I've been on a quest of sorts to find the best TJ Maxx's in my area. This one is good. But, IMO, all of them are not what they used to be. Back in the day I could walk into a TJ Maxx and find several outfits. That's not the case these days. Oh well. There's plenty of parking as the store is in a strip mall. It's very orderly and organized! I like that. I've been looking for sleeveless shirts and shorts for working out. I know I could get those anywhere, but I used to be able to find some really good workout gear. I did find some shorts, tried on others, but only 1 pair worked. I also purchased a candle, and I hope it burns as good as it smells. AND a 2-piece tray set for my pantry. So, I did make a purchase. I'll keep my eyes out for other stores. read more

I stop by occasionally and the store has been orderly on most of my visits. My favorite section is the bath and beauty session where I often find my favorite brands slightly discounted. My favorite find this year was a name brand blow dryer significantly cheaper than other places. Korean skincare is trending and they have several popular Korean brands that you can try at affordable prices. Secondly, they have several options for inexpensive earrings that will not tarnish. I also love checking out the stationary. The have cute notebooks, cards and planners that are perfect for gifting. read more

In and Out. That was my experience. This is probably The Worst store and I wouldn't be surprised if they closed this location. Couldn't find anything for adolescent boys. Not one thing in my sons size (10), no pants, windbreaker, fleece, Nada. Owing Mills, outside of this store, doesn't appear to be the place for shopping. read more

I came in to look for a new suitcase for an upcoming trip. When I had narrowed it down to 2 or 3, I asked an employee named Ashleigh what she thought. She helped me ALOT- she tested out the wheels and checked out how durable they felt comparatively and looked inside of them and actually talked with me about different scenarios looked at the prices of each and went into reasons why she liked the one she did vs another. The store in general was clean and stocked and there was alot of staff around putting merchandise away etc. and everyone said hi when I walked by and seemed like they were happy to be there. There wasn't a line at all and the checkout staff member was really nice. I usually come here for snacks, hair stuff, skincare stuff, clothes and now luggage! I found I was looking for and more and feel like I saved a lot of money! This location is typical of most TJ Maxx locations...lots and lots of "stuff" everywhere. This location's clothing departments are stacked to the brim with deals, especially the baby section. As is the case with all stores of this kind (check your merchandise before you leave or as soon as you get home...some things are irregular. This is the perfect stop of really nice, well priced, name brand baby clothes. The only 'downside' is that the lines always seem long. But, the cashiers work!! Because the cashiers are actually working, not in the phone or standing around, you won't have to wait long when checking out. ...there were 8 customers in front of me with 2 cashiers. I am so disappointed at how was treated today by a manager "Christine" at the Owings Mills location of Tj MAXX. I purchased 2 of the exact same blue scarves. Same fabric, color, & style absolutely identical. However I was charged 2 different prices. What makes this so bad is that even the cashier agreed with me that it was exactly the same item. I have 2 Tj Maxx Credits Cards. I am a very pleasant person, so naturally I created the manager warmly. Her attitude is horrible. I explained to her that the items were on the same. However she did not care, had a horrible attitude. The manager "Christine" told me " I am the manager for a reason". I have worked in retail and the service industry all my life. I had no idea that once you became a Manager you had totally arrived and didn't need to learn and exercise customer service skills. So disappointed, I am so hurt that I don't want to spend another penny in Tj MAXX. And then she said "I am done, I am the manager and walked away". I love the small section in front near the check out that has discounted electronic accessories. Ahhh yes, Tj Maxx. Another place in which digging around can yield great rewards, without causing great strain on your wallet. You can hit or you can miss, but when you hit it's likely to be a big one! Like my most recent find-- $200 brown leather boots, for only 80 bucks! I had to shuffle through boxes and boxes of boots to find 'em, but once I did I knew they were the one. After a quick lap around the store to make sure they're as comfy as they are cute, I was good to go! On my way out, I saw some ladies searching through that same pile of boxes... This TjMaxx has a great selection of clothing, shoe, and accessory items. It was very well-organized and has a great layout for shoppers weaving in and out of the aisles. However, it did not have too many attractive options for girls bigger than a size 6, but I did find a few good finds after much digging. The customer service of the cashiers were above par while the dressing room attendant was kind of kooky and dismissive. I must say the tricks TjMaxx has up their sleeves with those little knick knacks placed within the aisle before you cash out always gets me. Darn you $2.99 candles! read more

On August 29th, I visited the store at 9616 Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills, MD and made two purchases. On September 15th, I returned to the store to return items that didn't fit properly. The cashier was unprofessional and decided she was going to make up a new policy not listed on the TJ Maxx receipt or board and wouldn't accept my return. This was after I waited in line for 20 minutes due to the fact that there was only two cashiers working. This is by far the worst customer service I have received in this area, and now understand why people do not make it a regular habit to shop there and I never will again. Manager there is terrible. The last 2 times I was in there she was nasty to me. She refuses to help, has terrible customer service. I asked a younger guy what size a shirt was that I was specifically looking for through the whole store for. As he goes to look at the size she yells we can't sell those clothes. They are on the COVID rack. The COVID rack in itself is so stupid. People are picking up and trying on clothes in the middle of the floor but these clothes are different than the rest of them in the store that people are handling. I said I just want to know the size, continues to make a big deal about this. I finally found out the size and it was the size I needed. I asked her to place it on hold and I would come back and pick it up after the 24 hour COVID hold. She refused to and said you can come back in a day or 2 and see if you can find it somewhere. It could be anywhere in the store so basically good luck. I complained about how she was handling the situation and said there is no reason you can't place a hold tag for me. She said we have a bunch of young people working here and they do what they want. We put hold tags on things people pay for and the kids put them on the shelf to sell. I'm like that sounds like a training and management issue. She said went on to talk about how terrible the employees there are when in reality she is the problem. read more

I frequently check in this store because the turnover in their inventory is constantly changing. I love shoes and purses and they usually have a nice selection of unique leather purses as well as designer bags such as Michael Kors, Dooney & Bourke, Ralph Lauren etc. Likewise with the shoes. The only catch is if you wear a 10-11 and you see your size you better grab it because it won't be there tomorrow! Name brands for much less. What's not to love read more

4/5/14 Plenty of parking. The store is located in a shopping center with a few other chain stores. My sister and I went here to find some items for her upcoming maternity shoot and the baby room. The store is like any of these discount stores with everything. We were able to find a few items and check out with no problems. Staff was friendly. read more

The store is usually always stocked. It is not the biggest store but I always find something I like. They have a lot of options for everything. Baby, men, women girls shoes cosmetics. Sometimes it can be a be little messy but I'll work through it! read more
