But due to work, I have only been able to take a few classes throughout the years. But I do love the variety of classes that they offer and how constant their schedule is. If you are looking for a Japanese school for your child to attend, they offer that. If you would like to just learn more about the community through the different cultural classes, just sign up for the emails and you can be alerted for upcoming classes that they offer. I've taken amigurumi (crochet), ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), and a cooking class. All of the instructors are great and mostly volunteers. So it just shows you what a great community there is. They have festivals through the year and also help put on the West Covina Cherry Blossom Festival. They also host the West Covina obon at the center but it is organized by the Buddhist church which is based out of the community center. So there is just a lot of activities that you can get involved with.

Major KUDOS to DYLAN, one of the amazing staff members at La Fetra. He was consistently checking the trash cans and making sure they weren't over flowing or beginning to look messy. We really appreciate how helpful he was during the whole event. The gentleman was really easy going and nice to all our guests. Not to mention, he worse his mask the ENTIRE event (set up and clean up) and stayed 6ft away at all times! You rock Dylan! Also, special thanks to SHERYL RYAN was our direct point of contact and she made the planning process easy. It was so stressful planning this even but Sheryl reassured us and answered all our questions about the venue and was very transparent with everything overall. Amenities: *Parking: there are about 5 parking spots right behind the venue (in the back facing the baseball field) that allow easy access from the cars to the venue. For example, if you have to bring decor in or other heavy things you cannot carry a long distance. This side parking made it very convenient to clean up the decorations and load cars with the gifts. Also, there is a small parking lot right across the street, just a few feet away from the center. The parking lot was able to accommodate all cars of the guests and no one really had to park on the street. As someone who dislikes street parking with a passion, this was a major plus! *The bathrooms were clean and spacious. There were plenty of stalls and no one had to wait in line (not even the ladies!) *There is a big wide window that overlooks the baseball field and the scenery is so calming and nice to look at. It makes me miss when I used to live nearby in Azusa. Now, time to convince my mom to let me have my graduation party here!

Needed to make a visit to BP City Hall to obtain a repair permit. After completing the required…read morepaperwork I was informed that I had to pay for the permit with exact amount - I was planning to pay cash but I didn't have the EXACT amount for the permit. I had to pay for the permit with my C.C and I was charged $ 4.00 extra for use of my C.C. I informed the employee that this office needs to place a notice regarding exact payments are required. The City of BP just earned an extra $4.00 today. The city employees don't really care about serving the people of BP.

I requested to view the old building permits for a property and stood waiting for about 10-15…read moreminutes. It only takes about 2 minutes to get the file. I can deal with that wait though. What happened next is what annoyed me. These days most people will take a photo with their iPhone of the permit they need to copy. That method is fast and free. Except this city prohibits any photo taking of documents so they can make money off you and waste your time. Really stupid because government is there to serve its citizens, not annoy and make life harder.

The space is huge, but changing rooms are tiny (see pic) and you cannot shower here because water is a spray/misty type and it shoots out so common area gets wet and become hazardous. All said, I'm glad I found this pool and won't have to drive to Rosemead Aquatics for my weekend swims. I'll come back and will just put on my clothes over wet swimsuits, cover my car seat with a tarp, and just drive home!

The clerk was very efficient and kind. I forgot to bring a copy of my husbands' ID and she waited for him to text it to me. Once you have your passport and start to travel, send them a postcard and they will display it in the office.

We filed my 11 year old son's passport application at the Monrovia Community Center's passport…read moreservice. If you are a first time applicant or are doing it for a minor, you have to go in person to authorized location. Most of these are the post office ... and well, you know all about service at the post office. We were procrastinators in renewing his passport and this location was relatively easy to get an appointment with and not many weeks in the future. The lady who processes passports -- sorry, I don't remember he name -- was helpful and efficient. We were out of there in less than 10 minutes. We've done this multiple times as post office locations in different California cities and this is by far the best place we've been to. We paid for the fastest service with the US State Department and received the new passport at our house 12 calendar days from when we filed the paperwork. Thanks to the City of Monrovia for this great service!
