Over the years, none of my concerns were addressed by management. This includes the placement of a candy box in reception that kids can purchase unhealthy snacks from before and after class. In this day and age, it serves no purpose except so this company can generate additional income and to promote obesity among children. I also asked that my daughter be provided the recital trophy which I had paid for and which she never received. We never saw the trophy. After Covid, classes became online which was not a good fit for my child. I asked for in person classes and she tried 2 different instructors who she barely understand as English was not their first language. As a parent, It was awful sitting through the classes, watching these teachers lack of any warmth, rapport, or sort of engagement with my child. And even worse, my child did what the asked of her and when she asked a question, the teacher flat out dismissed her. My child hated piano and music after working with these instructors for a month, and she had been playing for 3 years. I reached out to management twice and my concerns regarding these instructors were never addressed. I was told the director is out of the country. Grace the manger was useless. Melissa in the office was also not helpful. I am so incredibly disappointed in Yamaha. This market is too competitive to deal with Yamaha--save your money and go else where--Music is really meant to be joyous.

The instructors are highly trained and give clear explanations and very helpful feedback, which really accelerates progress. My child's artistic skills have improved dramatically since joining. Only for him to tell me he had been hit in the face and kicked in the face. When I picked up my son, I said bye and thank you to the instructor, did he tell me about the incident, NOPE. I only found out as my son and I got in the car. Upset and disheartened I went back in the classroom. I spoke to the instructor, he acknowledged hearing my son say, "You kicked me," and said the other child apologized. An apology between two 7 yo does not replace safety. I understand that children sometimes misbehave and that an instructor cannot prevent every single incident. What I do expect is adequate supervision. the instructor could have separated my son with the other kid but he didn't. He told the other kid to say "sorry" and continued to let my son be bullied. For a one week $250 program, I expected much better supervision, communication, and procedures for handling physical incidents between children. Do these instructors have any credentials to be around kids? Training? Doesn't seem like it. The director didn't seem to care at all about my concern at all. But he did defend his staff, of course. She made many great friends, learned a lot, and has always done well in school. Besides helping students with their homework, Iducation also offers many enrichment classes. What I appreciate the most is that whenever my child had any learning or personal challenges, the staff always listened carefully, communicated with us, and worked hard to find the best solution. I know they have many students and can't meet every request perfectly, but you can truly see that they care and do their best. Over the past six years, my daughter has grown not only academically but also socially and personally. As a parent, that's exactly what I hoped for when choosing an after-school program. I can't compare Iducation with other after-school programs because we've never felt the need to look elsewhere. My daughter has been happy here, and she has grown into a confident and kind student. We had been struggling to find a daycare that would accept and…read moresupport our son, who has speech and developmental delays, so we were hopeful that we had finally found a place where he would be cared for with patience and understanding. Unfortunately, our experience left us extremely disappointed and concerned. I happened to be watching the classroom livestream when I witnessed two separate physical interactions between Ms. Morgan and my son. During the first incident, my son had put a bucket on his head that he was not supposed to be wearing. Rather than speaking to him or asking him to give it to her, Ms. Morgan came behind him and snatched it away without any verbal warning. My son cannot speak well but he understands simple directions and will hand something over when asked. About 30 minutes later, Ms. Morgan lifted my son out of a chair and then pushed him away with enough force that he had to take a step forward to catch himself. What was just as upsetting as witnessing these incidents was the response from the director, Ms. Pam. After reviewing what happened, the blame was placed on our developmentally and speech-delayed child rather than the adult in the situation. We did not receive the remorse, accountability, or reassurance we expected from someone we trusted with caring for our child. What was most odd was that when we expressed how upset we were, the response seemed to change only after we mentioned leaving a review. We were told that we "didn't need to go that far." As parents, our priority was never a review-- it was how our child was treated and how our concerns were handled afterward. Children with developmental and communication delays require additional patience, redirection, and understanding. They should never be treated as though their disability excuses an adult handling them in a way that is concerning. I am incredibly grateful that I happened to be watching the livestream and saw these interactions myself. Based on what we witnessed and the way our concerns were handled afterward, we do not trust this daycare with our son. For parents ,especially parents of children who are nonverbal, speech delayed, or unable to tell you what happens during their day, pay close attention and advocate for your child when something doesn't feel right.

I truly applaud the preschool teachers--especially those in Room 3B--for being patient, reasonable, and communicative. My son absolutely loved having Ms. Morgan and Ms. Adele as his teachers. Ms. Pam and Ms. Lydia were also consistently welcoming and helpful. My son would almost hug Ms. Pam every day before we left Kiddie Academy, which speaks volumes about the caring environment they've created. Although my son is moving on to TK within the school district, we will miss Kiddie Academy dearly.
