Power yoga is a beautiful and challenging fusion of isometric exercise, core strengthening and balance. The temperature in the studio is more manageable than a Bikram workout with all of the same benefits. It is the first yoga experience that didn't feel like a huge waste of time. After the first couple of weeks I saw definite results in my overall tone and body shape. The power yoga practice Jayne and York have introduced into the Bedford community is a showstopper! The studio space isn't particularly huge (one open room that can fit 10-20 yogis), but I typically like smaller settings better anyway. The instructor's name was Tina, and she was awesome! She made my friend and I feel super welcomed from the get go. She asked if we had any injuries she should be aware of, which we very much appreciated. Also, the class was a good size, but she still took the time to ask if anyone wanted I work on anything in specific. Her class was a Yoga Flow class... perfect mix of sweat and stretch!
