Buck's Island really pleased us with a great pontoon and trailer at a wonderful price.More than…read morethat they proved what a quality place they really are.We drove from Indianapolis area all the way to Buck's Island because they had an 8 year old pontoon with only 267 hours with a 90 HP Mercury and a trailer all in excellent condition for only$16,999.We went on a 20 minute test drive and everything checked out.On the way home we stopped in Kentucky to fill the boat gas tank.Upon launching it ran for a couple of minutes,then died and wouldn't start.I called Patrick,our salesman,who got a mechanic to walk me through a few things ,it would crank but not start.Patrick assured me everything would be OK.We took it to a local marina(A and E Marine)who found water and sediment in the fuel.The entire fuel system needed a flush plus a fuel module to the tune of $2100.Without hesitation Buck's Island paid the bill.Hours later it is perfect.I am so impressed with how they stood behind their 30 day engine warranty on an 8 year old boat.They could have tried to squirm out of their responsibility by blaming the fuel I put in but didn't. Apparently the boat must have been sitting and the better fuel was a level in the tank when we test drove and the contaminated fuel wasn't apparent until it got stirred up.Buck's Island also had performed a 300 hour service before we left.They stood behind what they sold.I will drive there again when I need another boat .Mark Hanna.

Then, one guy had the gull to suggest they "thought maybe they were our pets". That was degrading! Plus, if we were keeping animals in our engine and van compartments (just gross) that would be considered animal abuse! We had to pay extra for our computer wires getting chewed up while it was there, too! When we got in the van, the dash, seats and carpets were covered in rat poop and the battery was dead! When we got home, we opened the doors and a rat literally ran from the engine, through the door jamb, and almost up my husbands leg before he beat it back! We NEVER had ANY of these issues before! We put rat repellant oil in the engine area, moth balls throughout and kept the hood up during daylight to drive out the new ecosysten! Going to church, I smelled like mothballs, I'm sure!!! it was horrible and embarrassing! However, we are finally back to being the lone occupants of our van. So, I just called and talked to Shane to suggest that they treat the back fence line, where they had our van parked, treated for rats, to keep this from happening to any of their other customers. Instead of apologizing and accepting my suggestion, he wanted to argue. So, I also pointed out that they should also refrain from saying things to customers like they thought they kept rats and snakes in their vehicles! He said he didn't know anyone said that, but he was right there as they were all telling us about it and he was working up the additions to our bill. Like I said, they do great work. Unfortunately, it looks like we will be looking elsewhere for a garage that won't send rats home in our vehicle, nor cause additional damages from their infestations that we have to pay for.

Vehicle was not cleaned up to standards for delivery to a new customer. Had three days for proper pre-delivery preps. Got word veh had departed svc dept for delivery to me without an air filter installed. Then the last straw was my down payment check had been drafted by the Accounting Dept to my bank twice. My account was handed over to the fraud investigation dept at my bank and they handled everything otherwise Freedom power sports was going to take forever to return my funds due. I realize no intention was made to defraud but with all the other negative issues I had to endure this part of the experience was not great. The last thing Noone from the dealership called to apologize or offer a gift card to a nice place to dine or anything. Good customer relations. I have been waiting three days now from a request to speak with the General Mgt. Deal is done. No more concern for customer follow up. Enjoying my vehicles now but would have hard time recommending to my friends in need of a unit from there.

I am big on customer service so I feel like I'm often hard to please in that way but David and Joey blew me away. I will refer any and everybody I can to Sand Mountain. I was going to try to find a dealer closer to me for service but I honestly think I'll just have to take the drive because Sand Mountain seems to be run so much better than any dealer I have been to.
