This is not my first experience working with Greg, he is very patient, direct and I trust him. Yep, I said trust him! I like someone who is direct and doesn't try to run circles around me when we speak...I'm pretty direct myself. Extended warranty is operated a bit to shady. They sell you contact. You call they inform you no warranty. Get letter saying buy another warranty. Call back and no won't help you because you didn't get pre-approved. Kind of a catch 22. Terrible way to do business, profitable but not moral. read more

BEWARE! If I could give them less than one star I would. I spoke to Deonna over the phone a couple of times before I traveled 2.5 hours one way to the dealership on Labor Day. I had one truck that I was interested in. I asked her to video the truck and tell me if anything at all was wrong with it. I told her I did not want to drive 2.5 hours one way and have any surprises. She did video it for me but did not video the flaws I saw when I got there. There was damage to the left rear interior door handle and also above the rear-view mirror which looked melted. When I drove the truck none of the Cameras worked at all. Forgot to mention that as well. When I arrived, I was handed off to a salesman (Alex). What a joke! I was told a price for my trade-in over the phone when I was talking to Deonna and she said it could more after they looked at the truck. (Keep in mind I had already sent Pictures and the VIN information) My truck was a 2022 f250 with 34,000 miles on it. They had already seen pictures of the truck and had the VIN information before I came to the dealership. Well, after driving the truck and finding out that the whole Camera system was not working, damage to the left rear interior door and above the rearview mirror I asked Alex what he could do on the price with my trade-in. HA! Alex played the old car dealer game. Going back and forth to someone's office He came back with a trade-in value of $20,000 less than I was told over the phone. And did not even try to adjust their price with the damage and non-working cameras on the truck. I showed him in writing the other trade-in offers I had received which was $4000-$6000 more than what they said it would be over the phone (Not what they actually offer me). These were written offers not just something written on a piece of paper. He wanted me to sign a handwritten note on what I would pay for the truck so he could go back to someone's office. He went back to another office 4 times. I finally told him to bring whoever he was talking to out so we could talk and get something done. He would not do that. At that point he rolled his chair back and brought over a bar stool and sat on it looking down at me in my chair. He then proceeded to talk about the 3 M's on why someone does not buy. What an amateur! So slimy! As he was going to go back to the other office again, I could not help myself. I told him that I had managed one of the largest sales forces in the USA and was very familiar with sales training and tactics. I told him I didn't want to offend him but, DO NOT EVER LOOK DOWN ON YOUR CUSTOMER OR TALK DOWN TO YOUR CUSTOMER. Whoever is doing their Sales Training needs to be fired. I have never seen anything like it. He went back to the other office again and then came back out with my truck keys and said he was sorry they could not do business. Be warned that this dealership will do and say anything to get you in the door. Lie, Cheat or Steal! Call it Bait and Switch or just unethical, they are not anyone you want to buy a car from. This dealership is owned by Ben Keating of The Keating Auto Group out of Victoria, Texas. They own Several Dealerships in South Texas with many in the Houston area. That being said, what they didn't know is that I own multiple trucks and up until now I had all of them serviced at a dealership owned by Keating. I called the dealership that I used and told them because of this experience I would never do any business with a dealership owned by Keating Auto Group again. I have taken my business to another dealership because of this experience. Last but not least, I ended up buying a new 2025 F-350 loaded for less than what they wanted to sell this used truck to me for. And they gave me over $25,000 more for my trade-in. HA! Bait and switch. Came here to pick up a vehicle that we discussed over the phone. Salesman (Alex) and I agreed that the out the door price would be no more than their advertised price including TT&L along with an additional $1500 for random fees that dealers charge. I figured this would be more than enough for any legitimate business to make a profit on given I was going to give them over the asking price. However, they got greedy and wanted to tack on 5k worth of random fees. Example : GPS tracker fee-899, tint fee- 499, cleaning and prep fee 1500, clear coat fee 800, etc. All in all the total cost was 7k more than the listed priced, a 30% increase. And no they refused to remove any of the fees. They stated that the vehicle has been there 60 days and they discounted it already and cannot remove fees. lol. Save yourself the drive and go elsewhere. Because what you see advertised will not be what you get. read more

I have purchased countless cars over my 65 years of life. I can say that I felt this dealership was the best run and most efficient dealership I have ever purchased from. The negotiation were not pressured. After just two attempts we agreed on the value of my trade and a fair price on my new Ford F-350 SD truck. My sales person, Kevon Montgomery was knowledgeable, courteous, well mannered. Finally, he did something that only good sales people do, he said, "I don't know, but I will find out". I can't tell you how many salespeople think consumers need to hear an answer even if it's not true. So congrats to Port Lavaca Ford for having Kevon. When I first bought my truck the service was great. They, like all car dealerships, wouldn't let me leave the lot without a new car. I bought one, and for months after the purchase they called to make sure I was still happy with my purchase. I was, and I still am...I love my truck. The reason for two stars, is that I had to call and call and call when I actually did need their assistance for something. Part of this could have been due to the fact that the guy who sold me the vehicle no longer worked for the dealership. I just didn't appreciate having to call 3 times to get one call back, and having to do it for four days or so to get the situation resolved. In the end it did get resolved, but with everything else on my plate that week, I found it to be a very frustrating experience. read more

Not only were the prices better, but the customer service was great. Melissa and Sandra kept in touch with me but not to an annoying point. Their sales department is good, excellent for that matter. The service department is lacking the quality mechanics that a dealership should have. I had significant warranty work done to my air conditioner system and now I have a screw rolling around inside the dash. I hear it every time i make a turn. The test drive should of taken care of that and he should have noticed it, yet the mechanic was more interested in hot roding in a big truck (judging by my avg mpg significantly lower). Do not go here to get work done. Update: So it turned out it was only a "socket" rolling around from what i was told... What rubbed me the wrong way was the GSM (Gen Service manager) asked me to update this so i am, for the 5 second i was walking to my truck thinking about updating this all hell broke loose when i opened the door. Fore, in my truck the trim was still sitting on the DAMN CONSOLE!!!! you expect me to increase this rating, for you sir, i give you, no commendation just the Bird, take your free oil change to some other pour uneducated sap. Well went there me and my wife were looking at trucks was cold they had a truck playing loud music with doors open and a saleman told us be right with you. My advice to anyone who needs their vehicle repaired; to take it somewhere else, the service department has little to be desired. My experience started with a simple tune-up and front end service on an F-150. Everytime I called the dealership I was told something else was wrong that had to be repaired. After 5 weeks I finally decided to stop the abuse and excuses why I couldn't have my vehicle back and had the vehicle towed to another dealership, essentialy to repair what Port Lavaca Ford broke. Save yourself time and hassle, go to someone else. Cost for a tune up, rear shocks, transmission flush, and front ball joints? $2400 for a non running vehicle - plus towing charges.
