They even worked carefully around the structures we wanted to keep and connected us with other companies to help with our patio redesign. We couldn't be happier with how quick and smooth the excavation and site prep went. The area is now ready for the next stage of the project. I hired this company to lay pinestraw on our hill and to fill an eroded hole with 2 cubic yards of…read moredirt. The initial quote was $1,000, and I paid a $400 deposit up front. While the pinestraw itself was done well, the dirt work was not completed as promised. They rescheduled our originally agreed date and could only do the work either when I wasn't home or nearly a month later. I chose the earlier date, but after checking the job, I saw the hole was not properly filled. From my own cameras, it was clear they used only about one wheelbarrow of dirt--far less than the 2 cubic yards quoted. When I brought this up, they dismissed the video evidence and insisted their crew had done the work as promised. At that point, they asked me to pay $500 more immediately, saying they would return later to finish filling the hole, and I could then pay the final $100. I didn't feel comfortable paying more until the work was actually completed, especially since their own invoice stated the "remaining balance is due upon completion." Unfortunately, they refused to fix the problem unless I paid more first. I suggested two options: either I pay in full and never use their services again, or they come back to complete the job as quoted (or offer a discount). They chose to accept full payment with no resolution. I went ahead and paid in full, and afterward they texted saying they would come that Friday to finish the hole -- but they never showed up and stopped responding entirely, even after I sent them the video evidence. To make matters worse, they blocked me on Facebook after I tried reaching out again. I specifically hired them because I needed that hole filled, and I would have gladly paid more if the quoted amount wasn't sufficient. Instead, I was left with an unfinished job, no accountability, and poor customer service. While the pinestraw looked nice, the dishonesty and lack of follow-through overshadowed everything. I would not recommend this company unless you're able to be present to watch every step -- but even then, you may still be left frustrated when promises aren't kept.

We needed our backyard cleared for a new playground set for our kids. DTS is These 100% capable of handling big or small jobs. This company has all the right employees and equipment. All limb debris were chipped onsite and leftover large logs were neatly staged roadside for pick up, while all lose debris were hauled away in a dump truck! The crew shows up and waste no time getting right to it! We are so happy we hired them and will not hesitate contacting them again for future projects. I was outside speaking to the plumber and saw the Duncan truck driving by. We flagged him down, he gave us and estimate on the spot and was out the next day. The Maple was about 80 ft tall and close to the house. They cut it down with no damage to the property and cleaned everything up. Honestly, you would have never known they were there or the tree was there. They are amazing, professional, dependable and the pricing is fantastic. The plumber even used them to remove trees in his yard! Use them; you won't be disappointed!

We had a retaining wall replaced in the back yard because it was rotted, a new retaining wall installed in the front side yard to stop erosion, new drainage, a large tree removed, and some planting of new trees and shrubs. The entire process from the first call to completion of the job was simply fantastic! Their pricing was reasonable, they got me on the schedule within a week, and the job was completed in less than 2 days (much faster than I expected). The crew was professional, responsive, friendly, and efficient. It was the best overall experience I've had with a company that I can remember. I highly recommend them for any major outdoor projects (tree removal, retaining walls, hardscaping, etc.).

This company did fine, but the attention to detail and going several thousand over budget despite…read moreminimizing the scope of work was not appreciated. The work they did do got the minimum job done. They dug up plants and landscaping to make room for the new walkway and replanted our meticulously placed landscaping in a disorderly way. For example, we have arranged early spring, early summer, and late summer bloomers in linear order so the new blooms cover old withering each season. They just shoved everything back in the dirt in no particular order so our seasonal blooms are mixed amongst each other and bloom and wither in random pattern. They did not use the correct particle sand to fill pavers so that is washing away and destabilizing pavers after a season. The pavers are cut with huge sometimes two inch gaps around curves and edges. Therefore, the team just packed the excessive gaps and asymmetrical paver placement with wrong particle sand. I asked them to back fill under the low spots --probably fewer than ten different sections of a foot or two stretch--under the fence they built so the dog couldn't get out under the fence. That repeated request was ignored/not responded to, although we offered to pay more for the time and materials. We deliberated over a 6 vs 8-foot fence and settled on 6, but they failed to advise that would not provide sufficient elevation above the very high patio they built to re-grade a steep drop off. So we have an awkward foot or so of fence wall above a very high patio that took two more truckloads of gravel to elevate than quoted. And they broke our water sprinkler system while doing the work. So the sprinkler system that worked before they did their work was broken after and they not only didn't fix it, but said it was due to the sprinkler system being old. Well, don't really care if it's old. It worked before you dug around or near it and it didn't work after. You even told us when you couldn't get it to be functional after your guys did the work and somehow fixing / replacing it is still our problem. Overall, a $30,000 landscape and hardscape job was not done as meticulously as we would have expected. Also, future touch points for follow up work--although we had discussed multiple phases of projects before signing on--went ignored. Don't know what Ted's deal is, but I can say for sure we were not particularly difficult or unreasonable, paid the almost $30k on time and without incident vs $23k we were quoted, and still went ignored, under serviced, and ended up with certain aspects of our home left in worse condition than this contractor found it, costing us even more In the long run.

When I had problems with low water pressure afterwards, they came back out and checked the main water supply. The quickly solved the problem, again, without an extra charge.
