The small group training format makes a huge difference: the coaches genuinely care about your progress, and you feel like you're getting stronger together. Their approach is refreshingly balanced, no pressure to train every single day. They encourage consistency with a realistic 3x-a-week cadence that's sustainable and actually delivers results. One of the biggest standouts is their incredible nutritionist, Celia. She's knowledgeable, encouraging, and keeps things flexible and realistic, no rigid plans or extreme restrictions. Plus, because she's also a trainer at the gym, she understands the full picture of your training and can tailor her guidance accordingly. I've worked with several nutritionists in the past and Celia is by far the best. Lift Society even throws in the occasional social outing, which makes it feel more like a community than just a gym. It's honestly one of the hardest things to leave behind as I move from LA to Brooklyn.

The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely committed to fitness. I've learned proper form, improved my posture, and built strength I didn't know I had. When I first started lifting, I was wobbly and off-balance - like Bambi. Now, I feel confident and powerful. I've also gained a much better understanding of how important nutrition is. This is hands down the best gym I've ever been to, and I'm so glad I found it. Shout out to the trainer Alexis who has been so patient with me and cheered me on since day one. She's so motivational. She always has such a warm and positive spirit about her. I don't know how she does it with her super early morning classes lol She is truly a gem. Out of all trainers I have ever had she is the one that has inspired me the most to know that it's possible and I can do it. The proof is there! I've done DEXA scans along the way and I've continuously cut fat and gained muscle.

Shannon is great at providing different accommodations based off skill level and/or injury. Kris is super motivating and is super helpful in guiding you when you're working out on the bench press. Bonus is that Sydney makes an appearance occasionally (Kris's dog) lol My schedule has stopped me from going back the last month, but the atmosphere and the regulars who show up on Sundays are calling my name. It is the first gym where I felt comfortable at and actually felt that the staff cared about achieving your goals. What attracted to me at first was that they specialize on people who are over 40 (I am 57) which was perfect for me. I feel I have learned about my needs and this padawan can now go work out on his own. Thank you Kris and my trainer - Chuck. It was truly an amazing experience and in time I want to return to brush up on my training after I fly on my own. Highly recommended.

Returning to the gym after undergoing cancer treatment was a daunting milestone, but having a trusted trainer made all the difference.Because we have worked together for so long, Nancy knew exactly how to safely transition me back. She balances profound technical knowledge with incredible encouragement. The entire facility is consistently pristine, which gives me great peace of mind. If you want a trainer dedicated to your long-term health, go see Nancy.

Before signing up, I specifically asked about early morning opening hours since I really enjoy working out in the mornings, and that ended up being a great fit for me. Big thanks to Dariana from the sales team, always friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. I ended up canceling my membership after relocating, but I stayed a little over a year and had a very solid experience overall. The cardio classes were especially great, shoutout to Berbard, those sessions were no joke What I liked most is that it feels more like a lifestyle club than just a gym. The space is very clean, the vibe is upscale but comfortable, and if you avoid peak hours, you can finish your workout without waiting for equipment. The only minor downside is that some overly chatty members tend to camp on machines, so you have to be a bit patient at times. Overall, it was a really good experience, and I would definitely consider Equinox again if the location made sense for me.

Before joining, I had no idea what I was doing, was very sedentary, and felt really intimidated by gyms. This place completely changed that for me and broke me out of my shell. All you have to do is show up, listen to the coaches, and do what they tell you to do. They guide you through your workouts & nutrition, track your progress, check in on you, celebrate your wins, and really pay attention to how you're doing. The results have been amazing! I'm not even the most consistent person and I've still seen a huge difference in my strength, endurance, and confidence. The environment is also unlike any other gym I've been to. It's extremely welcoming and encouraging with people of all ages, disabilities, fitness levels, and walks of life. Nobody makes you feel intimidated or embarrassed for being inexperienced. Even though the workouts are in a group setting, the coaches really pay attention to every person and adjust things when needed. Siavash and the entire coaching team are amazing. Every coach there, especially Errol, Perry, Marquis, and Peter, is so good at what they do. They all push you to do your best and you can tell they genuinely care about their work and the people they train. I literally recommend this gym to everyone I know. If you've been wanting to get into fitness but don't know where to start, I highly recommend giving Sixpax a try!!!

I was towards the end of my workout on an incline press machine that I'd placed two 45lb plates, and two 10lb plates, on each side of, respectively. I pulled off both 10lb plates and 1 45lb on each side; which meant I left a 45lb on each side in a rush to get an opening I saw on next piece of equipment I wanted to work out on. Shortly thereafter, Prince, who I now know is the manager *very politely* reminded me that I should pull off all weights. And, I love that! It was my bad and Prince was on it - and I appreciate a well run gym. Also, saw him walking the floor instead of chillin' in his office...which is why he even knew I was the culprit to begin with.
