He let us take our time picking the car we needed, talked us through all of the processes; even allowed several test drives; and let us look through the car's mechanics as much as we felt we needed. Everyone was very friendly while we were there and the down payment was very fair. TJ explained all of our paperwork and let us ask any questions before we signed the dotted line. About a week after we signed the papers we were about to head out of town when the transmission went out. We called him and he said to take it to one of his mechanics. We slowly got it there and they started to do their scans and look through the systems. We had to leave the car with them due to our scheduling, but TJ made sure we knew everything that was happening with the car. They were able to find a new transmission that worked and we were able to pick up the car and take it back with us. At one point we did fall behind on a few payments, and TJ was very understanding with the situation just a very kind person all around, we've never had that dealing with other car lots. And before we knew it we made our final payment on the car! It didn't even take a year! The car is still running amazingly and we are very happy with it. We would recommend this business to anyone and we would probably go back for another car as well! Thank you TJ and Dublin Auto for everything!

If You Love Rollercoasters, Delays, and Paying for the Same Repair Twice... Look No Further Than…read moreDublin Chevrolet! Ah, Dublin Chevrolet. Where dreams go to idle in the service bay. Let me set the stage: It was May of last year when my transmission started acting like it was auditioning for Fast & Furious: Limp Mode Edition. So, being the proactive and responsible truck owner that I am, I brought it in. Their advice? "Yeah, we've seen this before. Try changing the transmission fluid and drive around like everything's fine for 500 miles." Spoiler alert: that didn't work. Shocking, I know. Next up: "You do need a new transmission... but we don't have any. Not until December." Because what's seven months of slipping gears between friends, right? But wait, there's more! They highly recommended a third-party rebuild with a "100,000-mile warranty" (heavy air quotes there). So I said sure, why not? What followed was an Olympic relay of transmission swaps. Four of them. Yes, FOUR. I'd pick up my truck, drive it, and within days, we'd be back on our regularly scheduled programming of Return to the Dealership: Part 17. Video requests? Check. Test drives with mechanics? Check. Loaner car? Oh, you sweet summer child--of course not! Why offer a loaner when I can just enjoy the walking lifestyle and donate my savings to the Dublin Transmission Charitable Fund? And after transmission #4 coughed its last gear, I said enough. I asked for a real GM transmission, which now became available. Their response? The third-party rebuilder would graciously refund half. HALF! And the dealership? They'd chip in a whopping $600. That left me only about $2,000 short of a functioning truck--again. Generous! Also, midway through this comedy of errors, I was told I'd need to pay to remove the defective transmission they had recommended. Because nothing says customer service like, "Hey, this didn't work, and now it's your problem." Now, a year and two months later--count 'em, 14 months, 4 transmissions, over $8,000, and a blood pressure medication prescription later--I finally have my truck back. Does it run? Yes. Do I trust it? About as much as I trust the Wi-Fi at a campground. In summary: if you're looking for a place to test your patience, drain your wallet, and give you a crash course in the transmission aftermarket circus, Dublin Chevrolet is the ride for you. Bonus points if you enjoy the sensation of being gaslit and upcharged simultaneously. Would I recommend Dublin Chevrolet? Only if you've run out of hobbies and want a new part-time job managing your own warranty claim. Drive safe. Or at least, try to.
