I had an appointment scheduled for 10am on a Friday, and overnight I had to go to the ER and was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia. I called right when they opened on Friday to cancel the appointment, and asked if they would make an exception to their rule of charging 50% for cancellations within 24 hours since I have literal pneumonia. While they were not kind about it, saying I'm so sorry or anything like that, they agreed to make an exception. Then I got an email saying they charged me anyway. I replied back and reminded them of the conversation and asked them to refund the charge, but I have received no response. A little kindness and understanding goes a long way... I will be finding a new salon now.

I tell her I'd rather a discounted haircut and that I don't use conditioner. She agrees. I will go ahead and spoil this by saying she did not give me the discount and did put conditioner in my hair after saying she was "just wetting it" when I told her I'd already washed my hair. I had a specific inspo in mind. I'd been growing my hair out for it. I wanted a Ramona Flowers type thing but with a blunt cut because of my hair type. Jaz sloppily stuck two pieces up and when she cut them they were super unevenly distributed. One was made of like 5 hairs and one was thick like I wanted. She blamed it on my cowlick which makes no sense. I went home and cut it. I was a little disappointed but whatever. Until I realized later that the conditioner had been hiding a pretty not blunt cut otherwise. I am so upset. It was an expensive cut, she made me wait like a week beyond my appointment for it, didn't give me my discount, and when I contacted her to tell her that I didn't like it, she said I could rebook. As if I'm giving her another $50. And mind you, she took like 30 minutes on it! No time at all. I have no idea what I did to this lady. Invest in a three way mirror, y'all. Customer service is down the drain.

So I went in today to cut off a good amount and to go gray-- which is so hip right now! It was my first time here so I didn't know anyone and went with Stephanie Marie. I wanted my long hair cut about 8 inches and to dye my dark-ish red, gray with purple roots. Honestly, after all the coloring and as she was blowing my hair dry, I was disappointed. I couldn't see the gray! But it was okay, hair grows back.... Until the hair actually DID dry and I could see all the color in its glory! She did an amazing job!!! Shady business! The other thing I notice is they don't listen well to what I ask for in other ways too- they are like many other hairdressers in that they end up doing what they are most comfortable doing and what they think looks good -ie a bit cookie cutter. It's then up to you to fix it up but later if you feel you can ( sometime I can sometimes I can't!) lol.
