Redline installed artificial turf in my backyard. The seams were separating as not properly sealed…read more Matt was very reluctant but finally agreed to fix the problem. A different crew came out and pulled the turf up and moved it. They again did not glue the seams properly leaving gaps on every seam where the turf can easily be lifted up. upon discovering this I contacted Matt. All he would say is he doesn't understand why the seams are loose and he would charge me to come back and fix the faulty work. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and thought the $15,000 I originally paid him meant I would have properly installed turf. The turf is unraveling in places and must now be fixed at my expense($900). Matt apparently does not stand behind his work and doesn't seem to even understand why the installation was negligent.

On November 8th 2022, we received a quote from Trey Wilson of Gooden Landscaping, LLC for the installation of an irrigation system in our yard. He quoted $2700 and requested that we pay the full amount up front. I did not find paying the whole fee up front to be normal but he stated because we got a discount he required the funds up front. On 11/12/22, we sent a payment of $2700 via Zelle. He responded that same day that he would start the work on Thursday (11/17/22) or Friday (11/18/22). The work did not start as expected. My husband and I saw him in the community several times from the booking date until 12/13/22 and inquired on when he would start. His response was that he would get to our yard but was busy with others within our community. A text was sent on 12/13/22, asking when he would start the work as I understood the weather was not the best the past few weeks. He responded that he would start the week before Christmas. The holidays came and gone (Christmas and NYE) and we never heard from Trey or saw him in the community. During this time, we chatted with other neighbors who voiced the same concerns but some stated that he has come through and got the job done. On 2/4/23, I sent a text, "Good evening, I hope all is well. When do you plan to work on our yard? It's going on two months now and would like an update. Thank you". I never received a response. Sometime in March of 2023, Trey came to our residence and stated he had some legal Issues. He showed us an ankle bracelet and said he would schedule us later in the month. Once again, he scheduled a date and we kept being rescheduled after checking our appointment date via the email link he sent after payment was made. From April to the end of May of 2023, we saw him in the community on occasion and he kept saying we're next and he would get the work started and never showed up. My husband and I finally made a decision after reading FB post within our community and online of similar issues that we would request a refund and no longer conduct business with Gooden Landscape services. On June 1st, I sent him a text asking for a refund and he responded that he would was actually starting the work the following day. We stated that we no longer wanted the services and want a refund. He replied that that my husband and I would get a full refund the following week. We followed up on June 8th and sent a text asking when we would get the refund. He didn't respond. so another text was sent on June 9th stating the following, "Good afternoon Trey, it's now Friday and we have yet to receive our refund of $2,700. We value small business and love supporting minorities. This is beyond unprofessional, disrespectful and disappointing. We shouldn't have to wait 7-8 months for a service where our money was required in advance. Please refund our money ASAP. You have the option of sending it via Zelle or Venmo. He replied back that he was waiting on the refund going back on his card. Then proceeded to blame us for "canceling" the service and said it would take 5-7 business days to get the money and would Zelle the funds back to us. As of today, Trey Wilson the owner of Gooden landscaping LLC has not refunded our $ 2,700 and have taken him to smalls claims court.
