So... I'm not gonna lie, I came here for the trendy factor after seeing all the pictures. I had someone visiting and wanted to do something different. The food was good, but it did not blow my mind. Maybe I shouldn't have read quite so many reviews... it raised the expectations a lot. We ordered the signature dish: Duck & Waffle for the main dish and the cornbread as an appetizer. The portions were good and the everything was very flavorful- I mean, you can't really go wrong when you put maple syrup on anything. The waiter must not have been very impressed by the fact that we didn't order drinks beyond water (for which they charged us even though it was from the tap), because he made a face and was very inattentive to the point of forgetting to bring us the requested dessert menu at the end. Lol. All in all, it was one of those things you do to check off the bucket list. The food was yum, the service could have been better. The experience wasn't terrible, but I don't think I'll be coming back. Some things to keep in mind when you come: - This place is by reservation only (including the bar area) - You cannot cancel your reservation once it is done - The deposit you paid for your reservation (£20 per person) will be credited to you bill, but if you spent less, they will not refund any of it. - The bar is very loud. If you want to be able to carry on a conversation with the people you are with, make reservations is the restaurant area. - The bar and the right side of the restaurant has the best view

The food was delicious and the views were stunning! I had the Duck & Waffle; she had the Shakshouka. The Porridge was good too.

    Wall of pictures is great!

The Carbonara was amazing!!! The staff was pleasant and the atmosphere feels like your in Italy.

One of the quick and great meals we had in London was at Duck and Waffle, what a great concept?!! The interior is modern rustic and very inviting, the staff was super friendly, professional, attentive and helpful. The food was absolutely delightful and the waffles were perfect and crispy. The duck was crispy and tasty on top of the waffles. The good grad appetizer was just perfect to split between the two of us. Will definitely go back again.

Duck and waffle. 5 full stars for: Atmosphere - Modern Industrial and rustic. Plenty of seating. Comfortable chairs. Bar is big and center of attention. Food - I had ordered the Duck Burger and followed up with the duck and waffle.

I am a BIG fan of duck and Duck & Waffle really hit it out of the ball park for me. Back home in the U.S we are used to the Chinese Peking Duck and more traditional French duck dishes. When i saw this place on yelp my mind was completely blown. Duck & Waffle (5/5) Duck Confit over a perfectly cooked waffle and some sort of homemade maple syrup topped with a sunny side duck egg. Must get!! Duck was tender, almost fall off the bone and the runny egg was heaven since it helps offset some of the saltiness from the duck. Duck Fries (5/5) This was a first trying duck fries when I was here in June. Fried in duck fat, the fries had great texture and was perfect all on its own without any ketchup or sauces. Foie Gras Creme Brûlée (5/5) This was the dish I was crazyyyy about. I mean come on!! Creme Brûlée from Foie Gras?! So buttery and savory with a hint of the sugar, served with a buttry Roll topped with something i forget. This dish is genius and I wish they had this in San Francisco.... I still miss it til this day. Overall, MUST TRY in London. Service was spot on and servers are pretty tentative in filling your drinks and taking your plates away.

Traveled to London with 2 friends and I had this place bookmarked as a must eat because I love ducks. I've only heard of chicken of waffles, so duck and waffle was a must. We ordered 4 things: Vietnamese salad with crispy duck: The skin was crispy and duck was juicy and tender. The salad itself was phenomenal. It was very refreshing. I would definitely order it in the summer while sitting on the patio. It was definitely worth the extra $4 for the duck in my opinion. Duck and waffle: The waffle was very soft and chewy and the maple syrup wasn't super sweet. The duck's skin was crispy which was good, but the meat itself was dry. The duck was overcooked, so it was hard to chew. The egg on top made the overall dish look nice. I stacked the duck, egg, and waffle together then dipped it into syrup so that I was able to taste the whole dish itself in one bite. Dry fried duck tongues: I've had duck tongues before, so I thought dry fried was an interesting way of making them. My friends and I thought the dish was way too salty. It wasn't dry at all and I think it's probably because of the sauce which made it wet and not so much fried even though it was really oily. Duck fat fries: It was so fatty and tasty. It came with ketchup and I think the white sauce was mayo. I love fries in general and I don't think it's possible to mess up fries. I'll definitely order fries again.

I came in on a Friday around 11. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant so the service was good. I ordered the duck and waffle as it is their sisters dish. The duck was cooked to a wonderful crisp outside and tender inside. It balanced well with the seasoned maple syrup. For the price point (£18), my only thing would be if the dish came with a small salad. Otherwise would recommend!

We came to Duck & Waffle for brunch, as it was highly recommended by one of our friends. We were not disappointed. The food was great! We ordered the Duck & Waffle (confit leg, fried duck egg, with maple syrup) and the Colombian eggs (with avocado, tomato, onion) with smoked salmon. Both dishes were delicious. I was a bit skeptical on the Duck & Waffle at first as one of my favorite brunch dishes is Chicken & Waffles. However, the duck with the egg and maple syrup were the perfect combination. Both sweet and savory, but not overpowering one another. The egg dish was cooked perfectly and the smoked salmon was divine. If ever in London again, I'll be back at Duck & Waffle.

I love the original Duck & Waffle so I was really excited for the casual version. Located just away from the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly, the feel of the restaurant was great but it was surprisingly empty for a Saturday evening. We enjoyed the food but the service was a bit lacking. fried duck gizzard twice cooked pork bao picked greens, cucumber chilli & peanut the duck burger crispy duck leg, crushed noodles, miso mayonnaise & spiced slaw vietnamese vegetable salad mint, coriander, nuoc cham dressing + crispy duck

I'm actually starting this review from the restaurant, where I've been sitting at my table, waiting for ketchup, for about thirty minutes without anyone stopping by to check on me. I long ago finished the duck and waffle, but the only people being waited on are men or groups of two or more (the two guys next to me have ordered, received, and finished their desserts while I've been sitting here and they are now paying their check...hmmm). This is all quite disappointing because I was so looking forward to this lunch. The food has been good. Everything is crispy here, particularly the duck and fries. The closest I've had to this meal previously is chicken and waffles at the now shuttered M3 in Cambridge, Massachusetts and duck poutine at St. James Brasserie in Reno, Nevada. My husband is a big fan of crispy fries, while I'm partial to the softer ones (drenched in fat). Since D&W's version is scrape-up-your-mouth crispy, I took one bite and knew I would need a condiment to help them go down (mayo, ketchup, anything). Trouble was, no one bothered coming over to check on me when the fries were still hot, even though I was sitting immediately adjacent to two other tables that were being waited on. The worst part was when a couple sat next to me, I overheard the server ask if they wanted ketchup with their fries! I think the problem may have stemmed from confusion among the staff as to who was responsible for me. When I arrived, I checked in at the front desk, noting that I'd made a reservation. As others have noted, weekday lunch reservations are not necessary, even if you're heading to a matinee show, like I was. The hostess/server (Eirini?) seemed annoyed that my reservation had been for two people but it ended up being just me. I was several minutes early, so I opted to check out the ladies room downstairs before being seated (it's nice, though one bottle of soap is mislabeled "lotion"). When I returned, she sat me at a table near the front between the open kitchen and bar. In hindsight, since it was just me, I probably should have just sat at the bar, particularly because the bartender looked a lot friendlier than the wait staff and because people at the bar were actually being attended to, unlike me. The woman who sat me was not the woman who took my order, as expected, but the woman who took my order (Dominika?), though friendly enough, was MIA the rest of the time except for when the hostess brought me the check and walked away. Only then did my order taker reappear to close the check. She had been a good saleswoman, offering me drinks when I said I would just have water (I would have ordered beer, but the menu made it look like I could only order beer for four people). When she mentioned juice, I asked if they had anything fresh squeezed and they did--grapefruit, orange, and apple. Apple sounded nice, so I went with that and wasn't disappointed expect it was all ice (I thought Londoners didn't put ice in their drinks?). I did eventually get that ketchup, but by that time, the fries were cold and I wasn't really in the mood for them. I picked through them for the bigger ones, trying to avoid the sad little ones, too small to really count as proper fries (see photo). I've worked in food service for several years and this sort of poor service is common and expected in the States because waiters know a table for one won't garner a huge tip. I'm little surprised that our transatlantic friends treat a table for one the same.

We had reservations for the duck and waffle that was on the 40th floor but we weren't aware that kids under 21 were not allowed(my brother is still a teenager, hence why we weren't able to go to that location). We opted for this location instead. The wait staff were very welcoming and were friendly. Really wanted the creme brulee'd foie gras but they ran out of foie gras! Was utterly disappointed but I will be back for this. My mother and I split our dishes so we could try out the two popular dishes. Duck burger with ramen: duck, overall, had a nice savory flavor. I love how the skin was slightly crispy with the right amount of duck fat under. Delightful combo. Ramen kind of through the whole burger off. Was it really necessary to include it in the dish? Duck and waffles: I am a sucker for chicken and waffles but duck and waffles? Game changer. It's an upgrade by far. Duck is tender in both dishes. I love the maple syrup that they provide with your duck and waffles. Sweet but not overpowering. Pour it on the duck to get that pop of flavor of sweet and salty. Lovely combo. Duck neck: I can do without this dish. It was way too salty to peak my interest. Had one bite and I couldn't have another bite.

We had made reservations for lunch but once we got there, the restaurant had plenty of seating and there didn't seem to be a wait. This location is also across the street from Dover Street Market and about a block away from Chinatown. We had the duck burger, duck and waffle, and foie gras creme brûlée. The duck burger, as other reviewers have mentioned, was really moist. The sauce was yummy and the dill in particular helps cut the fattiness of the duck. The foie gras creme brûlée was delicious but the single(!) dry piece of bread it comes with does it no justice at all. It would've been better off with some crackers or just more of anything to spread the delicious foie gras.

    The gang's all here!

This waffle place looks pretty tempting with fresh waffles being made on the waffle makers in front of you, and the displays of chicken + waffles, waffles + berries, and a few other interesting looking combinations. The waffles and toppings were fine, but you can get similar elsewhere, so unless you're a huge waffle fiend or you're craving waffles, I'd get something more unique that's harder to find in most places. The waffle we got was fresh and slightly crisp on the outside and a little chewy inside, and it was fresh. The berries and the chocolate sauce and honey on top were good, and the greek yogurt was a nice alternative to whipped cream. It was good but not amazing and it was little on the expensive side. If you have a waffle iron at home and berries at home, you can probably make something similar at home. Get a flavor that you can't recreate at home or skip this altogether and get something else at Maltby Market.

True masters of their craft, each element of the dish was absolute perfection, the waffle was just right, slightly chewy with just enough crust. The bacon- glorious American style bacon, smokey and peppery. Real maple syrup drizzled over the top and the biodynamic egg, a simple fried egg, but done amazingly to top off the dish. With a menu full of inventive waffles with ingredients like duck, figs, and goats cheese- I can't wait to try another fantastic waffle creation!
