Not only did the staff handle everything, but they were so hands on with the kids that the parents actually got time to talk to each other while their kids had fun creating new works of art. We had plenty of room for everyone and enjoyed the standard 2 hour party which left plenty of time for food, crafts, pinata and cake. My son is still talking about his party at Froggy's and how much fun he had. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to have a party for kids of all ages.

Post graduation (and six figure student load debt) she still can't draw hands. But this place had me off and running in the first two weeks. The teachers were divine. Especially Tim. Not just as artists who truly believed in the methods they learned here and taught, but as human beings who appeared to take individual interest in every student, young or old. Years later, I still look back on these classes with fondness and am considering taking them again along with a new friend who wants to learn basic drawing skills, and maybe even progress to painting. If you stick with the curriculum, you will learn. Practice, and you might be shocked at how quickly you progress. Our class was a short walk from a coffee shop, and quickly became a little group who all looked forward to every class. I miss that enough I am thinking of going back. I felt like I was "getting" the material taught here after about two weeks, but I recommend the Free Class to see if it's for you, and if you like it, at least 4 weeks after that to really have a feel for it. At least that's what it took for me. But after that, I was all in. Like any skill worth having, it takes patience and practice over time. But it's totally worth it! People who can manage to respect class schedules, practice self-discipline and are eager to learn will enjoy this stimulating environment, the teaching methods, the skilled staff, and most likely take joy in their progress over time. Maybe even make new friends here. Maybe even fall in love with it. But entitled parents or choosing beggars who want refunds on FREE classes will probably not enjoy the full benefits or learning experience as they appear to have difficulty getting along with just about everyone based their other reviews. Consider the source before you let it dampen your own enthusiasm for the chance to take pride in your art or that of your child.

We have worked with Ms. Bryce and under her marvelous instruction my child is now painting masterpieces in advanced oils. My child enjoys the supportive instruction and the ability to chat with new friends who share a common interest in art. The studio is flexible in offering make up classes and different days and times to fit into my child's schedule. The individual attention my kid gets really helps her improve her skills and knowledge. It's always been rewarding to see my child progress from basic drawings to watercolors and now oils. As an example, the images attached show a before/after of a painting I did. The assignment was a self-portrait. This was my first time painting a portrait, and I was having significant trouble. After several hours of trying, and failing at home, I decided to wait until the next time I had class. When I got to class and asked for help, within fifteen minutes--literally--Melanie taught me the applicable knowledge, and some great advice that allowed me to immediately improve the painting to a satisfying outcome. Anybody interested in art is guaranteed to benefit from her classes. Her energetic passion for art is contagious. It is also very clear that she understands, and has the solution to many problems that an artist may face. She has an equal amount of patience and understanding for the beginner student as she does for her most advanced. She is very professional, yet has a genuine humility that creates an excellent learning environment. The knowledge and experience that I have gained through Melanie's classes have been priceless. I am heartbroken by my experience with Tova's Pottery Party…read more My 18-year-old mini-Maltese passed away last year, and one of my most treasured keepsakes was a clay paw print made before his passing. Looking for someone to apply a protective coating, my boyfriend and I contacted Tova after seeing positive Yelp reviews. Although I was unsure about the clay's composition, Tova assured me she could handle it using a low-heat process. When I dropped it off, I explained how important this memorial was to me. Tova was kind and promised to take good care of it. However, when we followed up a week later, she informed us that the paw print had melted and broken into three pieces. When I finally reached her by phone, she claimed I had asked her to "fire" the piece, which I never did, and suggested the paw print might not even be made of clay. After I confirmed with the original company that it was clay, she told me to take the issue up with them. I only wanted to understand what happened. What hurt most was her response afterward. She asked me to bring my dog back to make another paw print, apparently forgetting that Bubu had passed away. She became defensive, dismissed my concerns, and ended the call abruptly. Fearing the damaged paw print might be discarded, I arranged to pick it up immediately. Instead of meeting us, she left the melted remains on her porch for my boyfriend to collect. There was no apology, refund, or acknowledgment of the significance of what had been lost. Tova was rude and irresponsible, which is totally unacceptable. If Tova lacked the expertise to work with the piece, I wish she had been honest from the beginning rather than risking something irreplaceable. Because of this experience, a precious memorial of my beloved dog is gone forever. I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before trusting this business with sentimental or irreplaceable items.
