Families with children and/or friends on the autism spectrum who intend to enroll in the ITP…read more(Inclusive Theatre Program, now called Inspired Theatre Program) classes at Area Stage, please read below before moving forward. Our daughter, now a 9-year-old girl on the spectrum who loves art and music in an incredible way, started her journey with Area Stage in mid-2024 by taking private lessons with Annette, an amazing instructor at Area Stage. Under Annette's guidance and patience, our daughter improved tremendously and was able to perform in three showcases where she sang and danced alongside other children. This success did not come without challenges. Raising and supporting a child on the spectrum can be very difficult. From meltdowns and lack of attention to struggles with taking turns and stimming, families connected to autism understand these behaviors can be caused by many factors such as inflexibility or sensory overload, which are often misunderstood by neurotypical people as misbehavior or poor parenting. Fortunately, everywhere we have gone to help improve our daughter's behavior and skills, we have been blessed with people who truly understand autism and know how to support autistic children, just like Annette did. That changed on May 14th, 2026, when our daughter's instructor had an emergency and could not attend class, so a substitute instructor was assigned to the ITP class. Our daughter had a rough day during class and, as we were told, she was not following directions and was being disruptive. She was repeatedly told not to do certain things because they were "not allowed," as if that alone has ever been an effective way to regulate or support a child on the spectrum. Our daughter was in deep distress, as she often becomes when something triggers a shutdown. Her behavior escalated to the point that the Director of Inspired Theatre Project, Irma Becker, stepped in and told her she was misbehaving, that wh. This is a 1 hour class. Meanwhile, I, her father, was sitting outside waiting for the class to finish. Once the time was up, I approached the door where the children exit from, but no one came out. As I got closer, I heard, "So who's coming to pick up this child today?" To my surprise, it was Irma asking who was picking up my daughter. When I explained that I was her father, Irma approached me aggressively and explained that my daughter did not want to participate and that she was a "mean girl" who pushed her multiple times while she was trying to get her to follow directions. My daughter was listening to everything Irma was saying because they were standing next to each other. While Irma discussed my daughter's behavior with me, my daughter became even more overwhelmed, yelling and completely out of control. I told Irma that I would talk to my daughter later at home, but she continued escalating the situation. In the middle of the chaos, she told me that we needed to discuss next year's enrollment because of my daughter's behavior, although she still had to commit to participating in this year's showcase. I was speechless and asked, "Do you even know that my daughter is on the spectrum?" In response, Irma began listing her titles and degrees in behavioral therapy, completely contradicting herself through her own behavior. It is truly sad that someone like this could be in charge of a program such as this one. We formally contacted ownership via email to explain the situation, hoping to schedule a meeting, discuss possible solutions, and receive an apology. Instead, we were told that after conducting an investigation with the people present, ownership concluded that Irma never said anything inappropriate about our daughter. Additionally, our daughter was removed from the inclusive program entirely only two weeks before her showcase. During a call with ownership regarding our email, the owner himself told us that he believed the problem with our daughter was that she was "not used to hearing no." Imagine saying that about a child on the autism spectrum, as if simply hearing "no" were ever a solution for autism-related behaviors. This was coming from someone who has never spent even a second with our daughter, yet still felt comfortable giving an opinion about her behavior. What I see here is a major red flag. When someone reports misconduct, unethical behavior, or unprofessional conduct and their concerns are immediately dismissed or denied, it creates an environment where that behavior can continue unchecked and potentially lead to even more serious problems. It is like calling a police department to report misconduct by the chief of police, only for the person making the complaint to be punished for speaking up. Thank you for creating a program that helps so many students with special needs. I truly hope this experience serves as an opportunity for growth and improvement so the program can become even more inclusive moving forward.

I honestly wanted to think that John email was wrong about the protocol and management around there but it it is exactly right is very poor management there is no proper protocol no proper etiquette a cross country home service especially when it comes down to management. You do have some excellent employees that will go to the extreme to help a new employee but when it comes down to management y'all lacking so many areas and very unprofessional instead of worrying about time mangement ,You need worry about people knowing that product knowledge Also how to exactly what they're selling to a SP and how to exactly conduct a proper call, with the correct product knowledge not improvising and have real training not to get past a gatekeeper but actually know their product knowledge but that being said know exactly what a Plumber does what a hvac provider does what a electrician does what a garage door opener does pool person exactly do so you don't sound completely stupid over the phone when you're improvising What is actually covered in the preventive maintenance covers these are the questions that are being by Service Providers and this is why they won't join here Network, and why do they have to add us to their insurance policies as additionally insured see those are the questions that need to be addressed and corrected in the improper management and training because those concerns are being bypassed you won't you you want your recruiters to meet a quota but you don't give them the proper resources or adequate training knowledge Add this is an added correction it's a shame that you're losing so many people in the this department due to poor leadership and improper management and the company is losing employees that they're literally quitting not getting fired.  Thank you for the opportunity be blessed and not stressed and I will retrieve my things my personal property Please disregard any typos sent from voice automated text Thank You Kindly Shavon L. She made it sound like it was our fault that we received the bill two years later and she said "Well your insurance company sent you guys a letter about this claim". I told her we never received anything from our insurance company. This bill was from January of 2017 and we didn't move until July of 2017. We somehow received all other bills from lab work and the doctor except this one. Focus Financial seems very unorganized to let this happen. We changed our address with the post office a couple months before we moved and received lots of mail from our house in Florida forwarded to our new address. I don't believe they ever sent us a bill because we would have received it at our new address. Then the lady had the nerve to say "Well, I have another call if you keep asking why you were charged this". We just received the bill at our address in Virginia, so they obviously knew we moved a while ago and we told the billing department as well as the pulmonary staff at Dimagio when we were moving and they got everything into place. I could've raised my voice at her but I didn't. :) I decided to be the better person. She will have karma coming to her for being rude. Meanwhile we have a child with Cystic Fibrosis and the life span is 38 years old and we just went through IVF. She could've been much nicer. What is with people these days? She would definitely benefit from customer service training. The lady had an accent so I assume she was from a different country if that helps Focus Financial to identify this employee.

Think of it as the eBay of tickets but with less transparency regarding who you're buying from & their trust rating. I would love it if tickets-center.com would add profiles of the resellers with ratings, like what eBay does. The lack of information on the seller is the reason for my 1-star deduction on my rating. Other than that, it was a very good experience overall. *Bear in mind that, going in, I expected astronomical prices, the name not matching on my ticket, etc. - all things you'd expect if you bought tickets from a 'scalper' outside the venue.* My experience: my wife and I decided last minute to attend a show that was 2 days away and almost completely sold out. On the event's actual website, there were no 2 seats available together at all. So, I went to tickets-center.com and found the tickets I wanted...2 tickets seated together and were great seats actually. They were absolutely overpriced, but again, I expected that as it was a sold-out show and this is a platform for resellers. The tickets were selling for around $118/each on the venue's site & were selling for ~$250/each on tickets-center.com for the same level/type of ticket. We showed up on the night, the tickets scanned just fine, & no one else showed up to say that they had the same ticket (my biggest fear, actually!). Interestingly enough, everyone in my row had purchased resold tickets, but from different outlets (StubHub, etc.). Even though all the tickets were bought on different platforms, they all had the same name on them! In other words, someone went in when the tickets were released, bought the whole row, and then sold them on different platforms...& probably made a ton of money! If you go in with the understanding that it's a reseller, it'll be expensive, and there's a little more risk than normal...then you'll probably have a good experience. Cheers!

It is not cheaper or does not offer superior opportunities. It is totally, totally a rip off.
