Last year we joined CN in Ontario (which I hear is closed now) and had thee worst experience there. Don't want to bore you with details, so just read their reviews. Sadly, I wasn't the only one. I felt sorry for my sons because they loved it and wanted to continue their coding journey, but didn't want to do it online. So I SOS'd the Chino Hills location and spoke with Randy, the Director, who was awesome. He was attentive, responsive, detailed and reassured me we'd be in good hands. He was right! They welcomed my 2 boys (8 and 10) with open arms, seamlessly picking up where we left off, even though there was a curriculum transition. 6-7 months in, and they still continue to give my boys all the proactive attention needed to succeed. According to my boys, the environment is really fun and the staff is very helpful. I'm ok to drive from Eastvale and go here because it's a breath of fresh air to know they are learning something valuable in today's modern technology. Overall, the place is clean and welcoming. I highly recommend coding in person here at Code Ninjas Chino Hills, even if it's for one of their boot camps. My boys recently did the 3D printing and have done a Minecraft coding one before. Next, is the AI camp! There's plenty to choose from. Online just isn't the same when you have tactile attention from such a knowledgeable crew of Sensei's (Randy and Sebastian are their faves). It's also cool to watch them progress with performance markers that are introduced starting with white belt all the way to black belt. So if your kid is a beginner, don't be intimidated. It will take time, but these short term goals will definitively have long term benefits in the end.

Over the years, none of my concerns were addressed by management. This includes the placement of a candy box in reception that kids can purchase unhealthy snacks from before and after class. In this day and age, it serves no purpose except so this company can generate additional income and to promote obesity among children. I also asked that my daughter be provided the recital trophy which I had paid for and which she never received. We never saw the trophy. After Covid, classes became online which was not a good fit for my child. I asked for in person classes and she tried 2 different instructors who she barely understand as English was not their first language. As a parent, It was awful sitting through the classes, watching these teachers lack of any warmth, rapport, or sort of engagement with my child. And even worse, my child did what the asked of her and when she asked a question, the teacher flat out dismissed her. My child hated piano and music after working with these instructors for a month, and she had been playing for 3 years. I reached out to management twice and my concerns regarding these instructors were never addressed. I was told the director is out of the country. Grace the manger was useless. Melissa in the office was also not helpful. I am so incredibly disappointed in Yamaha. This market is too competitive to deal with Yamaha--save your money and go else where--Music is really meant to be joyous.

The space is very new, clean, and has many classrooms, including a dance studio, art studio, music room, and plenty of space and materials for kids to learn, do homework, or take extracurricular activities. Emily and her team of educators are very caring and attentive to each student. They help with school homework and offer a huge selection of classes and activities each day, including Chinese, English, math, dance, and art. Emily is very flexible about the times that my son attends and is incredibly accommodating about which classes he takes. They keep the classes purposefully small to ensure individualized attention and safety during COVID times, and they offer transportation from nearby schools. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of care, education, and attention given to each student. I can't rave enough of about this place and I can't wait to see this center grow! (P.S. I remember when I first signed my sons up for EWB summer session, I chose part-time since my youngest was only 7 years old, but after the first day, we went to full time. We had been struggling to find a daycare that would accept and…read moresupport our son, who has speech and developmental delays, so we were hopeful that we had finally found a place where he would be cared for with patience and understanding. Unfortunately, our experience left us extremely disappointed and concerned. I happened to be watching the classroom livestream when I witnessed two separate physical interactions between Ms. Morgan and my son. During the first incident, my son had put a bucket on his head that he was not supposed to be wearing. Rather than speaking to him or asking him to give it to her, Ms. Morgan came behind him and snatched it away without any verbal warning. My son cannot speak well but he understands simple directions and will hand something over when asked. About 30 minutes later, Ms. Morgan lifted my son out of a chair and then pushed him away with enough force that he had to take a step forward to catch himself. What was just as upsetting as witnessing these incidents was the response from the director, Ms. Pam. After reviewing what happened, the blame was placed on our developmentally and speech-delayed child rather than the adult in the situation. We did not receive the remorse, accountability, or reassurance we expected from someone we trusted with caring for our child. What was most odd was that when we expressed how upset we were, the response seemed to change only after we mentioned leaving a review. We were told that we "didn't need to go that far." As parents, our priority was never a review-- it was how our child was treated and how our concerns were handled afterward. Children with developmental and communication delays require additional patience, redirection, and understanding. They should never be treated as though their disability excuses an adult handling them in a way that is concerning. I am incredibly grateful that I happened to be watching the livestream and saw these interactions myself. Based on what we witnessed and the way our concerns were handled afterward, we do not trust this daycare with our son. For parents ,especially parents of children who are nonverbal, speech delayed, or unable to tell you what happens during their day, pay close attention and advocate for your child when something doesn't feel right.
