Our family absolutely loves this art studio! Our three kids have been taking classes here for the past two years, and what started as something just for them quickly turned into something for all of us. We loved the experience so much that my husband and I decided to start taking classes too--and it's been one of the best decisions we've made. I definitely did not come into the classes feeling like an artist but have gained confidence and skills. One of the things that stands out most is the incredible team of teachers. We've worked with several of them, and every single one is extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and talented at making art accessible for any level. Whether teaching kids or adults, they have a unique ability to meet you where you are and help you grow. As a family, we've explored so many different mediums--colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolors, acrylics--and we're excited to be starting oil painting soon. It's been amazing to not only try new techniques but to see real improvement in our skills over time. Sara, the studio owner, has been especially wonderful. She's incredibly generous with her time and has worked closely with us as adults to create a personalized plan aligned with our goal of making artwork for our home. That level of care and attention is truly special. Another highlight is the art shows they host, which give students the chance to showcase their work. It's such a fun and encouraging environment where you can meet other artists and celebrate everyone's creativity. We feel so lucky to have found this studio. My kids have been taking art classes here for about 8 years now. They absolutely love it. Teachers are nice, very attentive, patient and really let kids grow at their own pace while providing skills needed to do that. Taking art definitely helps my kids with school work as well, including assignments and projects. Sara, the studio manager is the kindest, sweetest person. My 6 (almost 7) YO LOVES her online drawing classes with Ms. Emma here! We live in Michigan and started doing the virtual classes this past May during the COVID shut downs and I'm so happy we started. My daughter has made huge improvements in her drawing and coloring and best of all she wants to keep doing it. She cried one week we had to miss because was so sad to miss her lesson. Getting in to the virtual classes is easy and directions are clear ahead of time to prepare. The feedback from Ms. Emma is kind and helpful. One of the things I work on with my daughter is growth mindset and that you should always seek feedback and improve and this process of improvement is so important. At the end of her lesson each week she proudly runs to me and shows me her work with a big smile. She absolutely loved her art class and her teachers! She particularly loved Mr. Joey and Sara Montgomery. She spent more time with Teacher Sara and my daughter always felt respected and comfortable with her. She learned so much with her and was able to create beautiful pieces of art! But I'm not going to lie, even though my daughter loved the art projects, she enjoyed the company of these great teachers Just as much! I called it a haven because it was a perfect time for her to unwind from school and just get her creative juices flowing. It was her special art time where she would put everything aside and focus on fun and challenging projects. Sadly we have moved far away from this Drawn2Art or any of their other studios, and my daughter no longer attends. This is the worst place you can take your kids to . I took my son their to learn how to draw and it was the worst experience I have ever had !! Let's begin like this they charge ONE DOLLAR for every min you are late ! Also when kids are done with class parents are suppose to go in and SARA and her ASSISTANT ( this guy I fergot his name ) will show the pictures of what the kids drew every single class my son had and he had 4 classes they would not show his picture ! So every child picture they would raise it up and everyone would clap when it comes to my son never had it been up and my son draws beautiful !!! I feel like my my son was discriminated and never again will I send him their again !!! I really don't recommend anyone to take their kids their trust me !!! read more

I am the owner of the Fastframe on the front side (Ventura) of the building where KidsArt is. Let me just tell you that not only are Sara and her team great neighbors but they're great people too! I don't have any children myself that go to KidsArt but I have referred many parents with children to them and have never once gotten any negative feedback regarding their classes or services. The instructors have been caring and sympathetic to the ongoing struggles of our limited parking lot, which I am appreciate of! After most classes I can hear children and instructors alike singing messages of safety and inspiration. Often times it brings a smile to my face hearing how art can bond young children together in a world where it seems increasingly difficult to connect with others. If I had young children I would definitely sign them up to take and participate in their seemingly free-spirited classes. read more

About a year-and-a-half ago I was outside looking at their brochures when Sarah came out and politely asked me asked me if I had any questions. I asked her numerous questions and she took her time in answering them. I was impressed with her demeanor and knew that at some point (soon) I wanted my son taking classes there. About 1 year later I returned and Sarah came out again to greet me and we talked. I had a unique situation and she was willing to work with me. My son has been going there for about nine months and likes his teachers and wants to go to art class!! He used to say that he is horrible at art but does not say this any longer. Our kids (6-year-old boy and 9-year-old girl) have been doing art at Drawn2Art for over a year. It is the one thing that they have always loved (unlike baseball, dance, piano, etc.). Due to the recent coronavirus outbreak, they have switched to online classes. We were skeptical that they would be good, but kept the kids enrolled to support the organization. Surprisingly, the kids still really love the classes, and in some ways they are even more valuable as they usually get so little interaction with others because they are stuck at home.
