DSW has high quality shoes. That being said the prices will be higher than a regular store. They do have a large clearance section that I will find shoes in. I usually always find what I want at DSW. They have premier/quality brands at reasonable prices. I have found some great shoes, sandals and boots at DSW over the years. A majority of my purchases usually come from the huge clearance area. I just love a great deal. The store is clean, massive - well stocked and organized. If I find anything I like, and for some reason they don't have my size, they can order it and get it in the store or mailed to me directly with no extra charge(s). As I keep my review short and sweet, I can only say that I hope this location never moves or closes. I would be very bummed out if that were the case. It's super close to my house and easy to get to. Even if I could still order online, it's not the same as seeing and trying on the shoes in person. Many large chain stores (brick and mortar) are starting to consolidate their locations and opting for more online sales. That really wouldn't work for a shoe store. The sales associates were very helpful. The store was clean and well organized. We got a great deal, my boyfriend bought some Gucci boots on clearance 550 dollars off the sale price, and I got some heels 70 percent off. They have a huge clearance section that was what drew us in but they have a large selection outside of clearance as well. read more

The business had several employees walking around straighten up shoe boxes. But we were there looking & trying on shoes and not one person asked us " if they could help us" poor service! I mean seriously it's shoes! What woman doesn't love a good deal??!?!?!?! I happen in here 2-3 times a month just to check it out. I often walk out with a steal. Yesterday a $8 pair of Steve Maddens! The staff is always courteous and offers help and will even leave you be if that's what you wish. They have a wide selection of designers and styles! I have spent entirely too much money at this DSW. What that means is that they have an incredible selection, and I always walk in and find something I can't live without. I love the clearance section and always head there first. I can typically find a couple of different things in clearance, and always find things in other places in the store. I love the fact that when I walk in DSW, I am always greeted, and someone always checks on me while I'm shopping. They don't do it a judgmental way. Rather, they are truly checking to see if they can help their customers. If you're in the market for new, better made shoes, I don't think you can beat DSW's selection or customer service. read more

Awful service here. The task of ordering a new item and picking up in store or getting shipped to home is horrible. I have had at least 5 bad experiences for not receiving items, them saying it was never ordered, items missing things (purse missing strap), or poor quality. The customer service at the greenwood indiana location is horrid. The management is trash and honestly the place is a dirty pig pit. The bathroom Made me want to vomit. They also treat the employees below them with disrespect in front of customers which I do NOT like. When I say then I mean the store manager and assistant manager. They seem to be bullies. Cleanliness needs to be a priority at DSW. Treat staff w dignity because customers see it all. Also, when someone tries to return something- have a little bit of sympathy. I don't normally write reviews but today is a special one. I went into DSW with a friend of mine to find some shoes before our yearly trip and am so happy we did! The manager Rachel ended up helping us find multiple pairs and was so kind and helpful! I attempted to call back today and give her kuddos to the store manager but she was working again so I figured I would post here. The store is huge and bright with selections of every kind of shoe. I was looking for a pair of Men's black dress shoes and stopped by this location. This vast space had helpful signs posted above the aisles to help me quickly find the area of the store I needed to search. The aisles here don't go to the ceiling, but stay below eye level, so it was easy to view the entire store from any location. It also eliminated the need for climbing steps on a ladder to reach any shoe. Being that I had a clear view, I quickly realized that this was a self-serve business. (If anyone was helping customers out on the floor, they were not quickly identified.) So, I headed over to my section and saw a variety of options to meet my needs. Below each pair of displayed shoes are the boxes of that type with the sizes on the end of each box. Surprisingly, most were ordered from smallest to largest! Unfortunately, the size I usually get wasn't available in all the varieties. However, since it was so easy to scan the sizes, it only took me a few minutes to find a pair that met both size and style requirements. The aisles are also wide enough that I was able to comfortably try one of the fitting benches that allowed me to sit and put on the prospective purchase without being nudged by other shoppers in the same aisle! Upon making my selection, there was a bit of a wait for the next open checkout register. Only two were open since it was a Wednesday morning. The clerk was cordial and asked the customary questions about my interest in receiving emails about sales. Nothing too intrusive, so she quickly determined I only wanted my shoes and she expedited the process. Overall, I would say good selection at a nice price and polite service. #BlackFriday was not too crazy at DSW. The deal they had going was 30 percent off two pairs. we did not end up purchasing anything but the atmosphere was friendly and peaceful and unlike alot of places- it was kept clean and tidy and easy to find what you were looking for. read more

DSW is a-ok in my book, I change workout shoes every 4 months or so and work shoes twice a yr sometimes more. Selection is pretty good, kids section could use some work, layout is efficient and clear, staff seems helpful if you need them. I always peruse the clearance rack, hit and miss, even with % off sometimes it's still not a good deal. Tennis shoes are pretty competitive, dress shoes not so much, I usually visit when I get a coupon in the mail or a b-day discount card. For a place that calls it self a discount store they should be a little more competitive on price, just sayin. read more

I bought my favorite pair of shoes here twice. Their staff is usually very helpful. I wish they would sell mis-matched shoe sizes, or at least allow me to order them (my left foot is 1/2 size larger than my right). Their prices are usually average or below other shoe stores, and they have a huge clearance section. I give points for having wide isles and bright lighting. read more
