Operations is way down a long driveway; good thing for clear signage! You file into a rustic cabin, where they serve you - a plate sized pancake with syrup, and it includes bacon or sausage. You sit at long tables that fit 10-12 people. They also had cookies and muffins for sale. It gets loud in there with so many people! The food was good.

They are only open nine weeks of the year so they are probably closed by the time I'm writing this. Still I wanted to support the business. This is a Sugar Bush and pancake house. I was there as a child and wanted to take my wife out this season as she had never had the experience. This is a very rustic Sugar Bush. There are many around Ottawa within a 2 hour drive, much more polished then this one, but we enjoy this one probably the most. The food here is the best, very fluffy pancakes and a menu you can customize with eggs and the whole breakfast meal deal. Prices are reasonable and you get all the syrup you want, (while eating). They even have Paleo pancakes if you like. Food prep is fast and its great to bring the kids for brunch. Most of the other people we saw were families with young kids. There is not much to do besides eat. This is one drawback. They have some old fashioned buckets and taps set up for display but just a few beside the parking lot, probably for the school kids. There is a trail but I think its more for their use than intended for the public. No one stopped us from wandering around and checking out how the trees are tapped. They sell all their maple products there as well. So you can buy your annual supply of syrup. My family keeps a Gallon or two and its enough. They started taking credit cards the day we were there. The signal for the machine was still weak so I recommend taking enough cash to pay for what you want, just in case. They do not take debit. If your looking for a good rustic pancake family brunch, I'd say drop by Hunter's. On your way home take a scenic drive through Spencerville. http://www.huntersmapleproducts.com/
