What was supposed to be a simple 7-day job, done by April 11, turned into a total nightmare. From Day 1, this company was a joke. Instead of doing the job they were paid for, they tried to upsell $6000 for roofs we didn't need -- even after we made it very clear we only wanted basic fixes for the city inspection. Before they even started, all plumbing passed inspection -- but somehow, on their first day, the outdoor spigot got "accidentally" broken. They tried blaming it on us when they broke it trying to use the hose. We argued, let it slide, and kept it moving just to get the job done. After every little half-done job, the owner was begging for money -- $100 here, $100 there -- always some excuse: "I can't pay my workers," "I need a babysitter," "I have to leave early." It was endless whining. He even screwed up the contract math and argued about that too, instead of owning his mistakes. Then came the front door fiasco. He called right off jump to complain about having to drill holes on the universal door. Five trips later, and many texts of bull shit excuses he couldn't hang a simple door properly. Screws falling out, door flopping around, and still no wind chain installed like promised. He blamed the frame. We told him flat out (and it's in text): if you find something wrong, tell us. A real contractor would fix it the right way. Instead, he just made more excuses. I finally had enough. I cussed him and his trash crew out. Then he sent me a text --saying my husband wanted him to "n-rig" the job (using the hard R). Yeah. Full-on racist. And dumb enough to put it in writing. If we wanted a half-assed job we wouldn't have complained and made him fix the crap job 5 times from the start . I'm beyond furious. And now, I'm making sure everyone in the community knows exactly what kind of business this is. If he'll lie, cheat, do garbage work, AND send racist messages -- he'll do it to anyone. Being a single woman, it's common to feel like you're being talked down to by contractors, but that was never the case with these guys. I felt very comfortable with Steve, the guy who comes out to quote jobs, from day one. Once the work began, I met Casey, Steve's son, and their great crew of guys. Casey was just as wonderful as Steve, and their crew of guys were friendly and hard-working. They were very efficient and finished the work at my house pretty quickly, but you would never know how quickly based on the quality of the job and the way they left my property. They left my place looking so much better than before they were here and my patio looks amazing! My only regret is not hiring them to work on the front of my house as well, as the front now pales in comparison to the back! I would not hesitate to recommend or to hire these guys again. Didn't need to "come see me" and engage in high pressure, pushy sales process. Communicated completely by Email which was respectful of my time. Let's face it. It's just a driveway. Then they showed up when they said they would. Three guys jumped out and started working. They did everything I saw in the YouTube videos when I was considering doing this myself. See, in the past, I feel like the companies I hired did the bare-minimum and didn't do quality work (something I realize even more after all my YouTube research about trying to do this myself). Victory used a crack-filling machine NO OTHER COMPANY used in my 20 years of having this driveway. WOW. They worked slowly and carefully like I would if doing the work myself. Slowly letting the crack fill seep into the crack ...back tracking and refilling the deeper cracks. They filled ALL THE CRACKS ...the two big/deep cracks and the couple smaller cracks and then all the "spider web" cracks along the edges. And Victory did this without getting tar or sealant on my grass. I didn't see a sprayer. Instead they spread the sealant by hand. Slowly. Carefully. My driveway looks as good as the day I had it poured. I'm not kidding. No other company I hired over the years came anywhere close to the quality of work and the look of the final product as Victory Paving. I feel very confident, now, that my driveway is ready for winter (snow, ice, melt, freeze, repeat) and I can probably get another decade out of my asphalt driveway if I invite Victory back every two years.

I have called maybe 12 times and got my phone answered once and one call back. I have yet to receive any mows though they have been allowed to mow for two weeks. They said they will prioritize my yard and figure out what's going on yet did not mow my yard or get back to me. Virtually never answer my calls. Happy to revise my review once they prove to me that they did not just steal my money. I know it's trying time for businesses but just a little proactive communication would go a long way. I tend to be understanding but my experience this year has been absurd.

Not only was their price very reasonable (it came in between two other quotes), Mike also took his time to explain what to look for in a paver patio and what design elements would fit our vision. He also educated us on the installation process of the patio from the very beginning. Once the construction started, it went much quicker than we had expected. And throughout the process, Mike continued to communicate with us changes that needed to be made based on the elevation of our yard. He always gave us choices on the changes, and we often consulted him on the better choice. Because we were working from home, we were able to observe Mike and his crew working on the patio. My project involved preparing the bed for…read moreplanting, which included tearing out two existing larger sized and two tiny bushes, cutting out tree roots, installing Black Diamond lawn edging, planting the shrubs and bushes we had purchased, putting down mulch, and over seeding the lawn with additional topsoil. This was relatively a small job, as this was for a condo unit. After the bushes were torn out, for some reason they complained about the tree roots. Although, this was in their scope of work, we agreed that we would pay additional money for their efforts to remove any roots that were in the way of the edging. He knew he had to bring a saw to tackle the roots but never brought one. This Contractor was unskilled in the installation of the edging. In fact, he stated he did not like to install edging. After the removal of the bushes, this contractor would show up in the late afternoon around 4 to 5 pm but after the removal of the bushes nothing more was accomplished. The contractor indicated he had a day job and that he could only come after work. We did not know this when we decided to use them. We ended up firing them after paying 50% down for this project. All I got was bushes removed and uninstalled edging with two spikes! I would not recommend this company.

Roger (the owner) often sounded frazzled on the phone, and was actually quite rude and raised his voice at me when I explained my displeasure with the services. I think this company is good if you just want basic treatment and aren't particular about anything. But, if you want anything out of the ordinary, don't expect to get it here.
