I wanted to give myself time just in case I needed to have alterations done. The original conversation with the sales person was, It was only suppose to take 7-10 days to arrive at the store (Allen & Allen). during the 7-10 days I checked to see what the status was on the suite and I was told not to worry! Now its's three weeks before my daughters wedding and I've not heard any thing about the suit or the shoes? August 9th, I reach out to to the sales person by text to see what the status was? I was told then that the suit doesn't come in my size, 3 weeks before the wedding. I was told that I wouldn't receive a refund but instead a store credit. Now the fact of the matter is I never received the suit or the shoes, so why can I not get my money back. I looked up their return and refund policy and it says if the merchandise has not been worn and the tags are still in tacked then a refund could be issued, of course this policy is not posted in the store? Keep in mind I never received any merchandise so I need my money back or are you just going to force me spend my money with you!!!!! Not good business.

So when I called around to bespoke tailors in town, a new custom suit was going to be at least $2000! I thought, well maybe there's some bespoke zoom filters that remove 75 pounds and dress me to the nines. Luckily I remembered the OG Indy tailor Leon Tailoring. Walking in their expansive shop was like walking back in time, when there was a men's haberdashery on every corner and a porter named Chesapeake to your coat at the door. Okay that might be too far so think MadMen with today's latest styles. My guy Norman said he could fit my large belly and narrow shoulders into an off-the-rack suit in year-round wool for less than $1000. That included two fittings and adjustments. Free was Norman arguing with his fellow salesman over a pricing estimate. They sounded like an old married couple arguing over who said what, when in reality they each forgot something different. It was adorable but if I hadn't cleared my throat, they'd still be caught in some bickering causality loop. As of this review the suit arrived for the first fitting and it's fantastic. I can't wait to throw it on and get the next phase of my career started properly!

Meaning I am forever hitching up my pants. A-nnoying! A friend told me to check out the jeans at Torrid; and that, by the way, they had a buy 1 get one half off sale on jeans this week. Sold! I was excited as soon as I walked in to the store. The carry lots of things that are definitely my style or that I'd love to incorporate into my wardrobe. While I did feel their prices were a tad high on some things, my initial impression is that their clothes appear to be well made and with nice fabrics. I ultimately purchased 2 pairs of jeans, and found the prices to be reasonable for good jeans, $60-$70. I absolutely love the fit and the material feels sturdy yet soft. We'll see if I'm hitching up my pants at the end of the day and how they hold up after a few washings. Torrid carries sizes 10-30. However, I'm a 10-12, and found it a little hard to find things in my size. There were several tops that I would have purchased if they'd had them in my size. The one gal did say that they don't typically send them as many of those sizes. "Plus" size typically starts at 14 in most stores. I know I did question if they'd have my size when I heard about them. So maybe not as many women in those sizes know about Torrid yet? I know this curvy girl is intrigued! Also, I really LOVE their roomy fitting rooms with plush seats. The whole fitting room area is decorated really posh and swanky. My hubby was pretty comfortable while he waited. Really the topping on the cake for this store was the women working. All 3 were extremely helpful, and I barely had to leave the fitting room once they knew what I was after. They also helped me order items online that hadn't been available in my size and sent me off with some really great coupons. Having a great experience when shopping for clothing is always a great feeling. But awesome coupons are even better!

I generally like the merchandise here, but also learned that a lot of the colors here fade extremely in the was (yes, I followed the instructions). Really never put any colors purchased here with anything not of the very same color, unless you're looking to dye a few things. The ladies (now there were 2) were nice enough at the check out. When they asked who helped us, we did let them know that no one could be bothered. As I keep my review short and sweet, I can only say that I hope this location never moves or closes. I would be very bummed out if that were the case. It's super close to my house and easy to get to. Even if I could still order online, it's not the same as seeing and trying on the shoes in person.
