Was pleasantly surprised with my stay here. -Free hot food and cold beverages for a period starting at 5:30pm aka The Manager's Reception at another well-known hotel chain. There was enough real food that I could have made a meal out of it. -Hot breakfast, including waffles you make, sausage gravy and biscuits and other goodies -Free internet -popcorn and cold soft drinks available for snacking The decor was a little dated, but I was there to work, not for enjoying the decor. The service was friendly as expected, although a little slow. I look forward to enjoying other Drury properties in the future, and I don't say this lightly. I really enjoyed my stay and felt like I received an excellent value for my spend.

I had seen it from the highway many times and, because the price was $30-50 lower than similar hotels in Cape, I assumed it was well past its prime...

We have a family of six and stayed here because we were able to get a suite with a pullout couch…read more(that limits us a bit on hotels). We stayed here twice this week, once on the way to Texas and once on the way home. Our experience is that it was serviceable for our family. Nothing special. The breakfast was a bit sparse. There were other little details that were lacking. The hotel sign for instance hasn't been put up yet and the poles are still sitting there. The outside entrance at the end of the hall on the first floor has not had its lock installed yet, etc. My biggest complaint is that the beds are extremely firm. I woke up both nights with a sore back. It doesn't seem to bother the kids though. We didn't try the pool, so no comments there. Would we come back? If we had to, but we are going to look elsewhere first.

However, just because they are up front doesn't necessarily mean they are not consumed on their phone or laptop (not the work one). The breakfast area, floor, and tables haven't been mopped or wiped down. Again, the lady at the front desk was MIA. Breakfast is supposed to be till 10am and on Sunday, the front desk decided not to make sure there was food there for people who sleep a little later or are unable to get to breakfast till close to the end. Here is the deal, I hope I never need to stay there again, for what we paid, wasn't worth it.

I found this place on a 3rd party booking site while looking for hotels in the area and really…read moreliked the set up of the hotel in the pictures. When we got here at about 7pm, we were greeted instantly by a front desk clerk who was really friendly and quick. Check in was such an easy process, which was really helpful since I had a 5 year old who was dying to swim after spending 10 hours in the car with the promise of the end goal being to swim at the hotel. The hotel lobby and hallways were all really clean and well maintained, and the room was nice but I was really surprised at the size of the bathroom. Everything was well stocked and the shower worked amazing. The pool area was clean, it was nice that there was a baby pool that's 1.5' deep attached to the pool. While the pool area felt a little crowded because of all the people there, everyone was really nice who was in that area. While the friendliness of the guests isn't a reflection of the hotel itself it is a helpful reflection of the travelers that go through the area. There is a handful of restaurants nearby with Red Lobster and Olive Garden literally being in the same parking lot. We walked to Olive Garden in about 2 minutes. The continental breakfast was ready and out by 6am start time, and was pretty decent. They had a good selection of breads, pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt, waffle makers, eggs & sausage and biscuits & gravy. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm in the area, and I'd recommend it to anyone staying with kids.

Very dirty. Shampoo and black hair in shower. Black mold on ceiling. Dirt smeared on door frames…read moreand walls. Dirty sofa chair. Very noisy. Heater is loud and music blasting from other rooms all night. Shady people in parking lot and felt very unsafe. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
