Jason came to our rescue!…read more We've noticed a very faint gas leak coming from our fireplace key valve for quite some time and my husband finally decided to call the gas company to check it. Well, he called them at 4 PM on a Friday and we quickly learned that may not have been the best idea. They shut off all of our gas and locked us up until the small leak was fixed! Not only is it hard to find a plumber who works on gas lines (about 9/10 plumbers do not do this), it's also tough to get someone out on a weekend Jason came as a referral from our chimney cleaning company and he was incredible. He came out same day (on a Saturday) to take a look and then was able to fix it on Monday/Tuesday. The best part? He was able to fix it by just removing one block from the wall (our beloved 1960s slump block wall that is one of my favorite walls in the house) and he even repaired the masonry afterwards! He literally went to a local shop and picked out the closest looking thing to slump block and made it look as good as new. WE ARE THRILLED! We are so grateful that he was able to fix the leak AND patch the work, all-in-one. The gas company came back out and we passed the test! Hooray for hot showers and clean clothes! Thank you, Jason! However they weren't able to get to my lid and it was too much for them to dig another 3 feet so they just pumped it from the outside pump and weren't able to clean the lid or completely pump the 1250gal tank. I was charged the same price as if they cleaned the lid and did the complete job. I was very disappointed in this and wanted at least $100 back as I believe that is fair b/c they didn't have to clean the lid.. They weren't able to fill the hole up nicely either so my landscapers need to come and fix it.. Not at all what I expected for a higher priced company which was referred to me by my plumber.. Juan-technician was very nice but I feel like i was taken advantage of by the company.
