Second time visiting - scones and muffins are okay- they're good but nothing special. Latte was okay but nothing great. Owner who seems nice, annoyed me by telling me no outside drinks in reference to my half drank small Poland spring water after I just spent $50 on breakfast..... that attitude pisses me off. Gave me a blueberry muffin instead of chocolate chip- no biggie- except they put the muffin back in the case for another customer after I had already handled in . Coffee was ok. The muffins are next level! I have the chocolate chip muffin. It was dense but soft and moist. not rich and full of flavor! There is so much to choose from too! Not terribly pricey either. Def worth a visit! read more

Rudest Staff I've ever dealt with. I ordered 2 sausage, egg and cheese croissants, and an iced coffee. Terrible coffee considering it's like $8-$9 or something close to that. I couldn't even drink it because I'm deathly allergic to coconut, and they couldn't tell me what milk they put in it. And then they give me a bag for my sandwiches, so I go outside to my car to leave, and as I'm backing away they come running and yelling at me, so I get out, they tell me that they gave me the wrong bag, so they give me another bag and take the first one they gave me. I noticed there's only 1 sandwich in the bag, so I tell them that I wanted 2 sandwiches. I literally even said I will pay for another sandwich if they both didn't get added to my order. So I go inside, and the girl proceeds to go behind the counter talking bad about me, and I go up there and I said I will pay for the other sandwich, I just want 2 sandwiches. Another person proceeded to come over and yell at me in front of the whole store that I only paid for 1 and literally was like "let me explain something to you, on this receipt it says you only paid for one, so you're only getting 1 sandwich" I literally started crying and said I would pay for the other one I just wanted 2 sandwiches. I paid for my other sandwich and left after I got it. Overall terrible experience. Literally bawled my eyes out in the parking lot. I explained to 4 different people I would pay for the other sandwich I just needed 2, to get yelled at and spoke to rudely when I was nice the entire time. Russian man at the counter was very rude. He tried to tell me the woman at the cash register gave me my muffin when she did not. He made a scene by arguing and was embarrassing me because I am soft spoken. I have a hard time speaking. 0/10 customer service experience. Beagle was good, coffee was unsweet and bitter. read more

First day of any vacation is the best, and a trip for bagels and scones makes any first- day breakfast- albeit, after the US women got booted from the World Cup earlier in the morning- better. With the exception of a shortage of french-toast bagels, the $19 for a dozen made some excellent bagel sandwiches at home for the family. Add a few scones and my cup of coffee, and it was excellent. Would love to try some of the intriguing bagel sandwich combinations later in the week. Excellent offerings, but minus a star for price. read more

Just stopped by here on our way out of town. We were in Hatteras Village for a bit and wanted some breakfast on the way home. The food was GREAT and the coffee flavors were creative and so delicious!! Juan helped us out and he was so kind! It looked clean and lovely in there-- had some great jazz music playing. We paid $40 per 2 coffee , 2muffins and 2 bacon,egg&cheese . It's a lot. Especially more than $10 per one bagel But everything was horrible. Muffins was wet . Seems like someone spilled water on it. And our sandwiches i got a ton of eggshell on my egg. What is gross as there is a ton of bacterias on top of the eggshell. We asked for ketchup they gave us expired ketchup. Tiny bags was puffed up and when we opened it was really bad. My husband asked for good one they said they do not have it. The prices is really high but nothing worst the money you pay. Im really shocked. I was left without breakfast today. We are from Stamford.CT it's not a village it's city where prices is high but even there you can get perfect breakfast for cheaper. Nice little breakfast spot with tasty treats. We stopped in here with my parents while we were staying in Avon. We usually eat that meal at home, but decided to go out for a morning treat one of the days. We were here in mid-May, not quite the peak season. We try to beat the crowds, so we came around 8 am and it was fairly quiet. If you are here in the peak season, I'd recommend coming early too. They have a nice assortment of pastries, bagels, cookies, cakes, brownies, coffee drinks, breakfast sandwiches and more. We all enjoyed our breakfast and grabbed a bakery item for later on. I opted for a toasted blueberry bagel with butter and a fancy coffee drink, both were good. Interior is cozy. There are a few couches, but also tables. Ordered sausage, egg and cheese bagels which were really good. Tried their cinnamon rolls, apple turnovers (had only a few diced apples in it) and they were both very dry and stale. I love this cafe for its variety of breakfast items and it's super comfortable indoor seating area. If you are in Hatteras for vacay, but also need a place to work, this is the spot to bring your laptop. They have reliable wifi and plenty of couches, tables, and outlets. Very Good! I spent probably more than I should have here but oh so worth it. Very good! I purchased the Island Paradise smoothie which was good but a lil to watered down. The pastries.....Peach Tart, Strawberry Puff and Nutella Danish. The pastries were delicious! I would definitely make time to stop in and grab a bite to eat. Rye bagels in the middle of nowhere! We stopped off on the way to see a local lighthouse. The space inside is large and clean. The coffee was excellent. The muffins were delicious. The two things that impressed us were the number of gluten-free options (for my wife) and that they had rye bagels. Rye bagels are rare these days and something I seek out. Currently, my only reliable source is a good friend who makes monthly trips to Detroit and always brings a sack of them back with her. Now she has the option of driving to the far end of Cape Hatteras instead. Seriously, there's no shortage of mediocre food on the cape, and this place is an outstanding option if you want something nice for breakfast. read more

Always have to grab a lox bagel from here at least once every time I come to Avon. I dunno what it is about their bagels, but the texture is so perfect. Soft and chewy at the same time, I dunno. The fresh dill is such a nice touch. I wish my place back home did that. The pastries are huge. My wife did say that she wished the cinnamon bun had more icing. I wouldn't know bc I'm stuck on Nessie. Service is great. There's always someone really nice up front who can walk you through whatever if you're new and overwhelmed. The ambiance is nice as well.
