Not only do they have family that participate, but they invest in the 4-H program as well and do purchase livestock during the sale. It's great to have companies like this in our community!

Going to Meert Tree Farm was a disappointment. I normally wouldn't do a review on something like…read morethis, but this experience is different; mainly because we had to drive an hour to get there, thinking that we'd be able to cut down a tree. We could have gotten a tree within a mile of our home, but thought the experience would be something we would appreciate. Trees were definitely there to cut down, but nearly all of them seemed healthy toward the bottom, but very sparse on top. They looked more like shrubs. There were some that had more of a Christmas Tree form , but were still sparse on top. The picture attached shows some of the trees that weren't that bad, but you can still see the base, then the top just being a bare branch. Because of that we ended up buying a pre-cut frazier fur. When I got back into town, I found that the same trees were out there at Home Depot & Ted Drewes for about 60-70% of the price we paid. Maybe its just skepticism, but it seemed that they probably know that people don't want oddly shaped trees and the markup for pre-cut was outrageous. I saw that the farm was actually on the market to sell, so I was wondering if the trees health hadn't been a priority this past year. We have been in a drought, so that would make sense, althought there were hoses throughout the farm. Anyway, it was a huge waste of time and an overall disappointment so I felt like it may benefit someone else before they go the distance.

I had originally contacted about conflicting hours listed online. I was informed that they were not letting people in the store due to Covid-19, which is understandable, but my family was just in the store yesterday picking funeral floral arrangements. I was then informed that if it was for a funeral, they do let people come in. Even after being told this, I was still unable to go in to pick an arrangement. I didn't understand why I was told one thing and then told no. The lady on the phone was very nice, but because I wanted a small arrangement and not a casket spray or a stand arrangement, I'm assuming my money wasn't good enough. I was able to go elsewhere and build a beautiful arrangement.
