Moreover, Brent was the first one to respond, and spoke to me on a weekend when no other contractor bothered to respond until the next Monday. On the very first day, Brent showed up to introduce himself to us, and I appreciated his curtesy towards me before any work even started. Our project took three days to complete. One day to set post and cure cement, one day to install frames for the fence and gate, and one day to complete the job. Daniel was there everyday (I believe Brent was there at least two days) working along his crew. They did a fantastic job, and the whole process was efficient and professional. Now I have the best looking fence in the neighborhood. Glad my wife found these guys, will definitely reach out again in the future if I need another fence/gate.

It looked fine but I was waiting for another company to come out before I decided. I replied that I would get back to them the following week. Tuesday the 18th, I emailed saying I wanted them to do the work, but I had a couple of questions. No response to this email. Wednesday the 19th I called the phone number on their website and here -- the phone number that apparently worked just fine when I was trying to get the estimate. No response. Thursday the 20th I called again. No response. I am so baffled by these companies that do not communicate with customers that want to hire them. UPDATE: He did not call me back after "checking his schedule." And why no response to my first phone call the previous day? He also seems to indicate that he received my first email, but not my second. I can post a screen shot of it, Jason, so frankly, I don't believe you. The fact is, you decided my job was too small to bother with, so you thought you would just ghost me. But then posted a response to my first review here within two hours of its appearance! I believe future potential customers should be warned about the lack of courtesy and professionalism. Obviously I have moved on and am looking forward to reviewing your competitor.

Their design and workmanship is excellent, they use top shelf materials, and, thanks in part, I'm sure, to getting on their calendar early in the season, the work was completed in a very timely manner, with no appreciable delays caused by anything but the weather. We got three estimates for the project, and for the first time in our lives, gave the job to the HIGHEST bidder. That is because, in addition to admiring their work elsewhere around Rockwall, owner Zach Simons is the sole point of contact for the estimate process on the entire project. His competitors were like, "Yeah, we can estimate the wood today, then we'll send a stone guy next week, and a gate-design guy the week after that." (Slight exaggeration there.) We were much more comfortable working with a single source for the whole project. Yes, Firehouse charges a premium, but we got what we paid for. Highly recommended.

We had 5 companies come out for bids and after looking at all of their work and reading reviews, we decided to go with Firehouse Fence. Zach was prompt to our first appt and was understanding and flexible on the unknown timeline for installation because of the pool and construction. Once we finally got the okay to proceed with our fence, Zach had us on the schedule within the week. We went with board on board with two 4 & 1/2ft wide gates and a fence surrounding our pool equipment. His guys were efficient, courteous & professional and our fence is beautiful! Highly recommend!
