The front desk are not friendly at all. They would much rather go to the back room instead of being hospitable to guest. However, just because they are up front doesn't necessarily mean they are not consumed on their phone or laptop (not the work one). The breakfast area,floor, and tables haven't been mopped or wiped down. Again, the lady at the front desk was MIA. Breakfast is supposed to be till 10am and on Sunday, the front desk decided not to make sure there was food there for people who sleep a little later or are unable to get to breakfast till close to the end. When I got to my room I checked the sheets and everything for any signs of bugs. I stay two nights in a row. Each morning I woke up to more of these. This morning they were everywhere. She told me that bedbugs explode when they die. I compared these with several Google pictures. They were in my bed, on the bathroom floor, everywhere. No apologies from the manager. She said a child must've put food like a cookie in the vent and while I was sleeping it must've sprayed all over the bed I didn't use in my bed, and I'm not sure how it got all the way into the bathroom around the corner. We will not come back here. We took 3 soccer teams to a tournament in the area. I blocked off 25 rooms for the families. Upon booking our rooms, we were all subjected to a sales pitch for Bluegreen Vacations. Then I got to the hotel Friday night and was told I didn't have a room until Saturday. They had an opening but I had to come back to the desk Saturday to check out and in a second time. The the chair was stained and had small tears in it. The floor was not clean. Several other families had issues with the electrical appliances not working, fridge had to be defrosted, dirt coming out of the heat/cooling unit, and one family had bed bugs (their daughter has bite marks to prove it). read more

This hotel isn't necessarily a bad hotel. However, not worth the money. $175 for one night in a king "suite". The room we stayed in was no suite. I believe the listing I saw was estimated at 350 sq foot. And after looking through more listings, the same room is listed at $93 for other dates. From my understanding, they took advantage of the fact that the other hotels in the area have short staffing and limited rooms and jacked their rates up. Gross. The TV in the king suite is maybe 25 inches. There's holes in the walls. The curtains hang over the air conditioner creating a hazard with the heat on. Some suite, huh. Oh and if you're wondering, there is a pool! But a fuin, there were screws littered along the pool floor. And don't forget the see through 0.5 ply toilet paper and microwave from the 80's that doesn't heat up food. Oh, but hey, don't forget. They've been renovating for over a year now. We have a family of six and stayed here because we were able to get a suite with a pullout couch (that limits us a bit on hotels). We stayed here twice this week, once on the way to Texas and once on the way home. Our experience is that it was serviceable for our family. Nothing special. The breakfast was a bit sparse. There were other little details that were lacking. The hotel sign for instance hasn't been put up yet and the poles are still sitting there. The outside entrance at the end of the hall on the first floor has not had its lock installed yet, etc. My biggest complaint is that the beds are extremely firm. I woke up both nights with a sore back. It doesn't seem to bother the kids though. We didn't try the pool, so no comments there. Would we come back? If we had to, but we are going to look elsewhere first. read more

One of my kids was sitting on the couch and screamed becauae he thought he saw a spider. Well I found it and it was a bed bug. I pulled back the covers and saw a couple more. We packed up asap and tried to leave. When we told the desk, they had no other rooms. Then they offered me to go to Perryville to stay (40min away). I declined due to the fact I dont want to stay here. Then the manager on the phone act like he didnt care. I could hear him talking and asking her if I left yet. Anyway they are trying to decline my refund because I didn't accept their offer of taking a room 40min away at 11:30pm. This has been a nightmare. Stay away from this place. So I'm on my way back today to see why/how they can justify they can keep my points/money for this place. read more

The room we were given had BLACK MOLD growing in bathroom. Room 214. When we notified the front desk, they were aware & didn't care. It was in the bathtub caulking & drain. Some if it would come off when we ran some toilet paper on it. The bathroom floors were not clean! I have pictures & would love to post them! The hot tub in pool area also was not very clean. My son and daughter in law have a baby in nicu, dil had just been released from another hospital and finally got to go see her baby 4 days after an emergency c section. They needed a room so we went down the list that the hospital says offers special rates for families. Many hotels had no vacancies but this one had 14 rooms at almost 9pm. The lady taking the reservations said she had been given strict instructions to not give discounts on this night but I could call management the next morning. I booked the room at DOUBLE the rate that hospital families were supposed to get. When I called back to talk to manager and then owner NICK he was extremely rude and said he didn't have to discount for the hospital because there wasn't a contract and he refused to discount the room at all. Said patients families should only stay Monday through Thursday. The place was nasty and definitely overpriced. read more

This placed opened in 2009. The furniture, fixtures, counter tops, ect. Are all very nice, but there are a couple of key features that are not well maintained. The breakfast is more Motel 8 with canned fruit cocktail, stale biscuits, ect. The pool was green and needed treatment. Apparently a staff member thought that too because it has a ton of chlorine in it. When we turned on the jets for the jacuzzi, everyone's eyes began to burn. The pool was freezing, nobody was swimming in it. The room was very nice except for the carpet that even felt dirty on your feet when you walked on it. I will not be coming back. read more

My group of seven reserved two suites for 4 nights and secured our reservation with a credit card (or so we thought.) When we arrived at the hotel in the evening, we were told that our rooms had been sold. What's the point of a reservation if they do this sort of thing? The room had fresh towels, but there was no hot water in the room. The bedside table had dried tobacco chew on it. Additionally, the room had one bottle of conditioner, no shampoo, and there was an open bar of soap sitting in the bathtub. When I tried to call the front desk to give the staff an opportunity to address these issues, it rang 56 times and I never got an answer. Clearly, this hotel needs new management to hold the staff accountable to basic standards. read more

This is the worst place for a married or engaged man to stay with out his spouse. The hotel front desk clerk Casey broke into my fiancé's room while he was staying here on business and left a note on his pillow. After him making it very clear he has a family back home. I don't know why the management would allow such a person to work here, she works at the front desk and shouldn't have any reason to be in a guests room. Therefore she took advantage of the power she was given and broke privacy protocol. She kept flirting with him after him telling her that he has a family back home. She even started calling him "grumpy". Casey is very unprofessional and this company should fire her immediately! She should not be allowed to work anywhere that she can have access to a guests personal room! Also during his stay here one of the cleaning ladies went into his room and stole money which the hotel management again, did nothing about. This is a horrible place! DONT STAY HERE. Not happy. Weeks ago, several friends/families booked rooms at Comfort Suites Jackson for our parent's wedding anniversary. Some of us were called the day before saying our reservations could not be honored because the hotel had air conditioning issues on the second and third floor. The manager said that their sister hotel (20 miles away in Perryville) would honor the rooms at the same rate. According to that hotel, the Comfort Suites in Jackson had no authority to tell us that. Other family members' reservations were honored at the same hotel and these families said there was no issue with air conditioning at all. The hotel simply overbooked and instead of disclosing that, the manager completely lied about what was going on. I spoke to the manager myself for about 10 minutes and he went into a long story about how he didn't want guests to be bothered with the heat and he was letting us know early so we wouldn't be inconvenienced. It was disastrous. We were all surprised the corporation allows this to happen. read more
