The facilities are top notch -- but for me, what really sets Matrix apart is the quality of tennis instructors. For years, I played tennis in pain. I'd voiced this concern to coaches at other clubs but none could offer a sustainable solution or precisely diagnose what was causing it. But, Matt at Matrix was able to break down my form and identify the issues. Needless to say, I had some deeply rooted bad habits that needed correction. Through roughly 10 lessons, Matt patiently gave me cues-- one at a time-- so I could focus on fixing that specific element. He listened to my feedback and phrased things in different ways until I understood his recommendations, and could implement them repeatedly. Now, for the first time, I'm playing pain-free, and I've substantially improved my consistency. Life-changing.

(Highly recommend joining one of their leagues or taking lessons... you will have the best time!) But then! I got the tour of The Chilly Dill. Blown away is an understatement. Cryotherapy, warming bed (I don't know the technical term), relaxation area, red light therapy, brain tapping, body sculpting... all the very latest equipment. I can't even believe this is available in Springfield.! Seriously... your physical, mental, and even emotional well-being can find a huge boost with a visit here. I figure my membership will be like a counselor, gym/personal trainer, spa, and sorts therapy all in one place ... and I will actually enjoy it!

We were very impressed with how new and functional all of the equipment is, including cardio and weights. The racquet sports space was awesome for anyone who loves tennis or pickleball. There were multiple swimming pools, one was perfect for family lounging and the other for swimming laps. It would be easy to grab a pickup game of racquetball or basketball there. The dressing rooms had a spa, eucalyptus steam room, and a sauna all included at the basic membership level. It seemed worth the $159 dollar couples price. Adding the tennis/pickleball only costs $30 extra per couple.
