The pharmacy at Drug Emporium saved the day. My husband, a disabled veteran, had a much-needed prescription at the 24 hour Walgreens on Broadway. A technician mistakenly cancelled it, and then said a new refill would take 3 days. The medicine was in stock. I had the prescription transferred to Drug Emporium, and they had it ready in an hour. We're transferring all our prescriptions there. read more

On November 18, 2025, I went to Drug Emporium where I live and purchased a few items. DE is one of my favorite places to shop. However, when I checked out...i was a little shocked at their NEW policy that I assume no one knows about. My bill came out to $19.93...I handed the cashier a $20 bill. She said..."oh because its cash, the total will be $19.95". Why? Oh because pennies are no longer produced so we round up. There are literally 390 BILLION pennies in circulation...there is no shortage...won't be a shortage for YEARS....yet Drug Emporium saw an opportunity to squeeze a little more out of their consumers. I like them, but that $.02 cents just cost them a whole lot more that it would have made them in the future. read more

Another day another bad interaction. I decided to switch to an online pharmacy but drug emporium won't release my prescriptions. They just say they never got the messages the online pharmacy sent (two messages on two different days) requesting a transfer and the guy I spoke with (David) wouldn't double check because he remembers *all* the messages ever sent to the pharmacy. Don't give this pharmacy a try. Learn from my mistakes and go somewhere else. read more

management here is absolutely terrible, disrespectful and unprofessional. when I attempt to reach them via phone I am told they "dont have time to deal with this", and get put on a "hold" which is just them placing the phone down to talk bad about their customers, while I can hear the conversation. I tried to reach out to them on Facebook and get the problem handled and they decided to delete my comment and block me. I have reached out to Corporate and filed a complaint with BBB. the hiring manager is discriminatory and extremely rude and no one wants to help handle this problem privately. so sad as I have been an avid shopper here for 7+ years consistently. read more

I am amazed they have such a huge selection of items. My fav I stock up on everytime actually is popcorn but then whatever else I'm looking for. Whenever I asked an employee something they've been helpful. I try to bring new friends to see it and they also are glad to know about it! read more

Searched up and down the aisles for 10 minutes trying to find a particular vitamin and finally found a lady with a clipboard. She told me what aisle it was on, so I went back and searched that same aisle for a good five minutes. Went back and asked her if it was maybe in with the brand called Now and she said yeah there's some there plus another brand called Solar Ray. I asked would it be possible if she could show me since I'd been searching so long. She Acted annoyed and said, let me call someone to help you. She was no more than 10 ft. away!!! I shop here every time I come to Tyler. Vitamins, meds, specialty items, and OTC meds at a lower price. They usually always have it!!

Be careful if you have to return a product and use your debit card or credit card. If it is $100 they need to put the money back on your debit or credit card cannot give you cash back. They tell you they will have to put it back on your card and it could take up to three days because they use a third party person (scary). If you pay cash they have to give you your cash back. The majority of business will give you cash back or put it back on your card and you can see the transaction the same day. The money was taken out of my account, as I verified with my banking institution and Drug Emporium had been paid. It makes no difference with them, as they are using your money. Just be wise on the policy of returning a product to the business you are shopping at. read more

[I really hope the owners/managers of this store read this!!!!] I go here sometimes when I'm running errands nearby, as they are quicker to get in and out of than walmart, and you can still buy a cold can of soda from their machines for 35 or 40 cents. I will not be back, however, as long as they have a certain indian lady working in their pharmacy. It's bad enough that because of a few stupid people (ruining things for the rest of us), the cold medicine that I prefer is now kept behind the counter (it doesn't have sudafed in it, but most places make you show ID proving you are over 18 to buy it). This is already a pain in the butt. But now this one-woman-drug Nazi has decided that unless my purchase is made while the pharmacy is open, and entered into their computer system, I can't buy it at all. (Last time I tried to buy from her when the pharmacy computers were down, she refused to sell it to me) This irks me because A) walmart, CVS, Walgreens,etc don't have this policy (you just flash your ID ); and B) she is the only clerk at this store who says this (every time I've bought it when she wasn't working, I just flashed my ID ) Today, she told me that I would have to wait 20 minutes while she filled a bunch of other perscriptions before she would sell it to me. Now as I said, this is NOT a controlled substance OR a perscription! Whatever policy she is insisting on following is NOT a state or federal law. Needless to say, I will NEVER be returning to this Nazi store, since there are dozens of other drug stores in town that are less retarded. Thanks for listening, I feel better now! read more

Love this place!!! It has the crazy things that you can't find in regular stores. Their prices seem tinge cheaper too.

I do my grocery shopping here. They have a large supply of gluten free foods, organic foods and health foods in general. It is my favorite store in the area for these things. I also shop for hair products, nail products and other "drug store" items. I have no experience with the pharmacy. read more

I've only been to the store one time and I was surprised by all the items the store handles. I expected it to be primarily a drug store. Anyway, the staff was helpful in helping me find the item I wanted and the price was good. My problem with their website is that they don't have a place where I can search for the next item I want to buy, so it's useless in that regard. read more

This is the only place to get a large variety of health foods, whole foods and organics in Tyler, unfortunately. There are a few other stores, but this one has the freshest produce and a good variety of packaged foods also. The shampoo and vitamin sections are also excellent. They don't take credit cards, which is the only downside. read more

TERRIBLE!!!!! I went here tonight at 8:55pm. Yes, they close at 9, however I needed a bottle of rose oil and a bottle of water. Easily a 5 min experience. Well, they already had the doors locked, which would have been fine except the girl on the other side of the door yells to someone in the office 'should I open the door?' before even making eye contact with me. Whomever says yes. I am fully prepared to say that I'll just be a second but before I say anything, this rude, curly dark-haired female says, 'YOU GOT FIVE MINUTES!' I informed her that I am fully aware of the time. I am with my small child, so I am slow to anger.... I get my couple of items and head to the register. I ask the female at the register to speak to the manager and this other female, with dirty blonde hair and a disheveled appearance (she looks like she's on drugs, not drugstore drugs..) comes out of the office. I explain what happened and the proper way to greet a customer and her response is 'Well......' That's it. That was her response. I ask 'Well what??' She informs me that she'll tell their manager, Gayle, tomorrow. So she isn't actually the manager. My cashier, a different dark curly-haired female, doesn't say so much as thank you, have a good night anything. She rudely hands me my receipt. The cart guys were nice. There was one female working there that was younger, blonde, and attractive. She was nice and personable. I am giving this much description because I want them to know exactly who I am speaking about. If you want to spend that much money, go to Brookshire's FRESH. Fantastic service. read more
