October 2023 is the date of my review. I noticed that most of these YELP reviews are older and do not reflect the wonderful individuals who currently own and work at Dream Nails. They have lots of positive reviews on Google as well. I moved to KC from CO a year ago and did my due diligence in researching and going to other salons. The people that own and work here are wonderful and kind and very talented. They accommodate everyone and do a very nice job. The salon is clean and they offer a wide variety of nail polish colors and services. They do beautiful nail art too! The pedicure is the best I have ever had. I love going here and look forward to my appointments. You won't find any drama and the prices are fair and competitive and better than most salons. I always go for a manicure (acrylics/gel) and a pedicure and am in and out of there very quickly each time. Love this salon!! read more

I went for a regular polish pedicure yesterday, and had the best foot, leg massage of my life, ha. And the polish job was good, and not uneven and sloppy (as has happened at other local places). My only complaint is that most of the polish colors seemed to be old, so I found it hard to pick a color. Maybe next time I will take my own polish. The BEST service and care of customers I've experienced in the KC area. I will be a loyal customer forever! I always get a regular polish pedicure. At other salons I've felt rushed and left with poor quality paint jobs since it wasn't gel or something else more expensive. Here, I leave with beautiful nails and well taken care of feet. I went with a friend to get our nails done and both of us are disappointed the day after. She kept telling me that she was going to tidy things up, she really didn't. My nails are very uneven and chunky and rather than having a natural nail slope look some look like they are lifting of my nail bed. My friends nails chipped the next day and had the same uneven issue as well as having some of the paint peel. read more

This is a brother - sister / husband - wife trio who operate this salon, and between full service pedicures and manicures, my girlfriend and I have used all three of them on multiple occasions, and found them to be extremely friendly, professional, caring and good in what they do. Yes, it is true if you go in at times like Saturday afternoons, they can get extremely busy but apparently people like their service and product. I went in to get a pedicure a few months back. (I just saw that my review was never published). When he finished painting my toenails I noticed my polish turned out lumpy and my toenail was trimmed unevenly. When I expressed my concern the guy blamed it on the polish and the lady who I am assuming was the manager made a big scene and told me that I still had to pay for the pedicure. Even though I asked if someone else could redo my polish. I was told "that's not fair", that I wasted their time and I should go somewhere else. I couldn't believe I was treated so rudely and they expected me to pay for lumpy polish and furthermore didn't care about my concern or correcting the problem. I definitely will not be returning, they are very rude and unprofessional. There are plenty of other nail salons to choose from that will treat you with respect and make sure you are happy with your service. read more

2nd Update 6/12/18- my normal had no room so again no choice but to return here again in hopes of a better experience. No luck. The people are still rude and they cut corners trying to rush you out. Not totally sure why as I was the only person there at 5pm. Which is a busy time. Never trying this place again. In the future I will simply go without if another place cannot get me in. The salon itself was dirty as well. Not sure if that was the case before as I cannot recall but it was today. Definitely don't waste your money. I bet they are closed within a year. From the moment I walked in the employees were rude. I said I had a time frame and if they weren't able to keep it that was ok and I could go somewhere else. It was a hour and 15 mins for both a mani and pedi. The short guy who did my Pedi was very short with me. His remarks to me saying the cuts on my toe nails were a little off were that he never cuts crooked. He was offended. I just wanted them straight, not too much to ask. My nails were a mess since he was rushing like crazy. The prices aren't as advertised when you walk in so don't be fooled. The lady doing my mani was rude and rough. I almost felt like I was an annoyance. She pretended not to understand English when it was convenient for her. I was nicer than I typically am to costumer service employees who get rude with me so nothing I did promoted their actions. The salon is old school very old school decorated and the equipment desperately needs replacing! Very run down. I'm disappointed as its close to me and location is important. I will never go there again and I will tell everyone I know not too. It stinks Bc I'm a good tipper and was looking for a closer salon to take myself and my daughter to weekly. I went in to take off my dip powder and asked for a manicure. Shuffled between multiple technicians and all were rude. While waiting to get started the first technician spent time on their phone and ignoring me. If the place was super busy I would probably be a little understanding but it was me and another person with 4 technicians! I will never go back here! read more

They either over scheduled or took a group of 5 friends as walk-ins before us. Even though we had an appointment scheduled we waited and 1.5 hours before they did anything. The health of My 85 year old mom's health does not allow her to sit like that. We were not able to do both the manicure and pedicure because she was to exhausted and uncomfortable. Had a pedicure and manicure done on Saturday, February 4 at 12:00. Loved my toes and nails looked nice. Brought my own OPI color, but not base or top coats. On Sunday, February 5, by 11:00 am 4/10 nails had chipped in big chunks. I went by to see if they could fix it and the worker tried to tell me it was because I had them use regular polish and not gel. She also tried to have this conversation with me while she was working on another customer's nails. I ended up leaving with them not servicing me. I consistently do my own manis and pedis because I can usually do a better job. I love having them done sometimes though. It feels good to be pampered. But not by this place again. read more

My daughter who is 11 went with my 20 year old step daughter for pedicures. This was their first visit. They asked my daughter to pick a color. She grabbed a polish and the cap feel off. It dumped polish all in her hair, and clothes. The only thing they could do is laugh at her. Needless to say we will never be back, and you ruined a 40 dollar hoodie.... Laugh it up! read more

I had a pedi a week ago and polish chipped off within a week. I've had many pedi's at many diff. Locations and have never had this happen. I returned asking them to fix them. They wanted to do just a touch up which I refused not knowing if the polish was bad so didn't want the same color/ bottle. They said they would fix for 7.00 . I said no, I'm not paying you again.. they need to be fixed. They claimed they couldn't guarantee the color because it wasn't gel polish. I've never used gel on my toes and have never had this happen. Rudely and reluctantly he repainted them. The very next day they started chipping again. I will not go back here.... I had already been receiving poor customer service the previous times but went there because they are close to home. Not sure what their problems are but seem very unhappy. read more

I love it his place ! The owners are very nice and I have had 4 of the people do my nails and ties . They have always been very nice and do a great job ! I can go for 5 weeks with a dip French manicure .. and I work in the restaurant business and do cleaning and they still stand up ! Going tomorrow for a dip .. it's been almost 5.5 weeks since my last manicure! read more

I love this place! They are amazing and the prices are about the same as everywhere else if not cheaper! They are so nice and they remember their clients. I moved to New York City for 18 months and moved back last week and they remembered me and the things we had talked about before I moved (jobs, kids, family etc). LOVED it! I called about 6:45 to see if my daughter and I could possiby get a pedicure. Absolutely, be here in 15 Min. Kim and her husband were so friendly and did an excellent job! I inquired as to what time they opened in the morning, because I wanted a set of acrylics and Kim told me that she could do them that night. This new salon is filthy! The help was very nice but the salon is very dirty. It's covered in dust, the floors are dirty, there's giant cobwebs in the corners and the nail polish is kind of scattered all around in a very unorganized way. Definitely not a place you probably want to get a pedicure! I would definitely worry about catching some type of fungus! I went in and got my nails done. I would give the job the nail tech did maybe a D. She didn't even get all the nail polish off before she put on a fresh full set. She ended up painting over the remaining leftover polish with new polish which I really didn't care for. Also my nails look crooked... Like they're not evenly shaped so I had to go home and file them myself to get them shaped correctly. I tried this place out because they were a little cheaper than some of the other salons in the area but I would definitely pay the extra money to go to someplace clean. Very depressing in there. Definitely not place to go if you want to relax and get your nails done. read more
