I've had them work on my HVAC twice now. The first time my drip pan had rusted out and needed replacing. He put in a new plastic pan, new supports, and added some gradient to it so it drains faster. Did a great job, and didn't try to sell me on anything else. The second time was a renter who called complaining the unit was noisy and making a banging sound. This is an older AC unit, but it's a Trane and it's solid. I am pretty sure most HVAC outfits would have tried to tell me that it was just worn out and needed to be replaced. Rob went and looked at it, and the outside condenser was full of dog hair. His diagnoses was that it was making the unit run hotter than normal and raising the internal pressure at the compressor, resulting in the banging sound when it shut down. He cleaned it thoroughly, tested it, sent me pics, and his bill was super reasonable. He's been trustworthy, fast, and done great work. read more

I called West Valley Repair Service about a year ago. They came right away which was great because my fridge stopped working and I was worried I would lose all my food. They were able to do the repair the same day and it was a reasonable price. BUT I give them 5 stars BECAUSE I just had another problem with it again for a different issue and he gave me a reason why he thought it was not working and to check myself. I did and it did seem to be the problem but I had a question so I call again and he explained again and help me out. I was able to fix and not expend one dime and do it the same day (again no food going bad). He seems like a no-nonsense person and would not call him chatty at all but definitely friendly and happy to help. I don't know if that is what bothers others but I think they will do a great job if you know what you need. read more

Used to be very nice man enplane everything and show what it is. May 17th They sent me few very big guys I never see. They are very rude and mean. They told me they fill up my freon about 6lbd. It was only take them about few minutes. They took off very quickly and 5 minutes later it was all gone. I call them back and same guys show up. And they are rude and mean till very end. I called and asked for them to run a diagnosis and all I said is that the unit has ripped off label and there seems to be uneven air distribution at home. After cutting me off like 4 times while speaking, .guy basically said..."look, we're busy enough as it is, I don't have time to send out a technician in order to try and figure out what problem you have". I was completely appalled at the disgusting customer service and how this call was handled. It was my first time calling in and the call lasted about 2 minutes. Unreal! Below is my initial review for this business... However I've since changed my review from five stars to two stars. In recent months this business and the quality of service has dramatically decreased and I no longer recommend West Valley Repair Service. I "think" there was a misunderstanding with an unpaid bill, which I would have been happy to pay except nobody ever called to accept payment or even alerted me that a payment was needed. Instead their new "receptionist" told a referral I sent them that they no longer do business with me because of nonpayment. Firstly, this is extremely unprofessional and secondly it's simply not true. I e-mailed the company directly to inform them of the situation after I heard about this from the referral (obviously embarrassed) and there was no follow up or apology. I eventually tried to use them again hoping that it was a single bad experience, but nobody ever showed to the appointment that was scheduled. This all happened several months ago but upon looking at my yelp page today, I realized an adjustment needed to be made. I hope that West Valley Repair Service sees this reveiw change and gets back to the good business practices they first had. This is a very professional and reliable business! I've used them several times now with a few rental properties that I work with and even once for my own house and I've been very impressed with their response time and results. They've repaired refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers for me so far (But I know that they do other items as well: Swamp coolers, water filters, pool pumps, heat pumps, air purifiers, compactors, disposals, central air and heat, and basic plumbing and electrical too). All of the guys are very knowledgeable, informative, and polite. They will go anywhere in the valley and will provide you with great customer service. On 3/27/15, Wine cooler was not cooling, a technician did come out and change the filter. The wine cooler worked for less than 3 hours. This cost 150.00. When I called the next day, which was Saturday, no one returned my call. On Monday, when I called again, they stated they would send someone out again for an ADDITIONAL charge. When I asked about a refund because the service job was not done correctly, I was told there was not refund, even though they told me there was a warranty for 30 days. Had used them in the past and was very happy with the service, but I am sure I will never use them again. read more

Without a doubt, then best appliance repair company I have ever worked with. They came out the same day - earlier than promised. They were extremely courteous. They didn't even charge me for the service call because we couldn't reproduce the issue with my fridge while they were here. I offered multiple times to pay the service fee and they refused. That kind of service and desire to earn your business long term is almost impossible find nowadays. Also, their pricing is printed right on a laminated sheet they show you - so you know your'e getting the same pricing as everyone else. I would absolutely recommend these guys. read more

The entire process was awful. They said they would call 30 mins before they arrived - they did NOT. Next the technician said he usually repairs AC not ovens - which is what he was here for. The problem was diagnosed with a bad part - they claim they could not find it. Next after the put it back together and left I stepped on a screw that was NOT put back in as well as the racks were put in backwards. Called the office immediately to have tech come back - got a Sprint voicemail. Let one and after 10 min no call back so I called again. They said the tech would come back out - now 30 minutes later still no tech. Really? The tech didn't even put back together right so how can they repair anything. Stay away. There are plenty of other appliance repair companies out there. read more

The appliance was fixed, so the company was able to get the job done. The cost was also cheaper than I was expecting to get it fixed, which much to the chagrin of the company was probably the techs fault for misquoting us. Now onto the reason 2 stars got docked. I originally went with this company over a more reputable company due to their ability to meet my shorter time demands. I needed the appliance fixed and the other company quoted me 2-3 weeks out of the next available appointment. Great, I had a tech show up the same day only a couple hours after I called. The tech diagnosed the issue, reassembled the appliance, and only charged me the 29.95 trip charge. He said if it worked within 2 hours I was good to go, however he would follow up in a day to see if it was working yet. If it hadn't been he would need to come out and verify which part had failed and order the part. No follow up was provided the next day. Another day goes by and I call the tech. He explains his schedule got busy and he wasn't able to make it out. Well that's fine and all, but at least call so we can schedule another appointment. While I'm on the phone we schedule the next appointment for two days later. He said he would call 30 minutes before the appointment and let me know when he was on his way. On the day of the appointment, at the time the appointment was supposed to start, no call from the tech. So I call the tech and ask him where he is. Out of coincidence he was just about to call me to tell me he was on his way. Great. Tech comes out, figures out which part it is, and orders it. Says when it comes in he will follow up and schedule the next appointment to replace the part. He quotes me the price of 165 for part. No follow up again. 2 days later I call him back. Part was received a day ago, he's just too busy and wasn't able to get out to my house yet. That's fine, but at least call so we can schedule something. Again we schedule something for 2 days later. Again the time of the appointment comes and goes so I call the tech. Again coincidentally he's just finishing up and is on his way. Gets to my house, part ordered is wrong part. Needs to order another part, will take another 1-2 days. Tech said he will follow up. 2 days later doesn't follow up, I call him to see what's going on, no answer this time. Call again, voicemail. Call main hotline and talk to owner. Owner confirms part came in earlier in the day and owner will come out personally and replace the part the following day. Owner is now doing it right, calls me 15 minutes before appointment to confirm we're home and he's on his way. Awesome, gets to my house, replaces part. All is going smoothly. Now time to pay up. He asks me if we put a deposit on the part. I tell him outside of the initial trip charge (29.95) we haven't paid a dime yet. He says well the tech only said 177 for the replacement part, which can't be right because the universal part at its cheapest is 229, and as this was OEM it should be more. I told him it sounds like he needs to figure out with his tech where the discrepancy is in the pricing. Calls his tech, tech verifies 165+ tax for the part is what he quoted us. I pay for the part and provide feedback to the owner about the lack of follow up received from the tech. He said I, as the customer, should have been communicating with him about when to schedule the next appointment and his tech receives orders from him about where he goes, not from us. I told him if his tech tells me he's going to follow up, I expect the tech to speak with him about scheduling and making room for the follow up. It goes back and forth with the owner arguing with me about how his tech shouldn't be contacted directly to schedule appointments as he gives out the work orders for the day and I was in the wrong to do that hence why my experience with follow ups were bad as I didn't schedule it with the owner directly. Sorry but your tech needs to contact you the owner about his plans to follow up. Don't hold your customer accountable for your techs poor communication skills with you. So the company gets -1 star for poor customer service as it relates to following up for future planned appointments and showing up late/no shows. They got another -1 star for the owner arguing with me over basic customer service, management skills, and accountability with his techs. They still got 3 stars as the appliance was fixed and was cheaper than expected. I am happy to support local businesses but am on the fence whether to continue using this company in the future. Found them on Craig's List. A $29 diagnosis that goes directly to the repair bill if you have WVRS do the service. Fridge went down, called Robert and he gave me multiple schedule options. I took the one that was within an hour. Benjamin was here on time, professional and courteous. He diagnosed the problem - overheated relay, I authorized the work and the bill was HALF of what I expected. The kicker was that the problem was preventable if I had kept the coils cleaned every 6 months and I already knew that - palm to forehead. Thanks West Valley Repair Service! read more

My oven went out on a friday morning. I called West Valley Repair services and asked if I could get a tech out that day. The tech showed up 2 hrs late and did not even fix the problem but charged me the fee. I then called a gentleman by the name of robert who told me that he would just give me a refund and I can find a new tech. Robert was very rude and unprofessional. I would never use or recomend this company to anyone unless you want to deal with more problems down the road. read more
