I'm so happy we brought my almost 2-year-old here for his first dental check up and cleaning. It…read morewas a fun experience for him and left his teeth sparkling clean. We hyped up the idea of going to the dentist, starting a couple weeks before the visit, and telling him that brushing his teeth at home was the way he'd end up getting a balloon at the dentist's office. The waiting room is filled with exactly the kinds of toys he loves, so he was instantly happy to be there. The dental hygenist was very friendly and sweet, helping him settle in to the big chair while explaining to us some basic concepts of healthy diet and how it affects teeth. We don't have a TV and don't allow screens but they brilliantly have a projector above the chair - so I'm not sure if this would be as enchanting for a kid who is used to TV but for our son, he was fascinated. It distracted him enough throughout the visit so there was no fuss, no resistance...full cooperation as his teeth were counted. The dentist and hygienist both sing as they're doing different procedures. They let him feel the electronic tooth polisher on his finger before polishing his teeth. I'm so glad we started him early and hope we can continue to keep on top of his dental hygiene. I highly recommend you bring your young child(ren) here.

Good dentist, but hold on to your wallet! I was quoted over the phone $90 to re-cement a crown…read more When I checked out, the bill was $145, inc. $75 for a "Limited oral evaluation" (which meant he poked around in my mouth for 90 seconds before putting the crown back in). Now, doesn't he always do that when re-cementing a crown? So why wasn't I just quoted that price? On the way out, I was also quoted a price of $319 for a cleaning (!?). This included the "full mouth x-rays", which I was told are MANDATORY. For anyone who doesn't know, this are x-rays of EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL TOOTH, not the "bite wing" x-rays that most dentists give. For anyone who doesn't know, almost no one needs x-rays of EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL TOOTH, unless there's something going horribly wrong in your entire mouth, but I know there are some dentists out there who try to force it on people. Oh, & he'd already told me that my teeth looked fine (which I pretty much knew, being obsessive about home dental care), so why should I be forced to have x-rays of EVERY SINGLE TOOTH??? Sorry if I'm ranting, but $319 for a cleaning?? That includes stuff you don't need, or want? And you don't have a choice????!

I received an e-mail on Monday reminding me of my dental appointment with Dr. Hadar for Wednesday…read moreat 2 pm. I double checked my calendar and sure enough I already had it in there. Yesterday (Tuesday) I get a voice mail from Shannon saying "His this is Shannon calling from Dr. Hadar's office confirming your appointment at 3 and 3:30 for (mumble mumble)." I listen to the voice mail 4 times and ask colleagues to interpret the 'mumble mumble' but to no avail. I call Shannon back saying I'm calling to verify this 3 pm appointment. Me: Hi just calling to verify this appointment is at 3 and not at 2? Shannon: No it's at 3 pm. Me: Are you sure, b/c my calendar says 2 and e-mail says 2, but you're saying 3. Shannon: No it's 3, that's strange. I don't know why the system is doing that. Me: What is this appointment at 3:30 for again, I don't remember. Shannon: Oh that's for *mumble mumble*. Me: Excuse me? Shannon: Hold. (time passes) Shannon: Disregard that, you're set for 3 tomorrow. Me: You sure about that? Shannon: Yep. Me: Ok... So it's Wednesday and the phone rings at 2:22. Me: Hello? Woman: Hi this is ___ from Dr. Haddar's office you had an appointment today at 2. (I don't remember her name because at this point I lose it) Me: Are you fucking kidding me? Her: Sir? Me: Are you fucking serious? I had this appointment in my calendar for 2, your computer e-mailed me for 2 and the person yesterday said it was at 3. Her: It's ok you can still... Me: NO! What the fuck? I asked her three fucking times if she was sure it's at 3 and she said yes. Her: But.. Me: I'm not putting up with this bullshit anymore. *I hang up* Nobody ever called me back and I'm still wondering what the mumble mumble was.

My baby had to undergo extreme torture to correct all the cavities they told me didn't exist for 5 yrs. I took her there from gums to 5yrs old. When she started grinding her teeth. We then found out they were NOT a pediatric dentist office. They lied to me for 5 yrs!! The new dentist was amazing, but all in the room holding back tears as they had to address the negligence from the previous dentist office. As for me, they filled my cavities and when I told them my bite was not matching up she just randomly started drilling teeth, rolling her eyes to just shut me up . Obviously this did not fix the problem and seven years later. I finally have been able to find a Dentist who was willing to try after the disaster she had made.. for seven years. I've been grinding my teeth in order to eat to chew! The Icon Dentist made me get a mouthguard which only aggravated my TMJ and put me out hundreds of dollars. I honestly should sue them and M thinking about it since it's been about seven years and my daughter and I are still struggling from the negligence and lies that these so-called dentists dished out!

Trying every which way to find another benefit code they could use to pay for things. But all the communications stopped after tapping out my dental benefits it all stopped. I felt like just a piggy bank for them. Don't go to Dr. Nishimura if you want a dentist that listens, truly listens to your concerns. She'll patronize you and and be dismissive and do what she wants anyways despite your concerns. But it's worse than bed side manor. I stopped going after she left my teeth in worse condition than when I started. I went to two other dentists since then and both told me it would cost over $20K in braces and other dental work to fix it. I have been so bummed about dentist and afraid to go to any more. Run, don't walk, from this place. You have been warned.

He conducts an assessment and asks questions to determine the patient's overall health. He reviews my facial anatomy to determine indicators which would impact my quality of sleep. He asks if I had respiratory issues... I learned I had jaw anatomy and TMJ issues... the level of care is nothing I ever experienced and I have been on this earth for many many years. Ultimately, I was diagnosed and was given an oral appliance. This appliance alleviated my sleep issues significantly and for the first time in a decade- I was able to sleep well and breathe. Doc also gave me advice which reduced my inflammation and helped me get off allergy meds. Throughout my visits, the team has been very attentive to all my medical concerns
