My friends, you were accurate... the team members are not helpful or friendly and nor do they move quickly. The shoes I found made it worth it and they had an expanded selection of Steve Madden. Accomplishments: organized shoes, well stocked, organized clearance section. cute accessories to browse while in line, plentiful supply of sheer stocking, plentiful parking. Disappointments: team members not friendly, most favs were not in my shoe size, there were 3 people behind the register but only one was actually working the register, the other was looking for a stapler... and the line had 9 people in it and was almost at the front door. AsI travelled through the shopping venter , I decided to stop at DSW to see if they had a selection of mens slippers. I entered the store and the armed uniformed security guard said "hello". I returned his greetign and walked to the mens section . I walked up and down the isle ,looking for mens slippers,and noticed that they had a clearance rack in the back near the bathrooms. I walked to the back and searched the racks for slippers in my size. I then looked up and noticed that the security guard had walked to the back of the store , to watch what I was doing. As a senior in my late 60's , I felt offended that he decided that he needed to watch me shop. As I then strolled to the door, the cashier asked me if I found what I was looking for. I told her what my intent was when I walked int he store, but have elected to not purchase anything due to their "selective surveillance" polices. I'm sure that no one told that security guard that his job was to follow customers. In the current climate where thieves are running in and snatching merchandise and walking out, why did he decide to watch me? The manager blamed the security company that was contracted by their corporate office for his behavior. In essence do not shop here if you think that you are the wrong race. Their inventory has fallen off and not worth the trip. read more

I love shoes like I love my men and food! I really appreciate DSW being open during the Covid and enforcing social distancing while shopping. I can find a shoe for any occasion here without breaking the bank. I love how they are partner with after pay (download the app you can buy now and pay later). They always have my size and if my size isn't available, I can order online and pick it up at the store. read more

Followed all around the store by the tall black African or Jamaican manager. I shop here so much especially for my kids and will stop now. The nice lady at the register said you have so many points when I was leaving. As a valued customer I don't feel like I should be followed around for no reason especially when I shop there so much. read more

I was overly excited to have a DSW open in the area! My first time in the store, I'd have to say I wasnt WOW'd. I sashayed to the clearance section because its the best-of course. To my surprise, I found some very different Converse high tops. Now I've purchased converse probably one other time in my life but this price was remarkable. The original price was $64.94 w/30%. I had a $25 dollar gift card. Yes yes you do the math! So I also picked up some socks for my daughter and headed to the register. The cashier rings my shoes up and overlooks the socks. Tells me my total. I swipe my gift card. I then notice she forgot the socks. I bring that to her attention. She states " I cant ring them up because you swiped your gift card". It has to be 2 transactions. I asked for a manager. The manager comes and says she cant void it because I used a gift card. Ahmm. Its been 20 years since I worked in retail but that seemed very fishy to me. I ended up doing 2 transactions but this store is definitely still "wet behind the ears". Right now, this store is still evolving into the DSW that I know and love. Many of the employees stared at me and did not speak. No one offered assistance, but 1 lone employee did say hello. The clearance section is not yet fully lined with shoes and lacks options for a great deal. The kids section is decent for Girls. I also perused the women's boots and shoes and found many different styles and colors, but not the tall gray boots I am looking for. I was suprised they sell Uggs, but not the newest styles I've been seeing on Instagram. It's worth the visit, especially if you love being around shoes. read more

We took my elderly mother here yesterday in the hope of finding a comfortable pair of shoes and we were very pleased with the selection. However; if you're looking for anything but a cursory amount of assistance, this isn't the place to find it. On Sunday, October 16, 2022, I went to DSW to purchase my son some boots. While in line I noticed the female clerk exhibiting good customer service to a caucasian couple who had been at the counter for some time. After the customer's transaction, the clerk thanked the caucasian female with a slight smile. When the female clerk asked for the next customer I approached the counter and the African American female clerk's demeanor changed to a more stoic personality. The female clerk asked for my phone number which I gave her and nothing else was said until she mentioned the total. I asked her if my information showed up on the monitor and she seemed to be irritated when I asked the question. After the transaction, she slightly pushed the bag with my purchase inside towards me and didn't say anything so I said, "thank you" she mumbled something so I said, "thank you" again. The female clerk finally said thank you and glared at me and I glared back. I was not happy about the attitude she displayed toward me. Is there a certain set of rules for any other minority group of people that shop at DSW??? I happen to be an African American District Manager for a retailer and we do not tolerate that type of customer service toward anyone. read more

This DSW is fairly new. It's your standard DSW. The clearance section is pretty paltry probably well suited for the more seasoned woman if you know what I mean. They do have quite a nice children's section. Overall it's nice to not have to travel for shoes. read more

I was excited to see a DSW in my back yard. When I finally paid a visit I was very disappointed. There was not the usual quality selection nor the level of customer service I was used too. I guess I will have to pass the store in my neighborhood and continue to drive to the stores in Canton or Columbia unless the quality improves. read more
