Worst experience I've ever had at a duck donuts. I placed my order at 8:20 and went to stand outside (as they are making people do that currently). It's about 94 degrees outside. I asked the man at the door who was bringing out orders to check on my order 3 times and he said "I'm sorry, it'll just be a minute". Well when 9 am rolled around, I asked that he locate my order please. It turns out my order was sitting on the counter for over 20 minutes with no number on it, and the man at the door didn't try to locate whos order it was. Then he brought it outside and set it on top of a TRASH CAN to close the lid after verifying it was mine. The donuts went in the trash because they were 1) soggy and 2) set on top of a trash can. DO NOT go to this location. Update: the manager reached out and spoke with me and offered to give us new donuts and some merch. He didn't have to do that, but we appreciated it tons. While in a big fan of Stu's donuts, I had to try the famed Dick Donuts. Very tasty cakes donut but the guy creating our order messed up my topping. Pay attention bro! It wasn't a busy day either -maybe three other customers in there. Overall the space is nice, the location is killer and the donuts were tasty. Reading the reviews here, it's pretty obvious that you should not expect to get your donuts quickly. Here is my experience. Duck Donuts makes your donuts made to order. There is no food premade, as far as I can tell. All donuts are cake donuts. I got to Duck Donuts right when they opened at 6:30. There was already two people waiting before me. First person ordered two dozen assorted. The second person ordered two dozen assorted. I ordered six assorted, a breakfast sandwich, and a coffee. The coffee was self-service. The breakfast sandwich was ready in five minutes. And then the wait started. Meanwhile, my sandwich and coffee was getting colder. Much later, the first person in line got their couple dozen. A short time later, I got my half dozen. The second person in line did not get their couple dozen while I was there. It was 7:05 when I got my donuts. Six donuts, a sausage egg and cheese sandwich, and a medium coffee was $16, and the wait was just about thirty minutes. The food was pretty good. So when you read the reviews that say you can't just drop into Duck Donuts and pick up a quick dozen, you should know that it's not impossible that your donuts could take over a half hour, even when there aren't a lot of people in line. So good. Super fresh donuts made to order. Smells like funnel cakes while waiting outside. We ordered ahead which I highly recommend. Even if you make your time at say 8 am, most likely they won't be ready till 8:15 or so so no need to arrive early. The people who were walking in had about an hour wait after placing their orders however the lady by the door was super nice and telling people she'd look out for their orders and told them they could go home or run some errands or whatever during the time. 22.50 is a bit pricey for a dozen but dang tasty. read more

I love a good cake donut and this has got to be the best I've had. I don't love the big fluffy yeast type donuts, but a good ole dense cake donut, speaks to my soul. Usually have good experiences with Duck Donuts at other locations. This was our first time ordering from the Avon location. We ordered online and went to pick it up and didn't realize till we got home that two of our donuts weren't what we asked for at all. We verified on the receipt that we did in fact order the correct ones and they somehow gave us two totally wrong donuts. We drove twenty minutes each way to pick them up so we weren't able to just go back and get new ones. Great experience, Heard about them but never had them. Purchased a 1/2 dozen and watched them make them. Two maple bacon and apple strudel and were delicious. The donuts are a cake vanilla and base. They held up over two days which when you buy regular donuts at say Dunkin they don't last . I certainly will be back to try other ones. read more
