I paid the agreed-upon 50% down payment in full, and the trouble since then has been communication and scheduling. I've had two start dates come and go with no work begun, and several phone calls over multiple days go unreturned after being told I'd hear back the same day. To be fair: the work hasn't started, so this isn't a comment on their craftsmanship, and I'm still hoping to get it back on track. My main caution to others is about the money side. Get a written contract with a firm start date and a payment schedule tied to completed work before you pay anything. And be very careful about large deposits sent by Zelle or Cash App -- those transfer instantly and can't be reversed, so you have almost no protection if the work never begins. If this gets resolved and the job gets done well, I'll come back and update this to say so.

He took thorough pictures and notes on the issues and encouraged me to reach out to the roofers we used over the summer. Just after he left, Luke sent me a quote including his detailed recommendations and pictures/video/observations. I felt respected, heard, and he not only quoted me, but offered to help me navigate next steps with the roofers who need to fix said problems. Because of his professionalism and kindness, I would absolutely recommend him to others and will keep this company in mind for any other needs. If our roofers refuse to complete the job and repair said issues, we will absolutely use QF&CS. I wish I would've had them do this originally!

Charged $704 and no cleaning. I was suspicious so i called our builder who recommended another company. As the other reviews on this page note, i was told by the 2nd company there was no damage and no need for any relining. To add insult to inury they tried to tell me that "relining" isnt as good as replacing the "whole chimney" for $35,000. The 2nd company said that there was no need for any repair but if there were, a relining was about $1,600. This is fraud. And if they say we aren't listed as a customer as apparently they do, I will post the invoice and the charge. Beware.

But upon completion back in September, Dan stated he would seal at no cost "a month after" - that didn't happen. His commit to doing so is the only reason we didn't do it. As a result, it got beat up with the constant weather events and will need to be resurfaced. But second: we contracted with him to do a gutter replacement well in advance of the forth coming rain. It took almost 4 months before he showed. He offered a discount off of the price; then when he finally did show, he only removed some of the existing gutter and left without installing any new. He even left his ladder behind for some reason. Multiple emails for followup status have gone unanswered. It's the lack of communication and unfinished task (which can cause roof damage) that forces star drop. Previously he had indicated that they moved "far up north" - so it's possible he needed to change his service area but hasn't. That's on the business though; if you accept a job and money for the job, you complete the job as agreed. Which might mean something as simple as booking a hotel nearby for a week until the job is done or something.

Home inspector told us that we needed to have some chimney tuck pointing and a cleaning of our chimney completed. Kevin came to do the tuck pointing but told us that the chimney cleaning wasn't necessary at this point (honest!). Kevin also e-mailed photos of his work before/after so we could see what he had done without needing to climb up there ourselves.
