From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by a gentleman who, despite being busy with deliveries, took the time to guide me to a sales representative. There were a couple of people ready to assist, but I decided to work with Graciela. She was amazing! I came in with my pre-school level drawing, some rough measurements, and pictures, and she kindly helped turn my ideas into a professional cabinet design. Graciela was super friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the process. Since I was in a rush to beat traffic, she offered to text and email me the quotes, which I really appreciated. The prices were reasonable, and the selection they offer is impressive. I'm very happy with my experience and will definitely be coming back to complete my project. Thanks again.

The prices here looked promising, but the customer service really took away from the experience. The lady helping us seemed uninterested in assisting us. Whenever I had a question, her answers were very short and didn't make us feel like she was interested in helping. Eventually, I stopped asking questions because it was clear she wasn't really in the mood to provide good customer service. It was disappointing because it kind of killed the excitement and vibe we had going into the process of planning our new kitchen.

But I already had gone through 3 estimate and put down 1 deposit for a fiberglass tub to be installed the day George had called me and I was about ready to have the bathroom get started on. With what George was telling me regarding fiberglass and how it doesn't last and I liked what I heard about investing in my home with quality products and not continually putting in cheap products like my parents always did. I do like to make sure my money is spent on quality material if I am made aware of it. George sure taught and made me more knowledgeable on the bathroom tubs needing to be steel vs fiberglass. I do intend on living in my home for as long as I can. It only took George and his crew 3 full days non stop they are hard working men and I got to say I am just soooo satisfied that my family members who see the bathroom think they are coming into a hotel! Thank you George and Empire Kitchen! I have asked George to help me also with the garbage disposal and electrical outlets all pubs the house and other bathrooms and he gets right to them when he has the chance and fixes them within a few minutes. It's like he's got a magic wand that simply fixes whatever your problem is in your home. Don't even bother asking if he charges an arm n a leg because he gives you a price and that is the price. He doesn't up sell or try to make an extra dime so please don't try to negotiate or think he is the type of rip off contractor that many others are out there.

After getting a few quotes, we decided to go with SoCal Woodworks, and I'm so glad we did. James and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with: professional, punctual, courteous, and always respectful of our home. James patiently addressed all of our questions and offered thoughtful, expert guidance, especially when we found ourselves wavering over details (who knew choosing the perfect shade of blue could take 20 minutes?). The craftsmanship and attention to detail were truly exceptional. The final result is stunning, and I'm already looking forward to working with them on future projects.

I originally hired James about 8 years ago when we first purchased our builder-grade home. He extended our kitchen cabinets, added crown molding, and completed additional wood trim and detail work. They did an amazing job, and James was wonderful to work with. Because of that experience, when we recently had a horrible leak that required us to replace our entire kitchen island, pantry, and flooring, along with a few upgrades I had been wanting to do, James was one of the first people I reached out to. His wife was incredibly nice, accommodating, and understanding of our situation. James came out the following Saturday, took measurements, and spent time discussing the repairs and upgrades I wanted done. Then--nothing. I was completely ghosted. If he was too busy to take on the project, I would have completely understood. If the project was too small or simply wasn't something he wanted to take on, that's okay too. But after being a returning customer and taking the time to have him come out, measure everything, and discuss the project, I feel like I at least deserved the courtesy of a response. I called James directly and left a voicemail with no response. His wife had also confirmed my email address before he came out, so there were multiple ways to simply let me know they weren't interested or available. It's really unfortunate because I reached back out specifically because of the great experience we had with James 8 years ago. I would have happily continued recommending So Cal Woodwork to family and friends. Unfortunately, after being treated this way as a returning customer, I can no longer recommend them. Such a disappointing ending to what had previously been a very positive experience.
