After replacing the filter and having the truck on the rack for several hours they ended up replacing the water separator sensor. Both Erica, Justin, and the mechanic that did the work went over and above. You don't get good customer service like that anymore.

This is the second time I have had a "save the day" experience with Felix at Budget automotive…read more This time I stopped by to see if I could make an appointment with Felix to have him look at a check engine light and a couple problem codes onstar sent me. He asked me where it was at (I pointed outside in the parking lot) and he grabbed his diagnostic tool and went out to look at it. Then he opened the hood, crawled over the engine and emerged with a broken serpentine fan belt. He went on to say the idler pulley had failed and chewed up the belt. At that point he went to work finding the parts (newer Duramax parts are not as easy to find as you would think) and located the belt locally but the idler pulley had to be ordered from Chevrolet and it would be the next morning before it was there. The next morning Port Lavaca had a severe storm that knocked out all power and communications until that afternoon. I called Felix and he told me the pulley was there but it was the wrong belt they had. I had to be in Kenedy for work the following morning so it was important that I got my truck back. Felix finally found a belt in Victoria and knowing I needed my truck he drove over from Port Lavaca and picked it up. By now it was getting late. I had my wife take me to the shop so I could get it as soon as it was done and Felix would not have to wait on us (we live in Seadrift). To wrap this up he didn't finish until 11:30pm that night. When he finished he was more worried about wiping down the hood, bumper and fender where he had been working than getting paid. The bill was within a few dollars of what he quoted me (the correct belt actually was more expensive) despite all the things he had to do to finish the job. I said it before and I will say it again, if your not taking your car to Felix your not getting the best service and your likely paying too much.

Because my motor is not in the back seat. The Suburban was in a wreck and totaled with 170,000 plus miles on it and we still trusted it to take us to Oklahoma and back every couple of months. You can trust these folks for a good deal and reliable vehicles.

Dunno about this place. I called them about customer key programming for 2009 grand caravan. The…read moremanual is vague about this year model. 2008 says you can with 2 working keys. 2010 says you can't , it has to be programmed at dealer. Online, people say 2008 year models you can, as per manual. People say 2010 year models you can't , as per manual. 2009 year model is mixed, some claim to have accomplished the task, others say they had to take to dealer. Now, back to dealer. I called them up and talked to a lady in service department concerning year model 2009. She had to ask a tech , he told her no. Ok. I asked about year model 2008. She asked the tech again. He told her no. She , at least admitted that she didn't know the answer and had to ask someone, that was honest on her part. I appreciate that. This had me concerned. I know the 2008 year model can be programmed by the customer by just following the procedure in the owners manual of that year model vehicle. So I call and ask to speak to the service manager. She talked to me and I asked her the same questions and got the same answers. I confronted her with the fact that both online, and in the manuals of the 2008 model, it says that the keys can be programmed by customer. She told me that was the way it was and she implied that the manuals were wrong and therefore Chrysler was wrong. Best of all, no apologies. No admission of wrongdoing. I don't trust these people now. I have no reason to. My employer has several caravans in their fleet. They are now considering a different manufacturer for new vehicles for replacements for their nearly 20 vehicles here in Victoria alone. These vehicles are literally falling apart and look horrendous as a result. No more Chrysler products for this company, nationwide. And only limited usage of the dealership from now on, thanks to my write up on this and other incidents concerning this dealership. I do intend to talk to corporate (Chrysler) concerning this and will, eventually post my results. Stay tuned. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
