, my daughter will be continuing her class here. -- I just had the most unpleasant interaction with Kristina Halcromb, the studio manager. She mistakenly told me a date for my daughter's last Saturday class before needing to shift her over to another day due to a staff shortage. I didn't even make a fuss and was understanding, even after having a difficult time rescheduling any of our make up classes over the last month or so due to staffing issues. When we arrived we were told class that last Saturday class had been cancelled (a few other parents were unaware as well). I went to ask for a refund in person the following week as emails with her have been painful to get an actual answer and she seemed to not even properly read them. She was immediately rude and didn't take responsibility for her mistake. I'm not even sure if she comprehended to be honest as she was referring to inaccurate information with a fake, condescending smile plastered on her face the entire time. So I asked for a refund as we are up to 3 make ups (going on 4 with the 7/4 holiday) with not many suitable options to reschedule due to the staff shortage. She said they don't give refunds. Even if a makeup was caused by your own mistake? This makes no sense. I was told last week by an employee that they would allow me to receive a refund. I was also told many parents are dropping their kids out, and I now see why. If you're going to have staffing issues that impact the experience of your customers, at least have the decency to have some flexibility in you policies to make up for the inconvenience. read more

I am giving 1 star because of how rude and unprofessional the studio manager, Kristina Halcromb is. My daughter started with this center on April 7th and hasn't missed any of her weekly sessions until last Wednesday, June 14th, when I have a health emergency arise a couple hours before we were supposed to go. I called the studio numerous times, unable to reach anyone nor can you leave a voicemail because the mailbox is full. I sent an email with what happened and requested a make up day. I tried calling again the next day, same thing, no answer and can't leave a voicemail. I received an email from Kristina on June 16th where I could only read the first part of the unopened email, stating "Hello, I sincerely apologize, however as there is t..." because when I went to open the email it showed no email, simply a signature line. I responded stating I could not read the email and I would like a call to go over. I received a call later that day from Kristina who was immediately snappy, stating "you asked for a call?" I asked for a make up date due to the emergency where she denied it stating there are no makeup classes no matter what as it is against company policy. I stated that's not fair especially when the price is steep/paid for, you can't get a hold of anyone nor leave a voicemail and their emails don't work. Her answer what that it's a gmail issue that they cannot fix. So unprofessional especially for $160 per month!!! Let's add how she got really huffy and told me she will cancel my daughters sessions for next month. I'm sure they'll lost business with her as the manager very quickly! read more

KidsArt Chino Hills is wonderful! My oldest daughter has been going to KidsArt for 4 years, my middle daughter for about 2 years and they love it. The art they create not only helps them hone in on their skills but gives them confidence to be creative and try new things outside of art class. The teachers are great, my kids love to tell me conversations they've had and stories from art class.. the teachers truly care about each student. I was referred to this studio from my son's Junior Kindergarten teacher, recommending I look into it for my 5 year old son as he enjoys art. We did the free introductory class, and was very glad that the studio was taking several COVID-19 precautions such as mandatory masks for the students, temperatures being taken before entering the studio, etc. My son enjoyed the class very much and we signed up for two of the summer camps. I am so relieved my son is able to tap into his creativity and gain confidence this summer, given how hard COVID-19 has disrupted all of our lives! I cannot recommended this studio enough. I have to give this place 5 stars. It's not just that they will have your kids making cool pictures out of chalk, pencils, markers (or whatever the heck they use) the first day. Its not that the staff is nice, not pushy, and not pressuring you into a year long contract. My 7 year old started taking classes here last year. She loves it!! I love that she's learning different techniques and is using a variety of supplies. My daughter has been attending KidsArt in Chino Hills for two years now. She loves it and looks forward to her weekly class and has taken special weekend classes as well. As a parent, I treasure all of her artwork and can really see her progress over the months. She is so proud to show off her artwork at quarterly art shows. We have taken many of her pieces and have made them into holiday gifts too. Besides the art skills she is learning, I can't say enough good things about the staff. My daughter has been going to KidsArt since she just turned 3 and she loves it. I believe at 3-6 years old class it's not really to create a Picasso but to build a strong innate foundation about art. We may not notice it from each piece they bring home but be reassured that they will take one more lesson home each time they attend the class. My Children have attended Drawn2Art now for 2 years. Not only is it the the highlight of their week, they are inspired to draw at home. I give this place 3 stars because as someone who has attended KidsArt for a few years, when it first opened, I felt that the place was totally worth the money because I was able to really express myself through my passion. Yes, they have helped me realize how much of a fanatic I am about art; however, I feel that this "art institute" is only good for those who are already great at drawing/painting, if not, then there's no point in enrolling your children in classes here. The Chino Hills studio opened about ten years ago with younger teachers who could relate to the students and really helped them get started on the pictures. The teachers then only helped the students when they really needed the help, otherwise they would let the students create the picture how they see it on the paper. NOW, the teachers simply walk around the class and just do the pictures for them. Of course, as a five year old child how are your kids going to know where the next line goes? Yes, the teachers are there to ASSIST your children, but in most cases, the final products that go home are never really done by your child. The teacher outlines the steps and all the kids do is TRACE over the lines. Now that's not TEACHING your children how to draw, that's just teaching them how to trace, and as the parent you're PAYING this place over $100 to teach your child how to trace which I think is not worth the money at all. As much as the teachers say that they give your child the attention they need in each class, they don't. The only two teachers working for a class walk around the classroom attending to each student only for a mere 5-10 minutes each round they walk. Is that fair? You tell me. You're only taking your child for a class once a week for 4 weeks in a month and you're paying over $100 for each month. The teachers are not pushy, but they do the work for the children. You could definitely find a more reasonable tutor to help your child find their passion for art, or KidsArt can begin by lowering the costs to what it originally amounted with and hire the teachers that can relate to these kids, or teachers that enjoy going to work here everyday. read more

I love KidsArt! My 10 y/o daughter has taken this class for about 9 months. She was excited about it after the first day. The staff here is excellent. Each worker helps the student turn out a beautiful project. Here is how the class works: the student gets a picture to duplicate from a level 1 book. I don't know the terminology but they work up the levels doing different types of art for each level. The first day my daughter came out with a beautiful picture drawn of a horse. Now I know she didn't do it herself. My daughter started it and then they help her fix it and adjust it as she continued to draw explaining the fixes and turned out this beautiful picture. Since then my daughter has turned out many beautiful pictures each one as she progresses needs less help. She is being taught how to draw, shade, show depth all the while she is getting to turn out these pictures that is something she can be proud of. She knows she is improving and tells me because of her needing less to little or no help. She is taking the class with a friend who is a high school student. She, who was only taking this class for her art class, loves this class also. They both have grown and improved. If you want your child to be a rembrandt or not, this is the class for you. They will really appreciate the enjoyment of the art class. One more thing, when i have emailed for a question, I always get a response back from the manager. Tatiana is great. They also had a art show where the kids displayed their artwork. This experience for my daughter was better than I expected. I highly recommend this business. read more
