Great River Experience, But Some Room for Improvement
We had a mostly great time with Dryland Aquatics. The tubing trip down the Niobrara River was absolutely beautiful and relaxing, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a scenic, peaceful adventure that's perfect for families or groups looking to unwind and enjoy nature.
However, there were a few issues that stood out. When I stopped in at the store wearing American-themed clothing, one of the older male staff members gave me a disgusted look and shook his head in a way that felt very disrespectful and unnecessary. It was disappointing and left a bad first impression.
There also needs to be better signage at the landing spots. When we finished our float, there was no staff present to help people out of the water or collect the rental equipment. Several other families were in the same spot looking confused, and one couple said they'd been waiting for 30 minutes without seeing anyone from Dryland. It made the ending feel disorganized and a bit frustrating.
Lastly, the tube rentals are priced on the higher end, especially considering the lack of support at the landing area and the customer service issues I mentioned.
Overall, the river experience itself was fantastic, but I hope the company takes steps to improve the experience and consistency for all guests. read more
