I first met Evan in November of 2022, when we discussed repair of a gas fireplace, which he claimed would be fixed by ordering a special remote from the company. Remote was due to be delivered in December. I never heard from Evan. Since then, I have called Shield Services and spoke to his receptionist on several occasions. I have been told multiple times Evan would be calling me, but he never did. The receptionist gave me a lot of excuses. First the remote was "out for delivery". I waited a week, then it was, "I'll have Evan call you". Waited again, no one reached out. I confirmed my contact information multiple times. Multiple calls and unanswered messages. Then I got in contact with the receptionist again who told me it was on backorder. How something can go from "out to delivery" to "on back order" makes no sense to me.
