Absolutely terrible communication and unprofessional women in the office! I made an APPOINTMENT for a noon septic cleaning. I call at 130pm because i didn't get any window of service, the women on the line couldn't give me an answer and sad she will call me back to update me. I wait another hour with no call back so i call again...she apologized and said it was a busy day( ok fine i get be reasonable with that) eventually said "before 4pm"...ps they close at 4. So i call again at 330pm to see if anyone has been dispatched to me. She THEN tells me they had a lot of emergencies and to reschedule. As I'm expressing how frustrating this is, a women in the back who I'm assuming thought i wouldn't be able to hear her says "she should know better it's a Monday" like excuseeeeee me how RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! Service was good, but the pricing felt misleading. Our 1,250‑gallon septic tank was already dug up and exposed, ready for pumping. The day before the appointment, I called several companies for quotes and chose Duck Pumping because they offered the best price. Dana quoted me $470 to pump and clean the tank, with no mention of any additional charges. After the work was completed, the technician presented a bill for $585. When I called to ask about the difference, Dana explained that the quote was actually $470 per 1,000 gallons--something that was never communicated during the initial call. Had that been made clear upfront, the higher cost wouldn't have come as a surprise. The technician did quality work, but the lack of transparency in the quoting process was disappointing. read more

Contacted this company because of a referral. Spoke with Erny extensively about my set up and even provided photos. We even exchanged text messages, so photos AND words were clarified in text. Both septic lids are concrete and buried. I had one dug up. I asked if the second one needs to be dug up also and was not told it needed to be. Worker arrives and tells me the second needs to be dug up. I told him I would dig it up. He said "no, don't worry about it. I got". I even said it again, because I had no problem digging it up, especially since it had debris buried around it from previous owners. He again said "no, no, I got it". No additional fee discussed. Upon finishing, the worker could not get lid level and positioned snuggly to avoid gaps. We thought rocks were preventing it. He could barely lift it to adjust the lid, because all he had was a large crow bar (lid is about 200lbs). He then starts complaining about having a bad back and he couldn't keep trying to adjust, so I stepped in and even got my husband involved. We BOTH have bad backs from previous injuries (mine as early as 3 weeks ago). We couldn't get the lid adjusted and I got pretty upset that the company would send someone with an injury to do this job that requires heavy lifting and WITHOUT proper equipment. No one should have to lift 200lbs. These tanks are about 2' below ground, so there is no way to not strain your back. When it came to settling up, the worker wanted to charge me for the dig up. I contacted Erny and he basically said it's my fault, even though I provided all the information before the job was agreed upon. When I told him the worker did not want me to dig it up, that he would do it (without mentioning an additional charge), he gave me a chauvinistic response "your husband wouldn't let you dig it, so why would we?". (I'm the laborer of this family, so that's pretty dang offensive) Erny was kind when I hired him, but due to his poor communication with his worker about the set up situation, him putting his worker at risk of harm (even though it was easily avoidable) and his response when I called him out on the issues, I am giving a 2 star. Great Service!! Had a backup on Tuesday night around 8:30pm contacted Duck's after hours to schedule service and by 8:15 am Wednesday morning Jose was on site. He handled the situation quickly and fully cleaned out the tanks and installed new risers which a previous company had installed incorrectly making it impossible to access the filter. Ducks septic really knows their...well you know. Called these guys when I had to sell my house and get a mandatory septic inspection. From the start they were the best price and eager for my business. You wouldn't expect good customer service from a septic pumping company but here it was. As promised the guys on the crew called to say they were on the way and arrived on time. Ding dong the doorbell rang and here stood 2 clean dressed guys who explained the process, approx time it would take and answered all my questions. They had original map of the septic (County records) and made quick work of finding the buried caps and pumping out the tank. Best part my landscaping was restored as if they were never there. I contacted Duck's Septic on Saturday because our toilets and tubs were backing up. I spoke with Ernie who was extremely accommodating and professional. He offered to come that very day but I decided to wait until Monday. Ernie Jr and Lupe' showed up as promised. They were quick and efficient and thoroughly explained the job at hand. On Saturday, July 20, 2019, in the middle of our searing Arizona summer heat, our plumbing began backing up. It was chaos. I was cleaning and mopping like mad using every rag-towel available. My husband is currently disabled and was very frustrated that he couldn't help. But, there we were. We called everyone we could think including all the plumbers and septic service companies in the area and no one wanted to come out on the weekend. A friend of ours, a plumber, recommended Duck Septic Services. We called, left a message and to our surprise got a text back right away. As it turned out, the owners were on vacation and we felt horrible about disturbing them. But, they were fine with it and called their brother, who works with them and asked him to respond. He was good enough to do so. Jose was wonderful. He responded quickly, got right to work and fixed the problem. He answered all our questions and got everything under control right away. He was pleasant, professional and a perfect gentleman. He left the yard in good condition when he was finished too. They were very affordable even with a very reasonable charge for a weekend response. We will be calling Duck Septic Services annually now just to be on the safe side although Jose assured us every other year would be fine too. We highly recommend Duck Septic Services. We had our tank inspected and pumped 13 months ago by this company when we bought our house. Our septic was backing up last week so I tried to call them out to come pump and tell us what the problem was. We called on a Sunday because poop was backing up through our showers. I told them they had done the inspection and pumping 13 months prior. They agreed to come that day and then called back to say the pumper wanted to wait till the next day. The next day the pumper called and said "you probably just need to pumped because it's full, if you call a plumber it's probably cheaper but I mean I can come if you need me to" I basically felt dismissed by the whole thing like they didn't want to help or make money for the job. Obviously they didn't want to deal with it because they probably didn't do a good job the first time. I was told our tank shouldn't need to be pumped 13 months after the last pump and inspection. Don't bother with this company. Horrible customer service on top of poor quality work. read more

Horrible I would never recommend them. They came and pumped my septic and never checked for problem. In 3 weeks after they pumped I had problems with it full again. They would not come out and look at what was happening, they just wanted to come pump again and charge me again. It took several hours to find someone who would come out and check it septic to see what happened. The leachfield was never checked and it was the problem. Duck septic should have checked this and know there was a problem that will cause me several thousand dollars that they should have found. They refused to come out, when I ask for help from them instead of coming out to check it they just called. Poor service, unconcerned for what you need. read more
