No, we were rudely greeted with "where's your ID's, I need to see them". No hello nothing like that. I asked oh do you ask to see everyone's ID when they immediately walked through the door?? I understand it's the law & we gladly showed you our ID's but you need to change your approach & learn some hospitality. We will never be back, I've never been greeted so much animosity.

It does mean that its selection is pretty limited, but I walked in to find some unexpected surprises on a random stop. I won't say what they were, but Larry's get props for not over-charging on hard-to-find bourbon like so many places - especially smaller shops - do. Nope, these gems were sitting there marked at very reasonable prices (not big box store prices, obviously, but not 3x or 4x what they should cost by any means). Nice staff and a decent selection for how small they are. Fun little hunting stop that I remember fondly.

Landon Winery was near by and we stopped in. The place is big but with that small town, historic vibe. Very relaxing atmosphere. I got a glass of Tempranillo and she had a frozen "Swirl" - a blend of peach and sangria. That was good. My glass was excellent. They have a nice food menu as well. We'll come back when we're not full from "brunch". You can get drink to go as well - I guess the city is good with sip-n-stole. Service was outstanding. Pricing is on par for this type establishment - drinks were $33. before tip. I don't think there would be ideal for kids, but that's just a guess. Definitely will be back when in town.

We arrived, walked in the small building and met Adell. She set up 7 barstools, with wine glasses, and we got to the wine tasting right away. Started with the chardonnay and worked our way through about 5 different wines, ending on the Lenoir Rouge. They were all very good. My favorite being the white merlot. Adell is a character. Such a sweet lady and told us all about the wine making process, her small winery, her husband, how this wine business is their hobby. Just a cool lady that you could spend hours talking to. The only bad thing is they don't ship or distribute so if you want their wine you gotta go to Bells, TX and get it.
